A Fraddy cat by Summer Cheng (@SummerCheng37)

    Marinette's POV:

She sat in the corner and cowered in fear. She was ten years old, but she felt lower than a toadstool right now.

      "Hey, you, girlie!"

  "What do you want?"

   "Oh, I think you know."

Marinette shook her head. She did want to give the bully her lunch money. Why couldn't he leave her alone?

"Hey, you, what is the big idea?"

She looked up to see a boy in a catsuit.

She could tell he was not much older than her. Why was he dressed in leather?

"What is it to you, cat?"

"Can't you see I am busy here?"

"Busy, with what? Picking on a cute girl."

Marinette blushed. She had no idea what made her react this way.

Maybe she liked the weird boy in the catsuit.

"Don't worry, I will protect you, princess."

Little did she know it would be the last time she saw him, or so she thought.

The time skip is brought to you by Plagg's sticky cheese and Tikki's chocolate chip cookies...

  ...Two years later...

Marinette sat in the corner and cowered in fear. She was twelve years old, but she felt lower than a toadstool right now.

Where was her hero in the leather suit?

He had promised to protect her. Why did he not come?

"Cat, cat, where are you?"

"Help me, my cat," she muttered.

The cat never showed.

The bully drew closer and laughed.

"Awe, is the girl crying? Where is the putty cat now?"

"I know, you are nothing but a fraddy cat."

The bully hit her, pulled her hair, and took the money.

Great, now she would have no lunch. She would starve to death, and it was all his fault.

The thing is, she could not understand why he failed to come. It had been two years since she last saw him.

One day later, the same happened as the day before. Every day that year, she lost her lunch money and got beat up.

She shivered and hid in the corner, but no relief ever came.

Soon, it was time for school break.

Marinette thought for sure the bully would give it a rest.

He followed her home and tried to kiss her.

She ran, he followed and pulled out a knife.

She could not cry. Not this time.

"Hey, you, leave my princess be!"

The bully looked up in surprise as a boy in a leather suit jumped out of a tree and used karate moves.

    "Cat, you came back."

  "Anything, for my princess."

The cat kicked the bully's tail. He ran off afraid this time.

Marinette was sad. Why had he taken so long to come back?

"Cat, where have you been? It has  been two years."

"I am sorry. I had to move, but I am back now. I will not leave you again, not ever."

   "Promise?"

"Yes, promise."

From that point on whenever Marinette needed him the boy in the leather catsuit would arrive and help her. They became great friends. Only, Marinette had a secret. One so big she could not even tell the cat about it. She loved him.

the end...

Until the next one-shot Miraculous Story,

bye-bye, little owlets!
