Rejected part 1
The wind blew Marinette's dark hair around in circles. Despite the wind, it was a perfect day. Perfect day for love. Or...thats what Alaya thought.
"Come on girl! You can do it!" Alaya said trying to push her best friend beyond the brick wall they were currently behind, "Today's the day to confess your love! I know you can do it, I can feel it!"
"No, no, no!" Marinette muttered pushing back on her best friend, "I cannot do it today. My hair is a mess because of the wind, and Chloe humiliated me in front of Adrian today!"
Earlier that day Chloe and Sabrina were hanging out at lunch. The lunch room was as chaotic as ever. Students were screaming at each other, the room smelled like old fish, and Chloe was having a bad hair day. There were only a couple blond strands out of place, but that was a bad hair day to Chloe. Her orange haired friend was slaving away trying to fix her hair.
There's one thing about Chloe and bad hair days. You do NOT mess with Chloe on a bad hair day. You don't even talk to her. You don't even look at her. You don't even go near her. So when Marinette and Alaya walked too close for comfort she started screaming.
"Get out of my way you idiots!" Chloe swiped at Marinette her nails gleaming with bright red nail polish. The entire lunch room was staring at the four girls. "You are and have always been pathetic Marinette! Why don't you get out of my way and try to get with Adrian! Too bad you're nothing to him. And your little crush is obvious,"
As if fate had something against Marinette, Adrian walked in as soon as Chloe had started yelling.
"Oh, come on! You can't let that little thing drag you down. If you do Chloe will have won!" Alaya smiled still trying to get her friend to leave their hiding spot. Marinette knew her best friend was right, but she couldn't do it today. She couldn't do it with her mouth. Suddenly, she concocted a plan.
"Okay...I'll confess..."
"Yes! Okay, go do it, right now I think he's coming!" Alaya tried to push Marinette but her feet were glued to the pavement.
"Not today!" Marinette smiled at Alaya's attempt to push her away, "I'll do it tomorrow, and I'm going to write him a letter instead of saying it out loud,"
"A letter? You know how that went last time," She did. She forgot to sign the letter for goodness sake!
"That's why...I personally deliver it to Adrian," Marinette smiled.
"Really? Okay, it's a plan. Now you get to writing! And pour your heart out," Alaya ran away, probably trying to find where Ladybug was at this exact moment for her blog. Little did she know, she was just talking to the one and only.

The dark haired girl sits at her desk. Paper fills her desk and is overflowing onto her floor. "Ugghhh" Marinette sighed, "I can't do it. I'm going to die alone and Adrian is going to find someone 10 times better looking than me and marry her."
"Oh don't get so down," Tikki said flying around Marinette's disheveled hair, "You're thinking too far into this. Just put your heart into this letter and Adrian will have no choice but to love you!"
"You're right Tikki, I don't know what I'd do without you!"
Dear Adrian,
I stand in front of you with this note, hoping you'll read my words clearly. When you're near my heart pounds. Your hair shines like the sun giving me life with each waking breath. Your eyes as green as summer grass that I want to frolic in.
I really like you and I hope you'll accept my feelings.
Love,
Marinette.
This was as good as the letter was going to get. Marinette transferred the words onto a bright red piece of paper and went to sleep, her heart fluttering with love.

The next day seemed brighter than the day before. Even though there was a chance of rain Marinette saw the sky as bright as ever. She skipped to school, getting there early of course. When she arrived at the front of the school she realized fate was once again on her side. Adrian was entering the school.
Marinette ran to catch up to her crush, but tripped on nothing and fell with a yelp. Adrian turned around, his green eyes staring at her. "Are you okay?" He asked holding out his hand to help her up.
Marinette hesitated for a second. She grabbed his hand. It was smooth as silk. Adrian pulled Marinette back up. "Ummm..." Marinette started trying to grab the sheet of paper from her back pocket, but soon realized she had dropped it.
The bright red sheet of paper laid on the cold pavement right next to Adrian's feet. Adrian must have noticed her staring at it because his eyes soon drifted to it and he picked it up. "Is this yours?" he asked holding it out to Marinette.
"Y-yes...but...n-no," Marinette tried to talk. She took in a big gulp of air. "It is, but it's for you...will you read it?" Adrian's eyes widened before looking down at the piece of paper. He nodded and unfolded it. Marinette watched, transfixed, as her crush's eyes danced across the page. The very same eyes she wrote about.
Adrian looked up. His eyes even wider than before (if that was even possible). "I'm flattered...but I'm sorry. My heart belongs to another,"
It was as if someone had taken her soul and used cataclysm on it. It. Was. Crushed.
Hot tears began to form in Marinette's eyes. Emotions took over her body. She ran passed Adrian grabbing the letter on her way. She ran as fast as her heartbroken body could take her. She didn't know how she ended up there, but she was in a bathroom stall crying her eyes out.
"A teenage girl crushed by her crush. The most emotional state anyone can be in. The perfect state for my next victim. Such easy prey. Fly my Akuma, and evilize her."
The crushed girl is still in the stall crying. "Why did I have to confess my love. Why did he have to reject me?" Marinette cried into her hands.
"It's okay," Tikki said softly flying out of Marinette's bag, "It's not the end of the world."
"Yes, it is...I feel like...like nothing," Suddenly the dark butterfly fluttered into the stall. Before Tikki or Marinette noticed it flew into the letter Marinette was still clutching in her shaking hand.
"Crybaby, I am hawkmoth. I give you the power to toy with other's emotions like they all have done to you. All you have to do in return is bring me Ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculous. Can you do that for me?"
"With pleasure," Marinette growled. A purple light radiated around Marinette as she transformed.
"Marinette! Marinette!" Tikki cried.
