Summary: All Chat Noir wants is to give his lady a relaxing, drama free Valentine's Day. All he has to do is be there for her, just as a friend and nothing more. Besides, what's better at relaxing than chocolate?

Adrien's POV

"Pound it!" Ladybug and I said and bumped our fists.

"I hope there isn't an akuma attack tomorrow, but knowing Hawkmoth, he definitely will want to take advantage of the heartbreak that might happen," Ladybug sighed.

"What's wrong M'lady, too busy to hang out with me and fight akumas tomorrow? You got a date??" I asked teasingly but I was a bit worried.

Ladybug rolled her beautiful bluebell eyes, "I wish! I just want to relax but my best friend probably won't let me. She'll probably just make up some sort of scheme for me to somehow confess to my crush... like that's gonna work out as planned. I just wanna drama free day. No akumas, no Hawkmoth, no fighting, and no boys."

I put my hand on my chest and feigned hurt, "Not even me, Bugaboo? Well I'm hurt!"

Instead of rolling her eyes or yelling at me she actually smiled, "Well... my BFF is probably gonna be hanging out with her boyfriend and I don't have any plans so if you're free then maybe...?"

My eyes widened. This was it, Ladybug was asking me to hang out with her. I made sure I didn't have anything planned and I then remembered that Nathalie and Father were going on another business trip so I didn't have any photoshoots, "I'm completely free!"

"Great! But this is only as friends, ok?"

I nodded, "Yep! Friends only. No roses, got it. I'll just bring chocolate."

She narrowed her eyes at me, "Chat no-"

"Calm down, they won't be from those heart boxes.... Actually, they will be but only because those taste good. Also, who said I was sharing with you?"

"Nuh-Uh, you are definitely sharing! I should probably go, I only have a minute left. I'll bring pastries, see you tomorrow at five?"

I nodded, "Five works!"

Ladybug then leapt off and I watched until her red suit was out of view. I then finally went home.

"Can you believe it, Plagg? I'm hanging out with Ladybug tomorrow!"

The cheese eating kwami groaned, "Adrien, if you start yapping about this all evening I won't transform you tomorrow."

I rolled my eyes, I knew he was joking but I stopped anyway. There was suddenly a knock on my door, it was Nathalie.

"Hello Adrien, just wanted to let you know that your father and I will be leaving now. Your bodyguard is here to watch you. Make sure you stay out of trouble, ok?"

"Yes Nathalie, don't worry. I'll stay out of trouble. See you Sunday, have a good trip!"

When they left I laid on my bed and fell fast asleep and dreamed about tomorrow. I was super excited and couldn't wait.

It was Saturday morning, Valentine's day morning. I had thought of writing some kind of letter to Ladybug but I knew she wouldn't want it. She did say friends only. I just sighed and went to go eat breakfast.

After a few hours it was finally 4:30. I asked my bodyguard if I could go to the Dupain-Cheng's Bakery and he agreed once I told him I would get him Opera Cake. We drove to the bakery and I went inside.

"Hello Mrs. Dupain-Cheng!" I called, "Hope you're having a good Valentine's Day?"

"Hello Adrien! And yes, I'm having an amazing day. Would you like anything?" Sabine asked.

The Dupain-Cheng Bakery doesn't usually sell chocolate but around Valentine's Day, they make some and they always taste amazing.

"I would actually. Could I get some chocolate and an Opera Cake please?" I asked politely.

"Of course, dear. Marinette, if you don't mind could you get the chocolate boxes please?"

I heard a faint voice from the back, "Sure, Mom!"

Sabine packed up the Opera Cake and then Marinette came out, "Oh, hey Adrien!"

"Hey Marinette, Happy Valentine's Day!"

"You too!" She smiled.

"So Adrien, are the chocolates for anyone special?" Mrs. Dupain-Cheng asked while filling the heart shaped box.

Marinette made a weird sound and had an unreadable face. I just assumed she was surprised that her mom asked me that.

"They're for me but my friend is making me share them with her. If I wasn't my kind self I would eat them before I meet up with her," I joked.

Sabine smiled and Marinette giggled. Her giggle was adorable... wait what?! I shook away that thought and paid for my stuff. I went to the car and gave my bodyguard the Opera Cake and we headed back to the mansion. I went to my room and transformed and headed to the rooftop.

From here I could usually see Marinette's Balcony so when I saw Ladybug on it, looking around I was surprised. She then saw me and leaped over.

"Hey Chat!" She said and I noticed she was holding a bag of pastries from the Dupain-Cheng bakery.

Oh she probably was there because she bought pastries! What amazing taste this girl has.

"Hey LB!" I replied.

"So I brought a blanket and stuff so we could have a picnic," She said and started setting up.

"Great idea, M'lady! I brought the chocolates but let's eat the pastries first."

Ladybug shook her head, "Just admit it, you don't want to share."

"Nope, but I'm nice so I will!"

She smiled and we started eating.

"Have you noticed Hawkmoth hasn't akumatized anyone today? I've seen like three people crying and one throw a whole bouquet of roses," Ladybug asked after a while.

"Maybe he and Mayura are celebrating? They seemed pretty close," I wondered.

"They might be. I don't know what to feel about that though? It's like 'Aww, they're in love how cute.' But they're also super villains trying to take our miraculous."

I laughed at that, "Yeah, I guess it's kinda complicated."

She laughed as well, "Yep! Let's eat that chocolate now."

I grabbed the box and Ladybug snatched it from my hands, "Hey!"

"This is from the Dupain-Cheng Bakery?"

"Umm... Yes?"

Ladybug gasped, "But... we only sold chocolate to one person! Wait... Adrien?"

I widened my eyes, "How did you- and what do you mean by- Marinette?!"

She smiled sheepishly, "Surprise?"

I blinked, "I can't believe we just found our identities because of chocolate."

Ladybug or Marinette looked at me and back to the delicious treat a few times then sighed, "Ok you know what? We'll talk about this later, for now just shut up and eat the chocolate."

I didn't want to write a cliche "Marinette tries to confess to Adrien" fic because everyone does that during Valentine's Day, so I decided to make something funny and more friendshipy.
