Inside a certain massage shop, a certain old man was meditating with a kwami beside him. "Master, are you okay?" The kwami asked. "They're here!" The old man said. There was a knock on the door. The kwami hides inside the phonograph. Marinette and (Y/n) enter inside. "Hello, Ladybug! Hello, Chiroptera." Tikki and Bitz flew out from their hide spots.  "We know you never wanted us to bring them here again but... you must see what they discovered." Tikki said. "Go on. Show him, (Y/n)." Bitz smiled. "(Y/n) and I have been here; we've met you before. You're the healer that cured Tikki and Bitz when they were sick! Soo... I'm guessing you're not really a vet?" Marinette asked. 

"Not really. That was your first day of school, that wasn't a chance meeting either. Marinette, (Y/n),  you both are always ready to help others. I knew that day, that very moment, that you'd make a fantastic Ladybug and Chiroptera!" The Guardian explained. "You're right. I did remember helping you out on my first day. But, who exactly are you."(Y/n) questioned. The Guardian stood up and guides the girls to the phonograph as he uses a code to unlock the Miracle Box.  "Master Fu is the last known member of the Order of the Guardians!" Bitz explains. Then the other kwami flies out the phonograph and flew towards the girls. "Guardians of the Miraculous! I'm Wayzz, Master Fu's kwami. It's a pleasure to meet you, Marinette and (Y/n)." 

"Uhh, you too!" Marinette awkwardly chuckles. "Whoa, amazing. Please to meet you too, Wayzz." (Y/n) shook Wayzz's tiny hand. "We guardians are responsible for protecting and distributing the Miraculous, for the good of all humanity. We are chosen in childhood and trained for many years, specially for this mission. When we were much, much younger, we...I made a mistake. The guardians' temple was destroyed, all because of me! Two of the Miraculous were lost that day. The Butterfly and the Peacock. Also gone forever was the ancient spellbook!" Master Fu explains what happened in his past. "But, we don't understand. All this books has are drawings of ancient superheroes and strange symbols." (Y/n) goes through the pages. "Not strange to a Guardian. Back in the days, I was never given the opportunity to even have a look at it, but I've been taught enough to be able to partially decipher the code." Master Fu explains as he puts the Miracle Box. The girls looked at their kwamis before (Y/n) hands Master Fu the book. "These pages contain various spells capable of giving Ladybug and Cat Noir special abilities we haven't known about, until now! Obviously, this book is invaluable." Master Fu explains as he looked through the pages. The girls were in awe of this new information about their miraculous. 

Master Fu led the girls to a small table as the kwamis were flying around in circles in the room. "I've always believed that whoever possessed this spellbook must also have the Peacock and the Butterfly Miraculous." Master Fu examines more of the book. "Wait a sec, you mean whoever owned the spellbook could be Hawk Moth?" Marinette questions. "How did you discover this book, Marinette and (Y/n)?" Master Fu asked. Marinette was having flashbacks of Adrien with the book, while (Y/n) was having a flashback of Lila stealing it. "Um...well..you see-" (Y/n) was cut off by Marinette.  "We found it, lying on a bench in a park close to... close to the school." Marinette lied. "You both didn't see who it belonged to, then?" Master Fu questioned again. "No. No, we...didn't." Marinette told. "Mari." (Y/n) scolded softly for Master Fu couldn't hear them. Tikki and Bitz looked at them before shrugging their shoulders. "What a shame. For a moment, I thought we were about to discover the identity of Hawk Moth. We would've had a chance to defeat him." Master Fu said sadly. "We could investigate more if you want." (Y/n) suggested. Master Fu closes the book. "But you must be very careful, girls. If you both succeed, you both may well find yourselves face to face with Hawk Moth." Marinette and (Y/n) nodded. "Don't worry, we'll be careful." (Y/n) said. Marinette took (Y/n)'s hand as they left. Their kwamis followed along. 

