Description

  Ladybug sat in the back of the church.  She felt saddened at the sight of Adrien. 

Ladybug's  POV:

   I  sat silently in the church.

   I watched as Adrien sat in the front beside Nathalie and the chauffeur whom he used to call "The Gorilla."

    I  heard him sob as his mother's casket was wheeled toward the altar.

    I  felt pity for him.  

  I had not seen him so sad in years.

  The poor boy must be shocked and heartbroken.

   After all this time, he finds out his mother is dead, and now he feels he is an orphan since his father confessed to everything and is behind bars.

    I  felt tears stain my cheeks as well.

    I  would have come as Marinette but felt I would have been turned away.

    I  listened as Adrien spoke about his mother followed by some words from Nathalie.

     I frowned, his mother had disappeared while he was a toddler, and he hadn't many memories about her to share.

     Such a sad situation for such a kind young man.

      I went forward and placed a flower on top of the casket. 

     "I know we never met, but I promise to take of Adrien for you."

     After the funeral, I decided to drop by for a surprise visit.

       I tapped at his window.

      I  saw him brush back tears as he approached.

     "Ladybug, I do hope you are not angry."

    "I  hoped Marinette would have come."

      I gasped because I didn't think he would care to see the real me.

      "Adrien, I am sorry about your mother."

     I hugged him and worried he would think less of me if he knew the truth.

     I  kissed his cheek.

     I  reached up and kissed his lips.

    Adrien pulled away.

    "Ladybug, as flattered as I am, I can't do this because I l am in love  with Marinette."

      "Tikki spots off!"  There was a flash of hot pink as I detransformed.

        "Marinette?"

        "Yes, it is me, Adrien."

      Adrien smiled despite being sad, and he kissed me.

         "I love you, Marinette."

        "I love you too, Adrien."
