Falling out
Ladybug and chat noir had a falling out. I have not clue why, but that's not important to this one shot.

Adrian's POV
How can I live with myself? After Ladybug and my fight yesterday, I could barely shut my eyes let alone sleep. When I did manage to go to sleep my mind was haunted with Ladybug yelling at me, and me yelling right back. I woke up in a cold sweat very early and couldn't go back to sleep.
I have no apatite, despite working so hard last night during the Akuma attack. I sit down at the large table and wait for Nathalie to greet me. Soon enough she comes through the door, holding a shiny silver plate with sunny side up eggs, a piece of golden brown toast with butter, and a tall glass of orange juice. She sets it down in front of me, but I don't touch it.
"Okay, Adrian. Your schedule is fairly free today, you just have school and then fencing after school. Your father is going to be out of town so the photo shoot was canceled."
"Thanks, Nathalie," I sigh, replaying the hurtful words I threw at Ladybug yesterday, "I'm not very hungry, I think I would rather just go straight to school."
Nathalie glances at me, worry filling her teal eyes. She wipes the look away in a few seconds and replies, "If that is what you wish, I'll push your drive up to right now." Nathalie clicks a few buttons on her tablet, then looks up. "Are you okay, Adrian?"
I'm shocked for a second, but then I put on the best model smile I can muster and say, "Of corse I am." I push my chair away from the table and make my way to the car. I open the door to the back of the limo, and almost immediately the gorilla is in the driver's seat.
The drive to school seems shorter that usual. Before I know it, were at school. I mutter a thanks to the gorilla before leaving the car and walking into the entrance. I walk through the deserted halls and make my way to my classroom. I don't need anything from my locker yet.
When I get to the door, I realize the halls aren't as abandoned as I thought. Someone is sitting right at the door. Is that..."Marinette?" Marinette raises her head from her knees and arms hut she made. Her eyes are slightly red. "I didn't know we were this early."
"The door is locked." Marinette murmurs before putting her head back down. That's weird. I take a couple steps forward and put my hand on the door. It slides open.
"I don't think it's locked," I chuckle a little, hoping Marinette will join me. Instead, she stands up and mutters thanks before going in.
I follow her into the empty room. Only Marinette and me. "Are you okay?" I ask, mimicking Nathalie's question from this morning.
Marinette gives me an all too familiar fake smile and says, "Of corse I am."
I sigh. There's no reason for us both to be miserable. I walk past Nino's spot and slump down in Alya's usual spot. "You're not fooling me, Marinette," I rest my hand on her shoulder, "Now, what's wrong."
Marinette looks up at me, shock in her eyes. She sighs and starts talking. "I had a falling out with a friend yesterday. We were practically best friends, and now everything's gone."
"Alya?" I ask, hoping and praying it's not Alya. From what I gather from the other students, Marinette is a lot happier with Alya than she has been in previous years. I wouldn't want to see a miserable Marinette every day for the rest of the school year.
"Not Alya, thank God. But...It was someone who means just as much to me as Alya does," As she says that, images of Ladybug flash through my mind. Why did this have to happen to both of us at the same time? Marinette puts her cheek on her arm so she can still look at me. "It's just really hard." Marinette's voice wavers.
I look closer and see tiny tears forming in her eyes. "Hey," I calmly say bringing myself down to her level, "You don't need to cry."
"But...this is all my fault. I was the one who started the fight, and If I would have just forgiven him quicker this all would have been over. He probably hates me." Tears are falling rapidly out of Marinette's eyes now. Her face turns red as she sobs.
"I doubt he hates you, Marinette," I say looking into her tear filled blue eyes, "It's hard to hate you Marinette. You're so kind and sweet. Not to mention talented." Marinette's face grows even redder.
Marinette continues to cry. "Well if you're going to keep on crying...I might have to resort to drastic measures," I smirk, digging through my mind for the right thing to say. "What do you call a bear with no teeth?" I wait for a couple seconds, even though I know Marinette isn't going to respond, "A gummy bear!"
I chuckle at my own joke then start to think of another one. "Since it's still breakfast, I should pour some cheerup on your pancakes." Marinette looks at me, the tears slowing down. "Hmmm.....What gets wetter the more it dries?"
"... ... A towel?" Marinette mutters.
"Yes!" I cheer. A small smile grows on Marinette's face. "There we go! Smiley Marinette, just the way we all like her." Marinette keeps smiling, so I keep praising her. "You know, I think your smile is one of the best things about you. Behind your coolness of corse."
Marinette's face turns a shade of deep red. She rubs her eyes free of tears and sits up. I look around to see the whole class has gathered in the classroom. Including Nino and Alya. Alya sitting in my usual spot.
"Do you want your seat back?" I offer to Alya, starting to stand up.
"No-no. It's cool," Alya smiles, looking more at Marinette than at me.
The teacher starts the lesson, everyone starts looking at her and listening to what she has to say. I put my hand on the seat where it accidentally meets Marinette's. My hand tingles at every place her hand is touching mine, yet I don't take it away.
Marinette looks at me, when she see's me look at her though she whips her head to the board where the teacher is writing something. I chuckle to myself and move a tad bit closer to Marinette and start listening to the lecture.