The girls were running back to school to investigate more about where the book came from. Tikki pops out from Marinette's purse. "Why did you lie to Master Fu?!" Marinette looks down at Tikki. "I couldn't tell him that Adrien was the one who had the book. Adrien can't be Hawk Moth!" Marinette and (Y/n) stopped as Marinette let out a gasp. "But what if he is? Th-That would mean that I'm crazy in love with a supervillain! I can't be crazy in love with a supervillain... I... I'd have to fight him and..." (Y/n) grabs Marinette by her shoulder. "Marinette, relax. Think about it. Adrien was with us when some of our friends were akumatized. There's no way he can be a supervillain. Plus he's too nice."(Y/n) lets out a sigh. "Maybe it was a good idea that you lied. I don't want Master Fu to think less of me if he found out I was related to a thief. " Bitz pops out from (Y/n)'s hair. "Don't worry about that, (Y/n). Master Fu will never do that besides he picked you as Chiroptera for a reason." (Y/n) smiled. "Yeah, you're right."(Y/n) smirked as she turned to Marinette. "So, any idea where Adrien might be." Marinette smiled as she placed a hand on her heart. "I know that boy's schedule by heart." (Y/n) grabbed Marinette's hand. "Then, let's go!" They both ran inside the school. They check everywhere such as the locker rooms or other classrooms, but no sign of Adrien. 

"I don't see him. Something's up. Adrien never misses his fencing lessons." Marinette said. They continued their search until they heard Chloé crying."Oh no!" They ran inside the classroom to see their classmates around Chloé as Sabrina was trying to comfort her. "This is a terrible tragedy!" Chloé cries "Why is so crying this time?" (Y/n) placed her hand on her hip. "Adrien's never coming back to school! Ever! Oh.." Chloé continues crying. "His dad grounded him!" Kim told. "For life." Max added. "What? Why?" Marinette was confused. "Something about losing this major important book that belongs to his dad." Nino explains. "His dad? Ha! Phew!" Marinette sighs in relief. ""Phew"?!" Chloé exclaims as everyone stared. "Marinette means phew because you made it sound like Adrien got into an accident and his in the hospital. Geez, Chloé. I know that everyone is super sad that he's not coming back to school, but don't scare people like that!" (Y/n) lightly scolds as she leads Marinette out of the classroom. They soon dashed towards the girls' bathroom. They each entered a stall as their kwamis came out. "So it wasn't Adrien's book. It was his father's! Adrien isn't Hawk Moth!" Marinette sighs in relief. "I told you that Adrien is too nice." (Y/n) said from the next stall. "But, Nino explained that Adrien did take the book without his father's permission." Bitz pointed out. "Well, he must've had a good reason to do it." Marinette reasoned. "You both realize, based on Master Fu's theory, Adrien's father could be Hawk Moth." Tikki told. "No way! It couldn't be! Hmm... An eccentric artist who never leaves his home. Mysterious, very intelligent, but cold, even with his own son. This is a very strong lead, guys!" Marinette exclaims her thoughts out loud. "You guys better be careful." Bitz said. "Don't worry, Bud. We will." (Y/n) said as she shouts to Marinette in the next stall. "Ready to transform?" Marinette shouts back. "You know it!" 

"Tikki, spots on! Ha!" Marinette soon transforms into Ladybug.

"Bitz, fly in the night!" Then it was (Y/n)'s turn to transform into Chiroptera. 

Once they were done, they climbed into the school roof and once they landed on a certain spot, Ladybug tried to call Cat Noir. Only, it leads to voicemail. "Has the cat got your tongue? Leave a message!" 

"Where is CN?" Chiroptera rolled her eyes. "Cat Noir, Chiroptera and I think we know who Hawk Moth is! Get your whiskers over here fast!" Ladybug left a message. 

It's been a while and there was still no sign of Cat Noir and the two superheroines were getting frustrated. "Where is that dang cat!" Chiroptera exclaims. Finally, Cat Noir arrives. "Cat Noir, did you get our messages?" Ladybug asked. "Yeah, and I can't wait to know more, M'Lady-tective and Investigator Bats. So, who's the suspect?" Cat Noir asked. "Gabriel Agreste." The girls told at the same time. Cat Noir gasped as he loses balance on his staff. "You know, the fashion designer?" Ladybug said. "You got proof?" Cat Noir was conflicted. Ladybug stammers. "I can't tell you." 

