Back In Time by Summer Cheng (@SummerCheng37)
Description
Felix Graham DeVillany always thought life would be better if he could travel back in time.
Little did he know today was no ordinary day.
Felix's POV:
I went to school as usual.
I enjoyed chemistry, science, math, and drama classes.
After lunch, I saw her.
I frowned.
Why did it have to be her?
I never could quite figure her out.
I watched as she entered the music room.
Strange, I thought she disliked music.
I followed her to see what was going on with her.
Little did I know I was about to get my wish.
Not the one where I necessary get the girl.
The other wish was to travel back in time. Nothing could have prepared me for it.
One minute I followed the girl into the music room and the next thing I knew a portal opened out of nowhere.
I see a flash of light beside it.
Odd, this was something almost like something out of a movie.
Only this was no movie.
I backed up.
The girl seemed oblivious to the light and the portal.
I listened to her play the flute, the banjo, and the saxophone.
Amazing was all I could think about her hidden talent.
I saw her pull out a notebook and jot something in it.
Before I knew it, I was pulled into the portal.
As for the girl, she noticed me, but it was too late.
"Felix!" My name was the last thing I heard as I was sucked into the time vortex.
I passed out.
I came too on a table inside a lab.
I looked up to see the startled expression on some scientist's face.
"It is you."
I had no idea what that even meant.
"Where am I?"
"You are in my science lab, but how did you get here, Felix Graham DeVanilly?"
I shook my head in shock.
"Who are you?"
" How do you know my name?"
I watched as the scientist removed their helmet.
I gasped in amazement.
Right before my eyes was a younger version of my high school crush.
At least, she looked a lot like her.
Only her name tag read Tomeo Tsurugi, not Kagami.
"I am Tomeo Tsurugi."
I noticed she looked confused.
"I did not expect you to find this place."
" I did not expect anyone to find it."
"Yet here you are in my lab."
I felt officially freaked out because I was in the past in my crush's mother's science lab.
By the looks of it, Tomeo still has her eyesight.
I dared not say she was blind in the future so as not to spoil anything.
I wasn't sure she could handle it.
"I am sixteen, and I never once thought a boy, let alone the Felix Graham DeVillanilly would arrive here."
I nodded my head.
What was I supposed to do?
Great, I had wished to time travel and did so right before Kagami's eyes. The poor girl needed a lot of therapy after all this.
I scratched my head.
"I was following Kagami into the music room when I was pulled into some time vortex. Then, I woke up here."
"Kagami, strange, I thought about naming my child that very name. I meant in the future if I happened to meet the right guy and have a daughter."
I did not tell her Kagami is her future daughter. The irony of it all, I thought.
"So, are you and Kagami close?"
"Not yet, but I would like to be someday."
"Well, it seems you have a problem then."
I knew when I looked at all the messed-up wires she was right.
"For now, I will pass you off as my assistant, but you must lay low, and not say a word to anyone."
I stood beside her without a clue what I was to do.
Someone came in and saw us together.
"Who is this Tomeo?"
"Oh, this here is my assistant Felix."
"Felix, what a usual name."
I assisted her and made sure not to say a word.
The guy appeared to be jealous. I was glad when he left since I could not tell him I was from the future or that he had nothing to be jealous about anyway.
One week went by since I found myself here.
I had no answers on how to get home either.
Good grief, what was I to do?
I was about to give up when suddenly I saw a flash of blue light, then green.
Another portal opened and I couldn't see a thing on the other side.
I bravely stepped into it.
I must have passed out again because I woke up to someone shaking me.
"Felix, can you hear me?"
"Yes."
"Where am I?"
"You are in the music room at the high school."
"Are you okay?"
"You went missing for a week."
"Yes, I am fine."
"Good cause I would not want my date to be hurt."
"Date for what exactly?"
"Felix, could you go with me to the dance this Saturday?"
"Yes."
"Great, pick me up at 7 pm."
"I'll see you then, Felix."
I watched in amazement as she walked away.
Time skip to Saturday...
I took her to the dance as promised.
I danced with her in the courtyard outside the school.
I tried to convince her to go back inside.
I watched in astonishment as she yelled the open hole, threw something at it, and it sealed back up again.
Whoa, what I woman, I thought.
I danced with her some more.
I kissed her.
I was not sure if it was the right move or not.
I smiled as she slowly returned the kiss.
I knew one thing was sure it was good to be back.
The end...
until the next Miraculous one-shot story,
bye-bye, little owlets!
Summer out!
