It was just another sunny day at Collège Françoise Dupont. The best friend trio known as members; Marinette, Alya, and (Y/n) were reading a magazine and seeing some of the clothing and what's their horoscope. 

"Leo: Your heart's gonna roar." Marinette read as she turns the page and sees pictures of Adrien. "Wow, roar!" This causes the girls to giggle at their little joke. What they didn't know was that they were being spied on by Adrien and Nino. Since Nino had a small crush on Marinette, Adrien tried to give him some pointers but failed. Nino tries to go up and talk to her but fails again. 

The girls were walking out of school as they were having a conversation. What they didn't know was that Adrien and Nino were hiding behind a banister waiting for the girls to come closer. Adrien signals Nino and they come out of hiding.

Marinette sighs as she holds the magazine in front of her. "Oh, he's such a—" 

"Smartie, hottie, suavísimo, yummy-tastic spellbinder!" Alta listed. "All of the above," Marinette said. "I think we might be missing a few more words of how Marinette would describe her dream boy." (Y/n) smiled which caused her friends to laugh. Suddenly, Marinette accidentally bumps into Nino. He just stands very still in front of her. Then, Adrien appears behind Nino. "Oh, so sorry." He nudges his best friend. "Right, Nino?"

"Sorry." Nino was still stiff. Marinette giggles shyly. She looks down and panics when she noticed her magazine had pictures of Adrien. She bends down to pick it up but Adrientries to help. They accidentally bumped their head together. "Sorry." They apologize together and Marinette grabs her magazine back. "Sorry about that. How could we make it up to you? Any ideas...Nino?" Adrien asked Nino, but he didn't answer. "How about we all check out the...zoo today? Word is they've got a new..." He snaps his finger for Nino to finish. "Uh, they-they got a new panther." Nino stuttered. "That's a great idea. Marinette loves animals." (Y/n) nudged her friend. "Uh, yeah. I, uh, I'm really into zoonimals. I mean, uh, anizools. I mean zoonimoos. I..." Marinetta sighed from embarrassment. "Cool. Say, after school, four o'clock? Nino, sound good?" Adrien looks at Nino. His best friend nods. "Cool, four o'clock then." 

"Four!" Marinette smiled. Adrien nods and pulls Nino to walk away. "Four o'clock.Yeah..." Marinette has a lovestruck look on her face. (Y/n) playfully knocks on Marinette's head. "Hello? Is Marinette home? You do realize that Adrien just asked you out on a date, right?

" Yeah..." Marinette suddenly panics. "Huh, wait, what?! No, not like this! Not here, not today! I haven't washed my hair! I'm not wearing my lucky socks! Help me, Alya and (Y/n)! I can't do this alone!" She hugs her best friends. Alya and (Y/n) smiled as they patted her head. "You have lucky socks?" (Y/n) playfully questions. 

It was finally four o'clock. Marinette was sitting by some benches as she turns on her an earpiece in her ear. Once she turns it on, she was startled by her friends' outbursts. 

Alya: One, two, one, two, testing. 

(Y/n): Can you read us, Mari?

Marinette: I can hear you guys. But I still don't think I can go through with this.

Now, Alya and (Y/n) are seen hiding behind some trees to help Marinette with her 'date' with Adrien. "'Course you can. Just be yourself!" Alya exclaims. "Remember the last time I did that?" They heard Marinette's voice from their end. At school one time, (Y/n) and Alya told Marinette to be herself as she tried to talk to Adrien. Only she didn't notice that she ended up in the boy's room. She quickly ran out before she could embarrass herself more.

"Fine, just be yourself and look where you're going," Alya adds while (Y/n) tries to cover up her laugh. She did find that day pretty funny. Alya and (Y/n) can hear Marinette talking to herself. They thought that she was giving herself a boost of confidence. "You got this Marinette! Just stay positive!" (Y/n) exclaims. 

