Final Chapter

There was nothing more Marinette wanted to do than to simply flop on to her bed and relax.
Though she didn't want to admit it, being a mother changed everything about her.

Being a mom was a full time job. She was either up all night, or she was sleeping too much. Albeit her parents help with her little one, Marinette made it a priority that her and Adrien were solely responsible for their son.

She was grateful for their help time to time, and she loved the few extra minutes of sleep they allowed her.
It wouldn't have done much anyway, she'd be up in a matter of moments, worried sick about Louis' belly, or his toes, or his cute blue eyes.
Sure, these things were silly things to worry about, but could anyone blame her?

She was new at this, and even though no one's a pro at being a first time parent, Marinette was confident her and Adrien were pretty damned good at it.

Half asleep, or fully awake there was no one else on her mind besides Louis.

Of course that's a lie, Marinette often found herself still ogling over Adrien from time to time.
Aside from Adrien Louis was another light of her life
She loved him, and would do anything for him.

The bluenette placed her diploma on to her chaise and she yawned. The girl rubbed her eyes and simply sat at her computer desk.
It was such a long day. She didn't expect graduating to be so exhausting.
Sure, the moment she was able to get her certificate wasn't at all exhausting. It was more of her classmate Chloe.
The entire day Marinette couldn't elude the chatter from that blondes mouth. Marinette even went as far as flashing her " I'm annoyed please don't bother me right now" face, but it was all in vain.

It didn't surprise Marinette in the least that Chloe was throwing a huge party to celebrate the huge step in their lives.

The class was invited and perhaps then some. Marinette wasn't sure she wanted to go, but after hearing about Nathan's possible arrival, her mind quickly changed.

She wanted to make things right with him. She heard he was doing a lot better and since he graduated he seemed pretty excited. Marinette didn't want to move along and start her future with Adrien without speaking with Nathan first.

Marinette was aware that Chloe probably only invited her because of Adrien.
It did seem like It was hard for her to accept that her once prized object of affection had fallen for someone she hated and even created a child with her.
Even though Louis was an accident, the pair couldn't have been happier with the bundle of joy.
Marinette usually wasn't one to gloat. But she somehow felt empowered. She had many things that Chloe didn't have, but this was the icing on the cake.
Adrien poured Marinette in love, and at one point poured that love inside of her.

A cheeky grin plastered it's way on to her face and perhaps a perverted steam may have exhaled from her nose.

"Mommy!!" Louis exclaimed, pulling Marinette out of her indecorous thoughts. It almost made her feel penitent.

Almost...

Marinette turned to find the little one hugging her legs.
She smiled at him. He really was her pride and Joy. She leaned down and picked him up. She held him in ataut but comfortable and loveable embrace and the Bluenette nuzzled her face onto the little one's cheek.

"I guess we will just have to wait for daddy to arrive..." Marinette cooed, poking Louis' small nose. "Not my daddy...but yours."

Louis grinned towards the bluenette, th natural blush on his cheeks on emanating more so with his excitement. The boy bounced in her arms slightly, giggling and wrapping his arms around her. Marinette smiled, hugging her child close to her.

    She really did love him.

----------------------------------------------------------

Marinette was never really the one to wear heels.

Anyone could ask her alter ego, the small frame of a heroine that would jump across the parisian skyline.

High heels weren't ever on the agenda.

Perhaps just for the day. It wasn't like she hadn't thought about it, she just never really found the time.

The blunette looked up, her blue orbs meeting with a pair of green ones, and a small blush dusted across her freckled cheeks.
Her heart mercilessly began to pound against her ribcage as no matter how many times she's seen him, she could never ever get used to the way he made her feel.

"Are you alright, cupcake?" Adrien asked, a small grin forming on his lips as he approached her.

He wore a casual blue botton up top with the first few buttons undone and rolled up at the sleeves.
He topped it off with dark pants that showed his perfectly toned ass so well ( much to Marinette's pleasure).
It almost made Marinette feel lowly in her simply black dress and heels.

"Do you....do you think I should go and change?" The girl asked, suddenly pulling her eyes away from him.
Her oggling got way too obvious sometimes.

Adrien shook his head, lacing his arms around her waist.
"No...you look amazing...." he moved one hand up to cup her face.

