Description

What happens when Chole's half-sister, Zoe comes for a visit and sees a photo of Luka?

Chole's POV:

Agh, my sister is coming for a visit.

I scramble to clean up the apartment.

I did not know she was coming until an hour ago. It was only because she called saying she was on the way over I even found out.

Well, here I go trying to get the place neat.

  Who am I kidding?

I finish the last dirty dish.

I put away my shoes, swept the kitchen floor, cleaned the bathrooms, and pushed the clean button on the robot cleaner.

I was glad that I had prepared the guest room weeks ago.

I  did it on the off chance I had an overnight guest.

The doorbell rang and suddenly interrupted my thoughts.

   "Hi, Chole."

  "Hi, Zoe."

After a hug, I put her bags in the spare room.

   "Zoe, how has it been?"

  "Good, I suppose."

   "How is Bob?"

"Bob, you mean the cheap loser who dumped me as soon as his other girlfriend won the lottery?"

      "Oops, sorry, I asked."

I fixed us some pizza, a salad, and glasses of water.

After the meal, I took Zoe for a tour around the apartment. It turned out to be a big mistake.

"Chole, who is the cute boy in the photo on your dresser?"

       "Cute boy, what cute boy?"

     "The one playing the guitar."

"Oh, him, that is uh, Luka Cuffaine."

      "Is he your boyfriend?"

I  wasn't sure where Luka and I stood in our relationship, but I wasn't about to tell Zoe.

         "Yes, he is my boyfriend."

"Sweet, so how long have you been together?"

"Six months."  I knew that was not exactly true, because it was more like eight months.

As if he knew he was on my mind, the doorbell rang again and it was you guessed it, Luka.

"Hi, ya, Chole!  Hi, ya, Chole's sis."

"Hi, yourself, and you must be Chole's Luka."

"Chole's Luka, yes, that is me."  Luka grinned.

Chole blushed. She did not know he felt that way about her.

"You look even better in person than in the photo."

"Whatever, Chole I was going to ask if you were free Saturday."

"Saturday, whatever it is she is free that day. I will make sure not to get in the way, toots."

Zoe went to the room she was staying in and shut the door. She turned on the radio to listen to some music. This way she would not feel like she was disturbing her sister and sister's boyfriend.

Chole smiled at him. She thought, great now I have to go with him.

Luka smiled at her. He thought, yes, score for me.

"Chole, here, I figure you liked roses and daffodils, so I hope you enjoy them."

"Thanks, Luka," Chole remarked as she put the flowers into a vase, and filled it with water.

"What photo was she referring to babe?"

"The one with you playing the guitar."

                         "Awe you kept it."

                       "Sure I did."

"Well, that photo is missing one thing."

"Oh, and what might that be?"

                    "You and your adorable face."

Luka pulled out his camera and took a photo of them together. Then, he took the next picture with his phone.

He put the printed one inside a frame. Now, that is better.

Chole squealed when Luka kissed her cheek.

Luka smirked.  "Wow, if I knew I would have that kind of reaction,  I would have kissed you sooner."

Chole leaned in and caught him by surprise when she put a wet one on his lips. He blushed.

                  "Whoa, what was that for?"

"Come on you know you love me."

                "That I do."

                  Chole kissed him again.

Zoe exited the room and saw them kissing. She grinned. I knew those two loved each other. She snapped a quick photo for her scrapbook and sent an extra copy to Chole's phone.