"So, I'm supposed to just... accept that?" Cat Noir questioned. "Think about it, CN. Gabriel Agreste is a secretive man and he never leaves his house." Chiroptera explains. Ladybug pulls out her yo-yo and shows images of Gabriel's fashion logo. And get this. Check out his brand's logo." Cat Noir was stunned. "A butterfly?" The girls could see that something is wrong with him. "You good, CN?" Chiroptera placed her hand on his shoulder. Cat Noir turned him back . "It's time to get to the bottom of this." With that, the trio leaves the school and goes to the Agreste mansion to confirm their suspicions. 

They were able to make it and they entered Gabriel's office to see a lot of broken pieces of furniture. "Whoa, did this guy throw a tantrum or something?" Chiroptera placed her hand on her hip. Cat Noir looks like a childhood drawing of the Agreste family. "Are you sure you're okay?" Ladybug walked up to him. "Yeah. Yeah, let's keep going." Cat Noir told. Ladybug gasped. "He's got a son! Let's go check his room; make sure nothing's happened to him." The trio runs out of the office and into the front hall. "Where's Gabriel Agreste?" Cat Noir demands. On top of the stairs was the new villain. The Collector. "There is no more Gabriel Agreste. There is only...the Collector!" He threw his notebook toward the trio. They quickly dodge it as it captures the entrance door. Chiroptera could see the notebook coming back and quickly pushed her partners down before the notebook could hit them. "You won't be able to escape!" The Collector chases after them as they try to fight back with their weapons. As they were running around the mansion, they ended up in the dining room. Cat Noir throws his staff. "CN, don't!" Chiroptera warned, but it was too late. The staff was trapped inside the notebook. "Nice piece, wouldn't you agree?" The Collector taunts as he throws his notebook again. He misses as he trapped a chair instead. He erases it and chases after them. The trio quickly hides behind the staircase. 

"The akuma's gotta be in that book!" Ladybug exclaims. "Yeah, but how exactly are we gonna catch it." Chiroptera was trying to catch her breath. "Lucky Charm!" Ladybug summons her power and out appears the object. "A pedal?" Ladybug uses her Lucky Vision but sees nothing. "I have no idea what to do with this. We need to stall him." 

Suddenly, the staircase disappears. "Ladybug, Chiroptera, and Cat Noir, you shall be the masterpieces in my new book of inspiration." The Collector announced. They continue to fight with the supervillain. "Echo!" She summons her power. She throws the glowing orb and saw wave signals only she could see. She could see where The Collector would throw his notebook. It was about to hit Cat Noir, so she threw her tessen fan at the villain. Sadly, The Collector traps her weapons in his notebook. He continued to attack, Chiroptera quickly had her arm in front of Cat Noir to protect as The Collector was getting close to them. Before he could trap them, Ladybug uses her yo-yo to stop him. He quickly uses his notebook and trap's her yo-yo. "My collection's growing!" The Collector exclaims. "No!" Ladybug shrieks. The Collector throws his notebook again as the trio barely escape it. They quickly leap toward the second floor. "So that must mean...Gabriel Agreste can't possibly be Hawk Moth, since he's been akumatized!" Cat Noir smiled. Chiroptera glared and bonked Cat Noir in the head. "Dude! How is Agreste being akumatized a good thing!?" Cat Noir whines as he rubs his head. They quickly ran off as The Collector was hot on their tails. 

The trio quickly hides inside Adrien's room. They grabbed some furniture and quickly barricade the door. "Hey, where's the Agreste's son?" Chiroptera noticed that Adrien was gone. "Maybe the Collector's already captured him." Cat Noir suggested. Ladybug gasps in shock. "You think he'd take it out on his own son?" Chiroptera raised her hand. "Okay, I find that very messed up." Before Cat Noir could answer anymore. The Collector opens the door. "You cannot escape from me." He laughs evilly as he makes the objects disappear in his path. Suddenly, Ladybug got an idea. "What if he has no pages left in his book?" She then uses her Lucky Vision again. She noticed certain objects and figures out a plan. The Collector finally manages to get through the barricade. He tries to capture the young heroes, but they got away. Cat Noir and Chiroptera went up to the bookshelves while Ladybug hid behind the TV. "But before I immortalize you, allow me to seize your Miraculous for Hawk Moth." The Collector said. Ladybug makes a quick getaway. "Cat Noir, Chiroptera, I need ammunition!" She yelled. "You need what?" Cat Noir was confused. Chiroptera looks around and noticed the bookshelves. "I get it now! We have to complete his collection!" 

