Chapter 2

"Five....more...minutes..." Emma Agreste-Cheng  said, slouching even farther down into the covers. Her mother, Marinette Agreste-Cheng, approached her again.

"Come on, Kitten, let's go. Do you really want to be late to school?" Marinette told her 16 year old daughter.

"Oh, come on mom; it's not like you were never late. Aunt Alya's told me the billions of stories." Emma replied, giving her mom a arched eyebrow, getting out of bed sleepily. As she finished putting on a slight bit of makeup on, she headed downstairs.

"Hey, Kitten, how's it goin'?" Said her father, the famous model, Adrien Agreste. People said Emma looked so much like Adrien it was like she was the younger him, just a girl version. Sure, she did have her dad's golden-blonde hair and complexion, but her mother's blue eyes and petite, small freckles.

"Emma!!" Yelled a little boy, from across the room, playing Cat Noir and Ladybug action figures by the couch. He came running toward Emma. The boy had blue eyes and navy blue eyes. His hair was messy and short-trimmed.

"Louis! Oomph!" She said as her 4 year old brother came rushing to her.

"Look, I just saved a WHOLE CITY!" he said, holding up his Carapace action figure.

"Wow, Louis, very nice. Why don't you go show Hugo? I'm sure' he'd looooove to see." She said, smiling and rolling her eyes. Hugo Agreste-Cheng was tall, and had his mom's blue hair and his dad's emerald green eyes. He was quiet and reserved and cautious, quite the opposite of Emma. Her mom always joked about her being exactly  like  Cat Noir. Hugo was 16 and Emma was 14, and Louis 4.

"Hey, Hugo. Ready for the first day?" She said, grabbing a flaky, buttery croissant.

"Um, what?" He said, looking up from his phone. She guessed he was looking for news on the famous actress he had a crush on. Emma's mom and dad had known the mother of the famous actress, she was a fashion designer originally from Paris, who had moved to New York for fashion school. They'd always joked about how'd she had been the "queen bee"  of the school. There were news spreading about the designer and her family moving back.

"Hugo, Emma, come on, we're going to be late!" Adrien called from the door outside. The car was parked outside as well. Emma and Hugo grabbed their bags and waved goodbye to Marinette, who was holding a Cat Noir action figure, crouched down on the floor next to Louis, who was smashing the Carapace action figure into the bookshelf.  The first day seemed like it was going to be great.