She gasped as he touched her face, brushing his thumb over her soft skin.

Marinette gulped, parting her lips as she nearly anticipated a kiss.
Adrien chuckled, his green eyes looking down at her lips before he closed the space between them.

Marinette closed her eyes, the blush running down to her neck the moment she felt his soft lips press against hers.
    Her world melted away.

It always did whenever he kissed her.
She slowly wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer as her lips moved delicately over his.
Adrien moved his hand down her neck, opening his mouth and deepening the kiss.

The blunette furrowed her brow, more than happy to follow through but jerked back the moment a loud car honk interrupted their tender interlude.
Adrien groaned, turning back to look at his ride.
"I guess he's ready to take us to the party." Adrien noted, chuckling about how much his bodyguard seemed annoyed that they were taking their time.

"I'll say..." Marinette breathed, averting her eyes down to look at the car just ahead.

"Shall we go?" She asked, looking back at him.

Adrien bit his lip and then pressed one last kiss to her lips.
"I'll meet you in the car. There's someone I want to see before I go." He admitted bashfully.

Marinette pressed her lips together, trying to piece together what he meant before it finally clicked.

"Adrien, we'll see him when we come back. Your bodyguards been out here for a while..."

Adrien pouted.
"I know...but I miss Louis. I'll make it quick, I promise." Adrien begged, rubbing his nose on hers.

Adrien always got excited when he saw their child. He was growing, and Adrien couldn't think of anything else he was most proud of.
Sure, he was thrusted into the lifestyle of being a parent, but he had the best fiance. He chose right with who he wanted to start a life with as well as raise a wonderful child.

Marinette giggled and she looked up at him.
She stepped away briefly, giving him room to leave away if he wanted.

"You've only been away for an hour." She teased. "But if it felt like forever I can't stop you from seeing him. He's your son too."

Adrien smiled, kissing her lips briefly.
"I'll be right back."

Marinette watched him run into her home, nearly startling her parents who agreed to babysit the little one for the night.

She turned, biting her lip as she stepped forward and nearly stumbled over.

Perhaps wearing heels wasn't the best idea...

----------------------------------------------------------

Marinette didn't mind the loud music and her friends on the dance floor.
She had spent most of her time just eating and kissing Adrien.

Much to her dismay she had tried to avoid the death glares from Chloe the whole night.
Marinette dipped her finger in her drink.

She had quite a few things on her mind.
First and foremost was their son, second she wondered what she wanted to do after school. She needed to think about university as well as externing.

And then there was the wedding.
She had so much to do...
Her blue eyes gently moved over to the dance floor where she glanced over at Adrien and Chloe slow dancing.
Marinette frowned as her gaze landed on Nathan who sat by himself.

Marinette sighed and then she stared back at her drink. She felt awful. She did put off the truth and started this whole mess. Had she been honest and truthful to him, she wouldn't have gone through this whole mess.
Marinette glanced up again. She breathed out and stood up. She carefully made her way to the dance floor.
Her eyes briefly connected with Adrien's before she stepped into the trajectory of Nathan.
"Hey..." Marinette called out to him through the slow music.

Nathan looked up at her.
He couldn't even tell how he felt. With all the run ins with Marinette, he  couldnt tell where he stood.
With a hesistant nod, the red head shifted his weight.

"Hey..."

Marinette could have sworn she felt her heart jump out with relief. She worried he wouldn't even say two words to her.
The bluenette began to rock back and forth on her feet. She looked back, now glancing over at Alya who gave her an encouraging smile.

"I...wanted to apologize...for everything I put you through. I should have been honest with you. I should have told you from the start about me and Adrien...about Louis..." she pressed her lips together. "It wasn't right for me to have kept that from you, even though you were brave enough to tell me how you felt. I realized now that I was leading you on...and it was the last thing I wanted to do."

Marinette felt her heart race inside of her chest.
"If we could move past this...I would love to be your friend..."

Nathan simply looked at her.

It felt like hours...when it was probably minutes. Marinette heard her heart pound in her ears louder than the music that played around them.

The boy smiled at her, slowly standing up to meet her eye to eye.