"Very small, Bat Bud. Quite ingenious." Cat Noir smiled. "Less talking, more doing!" Ladybug yells as she tries to get away from The Collector. She grabs Cat Noir's tail from his suit and heads over to the Foosball table while Cat Noir and Chiroptera continue fighting the Collector. "Cataclysm!" Cat Noir summons his power. He uses the cataclysm on the bookshelf, with CDs dropping down. Ladybug then attaches the pedal along with Cat Noir's tail to the Foosball table to create a makeshift device. "Ready, Cat Noir and Chiroptera?" Ladybug asked. "We're ready, LB!" Chiroptera confirmed as she and Cat Noir were ready to give her a hand. Ladybug quickly uses the makeshift device to fire numerous CDs while they were being dropped by Chiroptera and Cat Noir. The Collector uses his notebook to trap the CDs as he walked towards Ladybug. "Come on! Come on!" Ladybug was getting more nervous. Cat Noir dropped the last of the CDs. "No more ammo!"The Collector was closing in on Ladybug. He captures the Foosball table and opens his notebook onto Ladybug.

"Ladybug!" Chiroptera exclaims. Once the notebook touched Ladybug nothing happened. The Collector gaped. He turned the pages of his notebook. "Huh? It's already full!" Ladybug quickly kicks the notebook out of his hands. Cat Noir was able to catch it and throws it towards Chiroptera. She caught it. "My book! No!" The Collector exclaims. Chiroptera quickly rips it in half. The akuma flies out. "Miraculous Ladybug!" Ladybug throws her Lucky Charm into the air and turns everything back to normal. Cat Noir got his staff back and he kisses it. Chiroptera giggles as she hugs her tessen fan. Ladybug was also happy to have her yo-yo back.

"Ladybug opens up her yo-yo. "No more evildoing for you, little akuma. Time to de-evilize! She catches the akuma with her yo-yo. "Gotcha!" She releases the now purified butterfly. "Bye-bye, little butterfly."

The Collector transforms back into Gabriel Agreste. The two heroines went up to Cat Noir. "Pound...Uh." They stopped when Cat Noir ran towards Mr. Agreste. "Are you okay, Faaa...sir?" He asked. "Cat Noir, Ladybug, Chiroptera, what happened to me?" Mr. Agreste questioned. "You were akumatized by Hawk Moth. But don't worry, it's over now!" Cat Noir explains. "Thank you, thank you, the three of you!" Mr. Agreste gasped in realization and looks for his son. "Adrien...where is my son?" 

"He...must be hiding?" Cat Noir told. "CN is right. If he was captured he would have appeared right now." Chiroptera smiled. "Nothing must happen to him. He's too precious to me." Mr. Agreste puts his hands on Cat Noir's shoulders. The feline hero smiles at him. Ladybug then noticed that their miraculous was beeping. "We're about to transform back. Goodbye, Mr. Agreste." Ladybug first left. "Take care, sir!" Chiroptera went after Ladybug. "Don't worry yourself, sir. I'm sure your son is safe and sound." Then Cat Noir left last. What they didn't know was that Mr. Agreste smiles evilly when they left. "See you very soon!" 

