Ladybug and Chat Noir were casually talking to their fellow skateboarders, discussing how to make it easier for them to get signatures, as well as some random topics to get to know their crew better, without revealing identities of course.
They were actually having a good time chatting, until Ladybug noticed a face standing out in the crowd without a mask or disguise, and she was coming towards them.
"Excuse me- I'm here on behalf of Chloe Bourgeois!" She stated formally as she stepped forward to the leaders.
The crowd dispersed, letting the redhead make her way forward, but not without some jeering.
"We just got rid of Chloe!" One shouted.
"Yeah, and you're just her lakey!" Said another.
Chat Noir stood up, ready to defend Ladybug, but she stood as well, putting a hand on his shoulder to signal that it was okay.
"Sabrina right?" Ladybug asked, as if she didn't know, "I would ask why you're here, but to me it looks like you're not on Chloe's side either." She smiled kindly, pointing out that Sabrina had a skateboard in her hands, "Did you want to join us?"
Sabrina seemed surprised by the kindness the leader showed, her mind probably corrupted by whatever Chloe said. Shaking her head, Sabrina held out a finger accusingly, "You people will only listen to someone with a board, so I brought one! A-And I have a proposition for you!"
Chat Noir bent down slightly to meet Sabrina's eyes, "Oh my, a proposition? And what would that be, dear?" He smirked, obviously getting a kick out of Sabrina's face turning red.
Sabrina gulped before announcing loudly, "You're not going to give up your identities unless you have something to gain, right? W-Well, I think we should hold a skate off!"
Ladybug raised an eyebrow, "Skate off? Sorry, I'm not familiar with the term."
Sabrina put her board on the ground, took a helmet out of her bag and started to put it on as she spoke, "Two of us skateboard, calling out tricks, trying to one up the last. Whoever falls or can't do the trick first is out. If I win, you reveal your identities. I-If you win... I sign your petition!"
Ladybug looked to Chat Noir, who seemed skeptical of this deal. Looking back to Sabrina, Ladybug replied, "I accept your terms, on one condition. Chat Noir and I skate together. We're both the leaders here, and honestly we have much more to risk in this deal than you do."
Sabrina seemed intimidated, but nodded, "Agreed. Where will we do this?"
Chat Noir intervened here, "Well if you really want to do some good tricks, we'll have to crawl under the police tape around the skate park. Can you handle that?"
Sabrina went pale in a flash, but shook her head to snap herself out of it, "Y-Yes." She said hesitantly.
"Then it's settled. You hear that everyone?" Chat Noir announced, "Skate off at the park in five!"
The crowd cheered and grabbed their boards, zooming off towards the closed off park.

The kids rushed over to the closed down park, happily climbing over the police tape, having no fear of being caught. The police chief's daughter was with them after all, and they had taken the police shifts into account when organizing.
The cement pipes and ramps were a welcome sight, but despite the urge to skate freely, the crowd held back while Ladybug, Chat Noir, and Sabrina climbed up to the top of the concrete playground.
"Ladies first." Chat Noir said, motioning to Sabrina.
Sabrina gulped. It would be her first time skateboarding in practice. She was too busy helping Chloe with homework and projects for extracurricular activities, she had only bought the board that night. Of course, she had done plenty of online research on how to skate before coming here, but there is a difference between watching videos and doing the tricks yourself.
Setting her board on the edge, Sabrina stepped on and rode down into the halfpipe, wobbling at first but managing to swerve around the bowl and ride up to the other edge, landing on the other edge with a small flourish. Able to relax again, she felt her confidence grow, and looked over to Ladybug and Chat Noir, "How about that!"
Ladybug turned to Chat Noir, "This is her first time," She whispered, covering her mouth with her hand, "I think if we can show her that it's actually fun she may give over her signature willingly."
Chat Noir nodded, "So don't crush her completely in this contest, got it." He winked.
Rolling her eyes, Ladybug smiled and placed down Tikki, her board, and prepped to skate. Chat Noir followed suit, and with a nod, they both skated down the side of the bowl, copying Sabrina's moves with a little more mastery than she had. Swerving from side to side, Ladybug and Chat Noir high fived each other as they passed from one side of the bowl to the other, each landing on the rim in sync, all to the roar of the crowd.
Sabrina was clapping as well. Only when she realized she was clapping with actual enthusiasm, she quickly stopped herself, crossing her arms, copying what Chloe would have done.
Chat Noir called out, "It's okay to let loose Sabrina! Admit it, you're having fun!"
Ladybug smiled, "Would you like to show your moves again? You're pretty good for a first timer!"
Sabrina seemed to be shocked by the kindness. Nevertheless, she rode down the concrete again, this time attempting some of the tricks she had studied beforehand. In a wobbly attempt at an ollie, she landed wrong and fell off the board, thankfully catching herself with her hands before her head hit the pavement.
Ladybug and Chat Noir hurried down into the bowl, quickly helping Sabrina up.
"Are you okay Sabrina? Did you scrape your hands?" Ladybug asked, "I have some bandages in my bag."
"Don't worry, you can try that again, we'll let you." Chat Noir added.
Sabrina was standing now, but staring down at her slightly scraped palms. Looking between the two leaders of the rebellion, her blank expression slowly turned into a smile.
"What a rush!" Sabrina shouted, "This is so much fun- can I go again? Forget that stupid deal, I don't care what Chloe says, this is fun and exciting and- and we can't stop doing it! I won't stop!" She looked at Ladybug quickly, "Where's the petition, you have my signature!"
Ladybug smiled and nodded, "We got you Sabrina. Welcome! Let's get your name on those papers."
Climbing up and over the edge of the bowl, Ladybug hurried over to her bag, pulling out the list of names and a pen. Sabrina grabbed it, signing her name as she talked to some members of the crowd, confirming it was her first time on a board, laughing and having fun.
Ladybug smiled, "We're gonna prove to all our opposers that skating is fun and safe!"
"Well you have me on your side!" Sabrina added.
"You have all of us, My Lady!" Chat Noir said with a smirk.
The clock tower nearby echoed out the time. It was really late.
"Alright people, that's all we can do tonight!" Ladybug announced, "Keep collecting signatures and check on the forum whenever you can to find out the next meeting spot and time! Bug out!"
With that, Ladybug rolled off on her board, back home.

Marinette snuck back into her room through the trapdoor on the roof of the bakery. Washing the red and black makeup mask off, she changed into pajamas and hid Tikki the board under her bed, along with the rest of her supplies.
Tonight was proof that Chloe wouldn't be able to control all of her classmates forever. It gave Marinette hope to see that even Sabrina could change.
The mission had a long way to go though, and a lot more signatures to collect before the mayor submitted the law for approval.
But she had faith, she had her friends, and she was determined to keep her passions in Paris.