"I'd love to be your friend, Marinette. I'm sorry too...if I imposed anything on you or made anything hard for you. I...when I get the chance I want to apologize to Adrien, about this whole mixup. I'm sure it wasn't easy for him as well..." Nathan's voice trailed off as he looked at Adrien.

Marinette nearly felt tears in her eyes and before she knew it, she wrapped her arms around him tightly.

"Nathan...you don't have to apologize for anything. Thank you...thank you for finding it in your heart to forgive me." She pulled back to look at him.
"It means so much to me..." she chuckled, trying to blink away the tears that wanted to stream down her cheeks.

Nathan chuckled, wrapping his arms around her. He was just grateful to have her in his life. They had their ups and downs, and of course she was Adrien's, but he knew they would still come together in the end as friends.

"Would you like to dance? If your boyfriend doesn't mind...." he suggested, pulling back to look at her.

Marinette sniffled and she looked at him.

"Erm...he's my fiancé now...But I'm sure he wouldn't mind." She giggled in response.

She watched as Nathan's eyes widened, but he kept the smile on his lips.

"Fiancé?" He mused, holding her hips and guiding her out to the dance floor. "Congratulations, Marinette! I'm sure it'll be a beautiful wedding ceremony...if I'm ever invited." He began to sway her side to side.
Marinette was more than happy to follow his lead and she placed her hands on to his shoulders.

She was ecstatic that her and Nathan were at least decent again.

"Are you kidding? Of course you're invited." She smiled. "I would love to have you there..."

Nathan nodded, a small blush on his cheeks as the two danced with each other in perfect synchronization.

When the music slowly came to a halt, the pair carefully inched away from another.
Marinette felt like she couldn't thank him enough.

"Mind if I cut in?" Adrien asked, appearing behind Marinette with a warm smile.

Marinette looked back at Adrien, immediately melting as his arms wrapped around her.

Nathan stepped back, nodding.
"By all means..." he looked up at the blonde, pausing as he contemplated.

"Listen..." Nathan started, shifting his weight. "I...want to apologize for everything. I shouldn't have pressured Marinette to leave. If I had known she was serious with you, I would have given her space...."

Marinette furrowed her brow. She turned to interject.
None of this was his fault. She had started this whole mess, and she was going to remind him that it wasn't.

"It's alright, Nathan....I'm sorry that this whole mess started..." Adrien responded, cutting Marinette off before she can even speak.
"I'm just glad that we can put all of this behind us..."

Nathan smiled at Adrien, nodding as he couldnt possibly agree more.

Adrien returned the gesture. He knew it wasn't his fault. At least not all of it.

"I'll see you around, okay?" Adrien gestured to the other boy as he began to lead Marinette back out on the dance floor.

Marinette waved to her friend, smiling as he waved back, before he turned to talk to a boy who approached him.

"Well...that turned out better than I expected..."Marinette sighed as a new song began.
Adrien wrapped his arms around her and began to start a new dance.
"I'm really glad its over with. We got Louis back...we have our family and the wedding to look forward to..." Adrien pondered, placing his cheek on the top of her head.

Marinette nodded, closing her eyes and resting her face against his chest.

"Yeah...I'm happy I finally got to applogize to him." Marinette murmured softly, almost nuzzling her face into him.

He was so warm and welcoming. It was nice....

"Speaking of apologies...I think I owe you one. I know I was angry...but it doesn't excuse the way I treated you. Especially when we needed each other the most..." Adrien murmured softly.

Marinette opened her eyes slowly, almost crying at the feeling of how much her heart hammered.

"Sweetheart..." Marinette whispered softly, pulling back to cup his face.
"You don't have to apologize. I already know what I did was wrong...and I'm sorry for putting everyone through this..."

A small blush dusted her cheeks as his lips joined hers.

She closed her eyes, her hands softly playing with his hair as they kissed in their slow dance.

Their lips moved perfectly against one another, the both of them slowly slipping into their own world.
She carefully pulled away and she placed her hand on to his cheek, her thumb brushing against his cheek.

"Well kitty....looks like all we have left to figure out is our future and our wedding..." she smiled, excitement bubbling in her chest.

Adrien laughed and pulled her close.

       "Anything for you, Mrs. Agreste..."