Back at Master Fu's massage shop. The three kwamis were playing around with the phonograph while the girls were telling Master Fu everything. "So, since Gabriel Agreste was akumatized, he can't possibly be Hawk Moth, right?" Marinette told. "That's very probable, but...how did you find out that Gabriel Agreste was the owner of the Spellbook?" Master Fu questioned. "Well, you see sir, we saw it with our friend Adrien who is Gabriel Agreste's son, Adrien. He had it at school, but it was stolen by my sister and then our kwamis got them back. So we only just met you and we didn't know how to explain it and I didn't want you to think less of me if you found that I'm sisters with a thief." (Y/n) put her head down. "You both were afraid in case the one you cared about turned out to be Hawk Moth." Master Fu said and turned to Marinette "Maybe even love" This caused (Y/n) to snort and snicker. Marinette begins to stammer. "Wha... Uh, no, uh, how did you know that? I mean, I don't love him at all." She chuckles nervously as Master Fu giggles. "Oh, all right, yes, Adrien is amazing. I couldn't stand the thought of him being a supervillain." 

"You know, girls, if we want to be stronger than Hawk Moth, we have to trust each other." Master Fu explains. "We know; but now, Adrien will never be able to come back to school because we can never give him that book back. I'll never ever see him again!" Marinette falls over on (Y/n)'s lap and cries. (Y/n) pats her head in comfort. "There isn't a single problem that can't be solved, girls." Master Fu then began to take pictures of the contents of the Miraculous Spellbook with his phone. "These modern inventions really are quite incredible. Hmm." (Y/n) nodded her head in agreement. 

Later, the girls went to the Agreste mansion as they explained to Mr. Agreste about the book. First Marinette was using a cover-up story, but (Y/n) knew that was wrong. She lets out a sigh as she steps in front of Marinette. 

"Actually, sir. When Adrien took out the book...my sister actually stole it from him when he wasn't looking. We went to confront her, but she dumped it in the trash to cover up her track. We tried to return it back to Adrien, but we heard that he wasn't allowed back in school. So, yeah. That's the real truth. Marinette was making up that story so you wouldn't see that I'm sisters with a thief." (Y/n) told, well almost the full truth. "I see. So, your sister is one of his admirers?" Mr. Agrestse questions. "To be honest, sir. I have no other words to describe my sister at the moment." (Y/n) rubs her head. Marinette pulls out the book from her backpack and hands it back to Mr. Agreste. "You won't say anything to him, will you?" Marinette asked. Mr. Agreste shakes his head "no". "Will you allow Adrien to come back to school?" (Y/n) asked again. "Well, considering he didn't actually lose my book as it was borrowed by your sister, yes I will." Mr. Agreste answered. "Thank you." The girls thanked as Nathalie guides them out the door. "Hmm, can I ask you a question?" Marinette asked as Mr. Agreste nods. "We flipped through the book and it looked really awesome. Those illustrations of legendary heroes are super...inspiring. Where did you get it?" She asked. "I found it while I was on a trip overseas with my wife. I've never seen another copy of it." Mr. Agreste explains. "Well then, you're very lucky to own it." Marinette told. Before they could leave, (Y/n) stopped one more. "Just in case, sir. You might want to be careful if my sister is around. She can be very tricky." (Y/n) warned. Mr. Agreste nodded. "I'll keep that in mind." The girls waved and take their leave. 

Tikki pops out. "It was really brave what you guys just did for Adrien." Bitz nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I bet he appreciates it." 

"Thanks, guys. All that really matters is for Adrien to be allowed out of the house again." Marinette said as (Y/n) smiled. They walked away from the Agreste mansion. 

The next day, the students were able to see that Adrien was back in school. Nino went over to hug his best friend. That was until Chloé pulled him away and leaps into Adrien's arms. She then takes a selfie with him. As the crowd surrounds Adrien. Marinette sighs in relief as Alya placed her hands on her shoulders as (Y/n) smiled at them. 

Right after school, (Y/n) went back to Master Fu's massage shop. She explained to him that after everything that happened with her sister, she just wanted to make sure if a certain miraculous was real. "...so is there any way, I can see the real fox miraculous?" (Y/n) asked. Master Fu chuckles. "Of Course, (Y/n)." Master Fu punches the code in and takes out the Miracle Box. Once he opens it. (Y/n) grabs the fox miraculous and examines it. She smiles as she was happy to know that her sister will never have the real fox miraculous. "I have a feeling that someone will be worth of this power. I know it and they will give foxes a good name." (Y/n) said. Master Fu smiled at her as he knew that she was right.
