It is the first day of Kindergarten.

      "Chole, time for kindergarten!"

     "Luka, time for school!"

         ...Later at school, "Hi, I am Luka."

        "Hi, I am Chole."

     "What are you hiding behind your back?"

      "It is my toy bee I got for my birthday. Grandma gave it to me."

     "I got a toy snake last Christmas.  Dad gave it to me."

     "Want to play at recess?"

    "Sure!"

     Chole put her Pollen toy in her cubby.

     Luka put his Sass toy in his cubby.

      They listened as the teacher taught all about the alphabet, colors, etc.

   After the bell rang for recess, All the other kids ran towards the swings, basketball court, or monkey bars.

     A shy boy sat alone on a bench.

    Chole saw him and waved to him.

    "Luka come on let's play!"

    "Okay, bumblebee!"

   "What? I am not a bee." Chole pouted.

     "Well, you look like one."

    "How?"

    "You have one yellow and stripes."

        "Oh, well, you look like a snake."

       "How?"

     "You have on clothes that have a funny pattern on them."

            Chole teased him.  She called him Snaky.

           Luka teased her. He called her  Buzzy.

         The two of them became the best of friends that day.