"Yeah" Marinette giggles, and looks to her right. "Ah, there they are!" She was wrong. It was actually Max and Kim. Max waves at Marinette while Kim raised his arm in salutation. "Hey, Marinette!" 

Marinette sighs in relief before she puts a hand over her speaker. "False alarm." She then greets Kim and Max. "Hey, Kim, Max; what are you doing here?" 

"We heard the new panther's here. I wanna see who's got the bigger guns!" Kim explains as he strikes some muscle poses. "Do you want to come with us?" Max asked. Before Marinette could answer, she heard Alya over her earpiece. 

Alya: Marinette, target at ten o'clock!

"NO!!!" Marinette panicked while Max and Kim looked confused. "Aha, I mean, uh, thanks but...no thanks. I'm waiting for someone. Uh, you go ahead."

"'Kay, maybe we'll see you later, then," Kim said as he and Max left. "Yeah, later!" Marinette said her goodbyes to her friends. She turns to see if she can find Adrien, but she only saw Nino. He smiles nervously while waving and walking towards her. Marinette spoke to her best friends over her earpiece. "Where's Adrien?" 

(Y/n): We don't know. We don't see him anywhere. 

Marinette looks behind Nino. "Uh, hey, Nino! Uh, isn't Adrien with you?" Nino shrugged nervously. "We'll be better off without me." Marinette was confused by that. "Uh, without him. I mean, we don't need Adrien to hang out at the zoo." Nino quickly corrected himself. 

Alya: Of course we do, you dumbo!

(Y/n): Alya, hush!

"Of course we do, you dumb—" Marinette stopped herself from repeating what Alya said. "oh I mean, wasn't he supposed to come? Don't you wanna wait for him?" 

"Not yet!" Nino whispered to someone in his own earpiece. Turned out it was Adrien helping him too. "What was that?" Marinette questioned. Nino turns back to Marinette. "You're right; we'll wait."

Marinette and Nino did decide to wait for Adrien. Now it has been over a few minutes and there was still no sign of him. 

"He sure taking his time, huh? He's not coming, is he?" Marinette began to feel disappointed. "Yes, he is, but first I wanted to take this opportunity to..." Nino began to speak. "Tell you that I-- Gahhh... I... Love a girl that I don't know how to tell her!" Nino exclaims. "You do? Well, I can help you with that." Marinette smiled. "You could?" Nino questioned. 

(Y/n): Ha, ha! You giving advice about romance. Says the girl who can't confess her love to her dream boy. Can't wait to hear this one!

Marinette mocks (Y/n) softly. "Can't wait to hear this one..." Nino looked at her confusedly. "What?" 

"Uhh... Can't wait to hear... about this lucky girl!" Marinette exclaims. "Oh, yeah...It's youuu...ur best friend Alya!" Nino panicked and said the wrong name. 

"What?!" Marinette and (Y/n) smiled, while Alya and Adrien (who they didn't know was hiding too), were shocked. "Alya? Awesome!" Marinette was overjoyed. 

"No! No! It's not awesome!" Alya yells. She turns to see (Y/n) busting a gut. "And quit laughing, (Y/n)!" 

"I'm sorry! This is too much!" (Y/n) laughed. 

Marinette: I can fix up a date for you guys!

They heard Marinette from their earpiece. Now, (Y/n) was laying against the trees as she was dying from all the laughter. "Ha, ha, ha!!! This is awesome! Marinette, tell him I can help too!" Alya glares at (Y/n) before she talks to Mainrette on her earpiece. "Say what?! Seriously?! You didn't even ask me first! Uh-uh! Nino's like... a brother to me! Bleugh! No! End of discussion!" 

Marinette turns away from Nino to talk to Alya. "He's gonna be so sad if you don't." 

"Did you say something?" Nino questioned. 

"I said... It'd be so sad if you didn't tell her!" Marinette covered up her lie. Alya was getting more frustrated while (Y/n) had finally calmed herself down. 

Alya: This whole date thing with Nino is not happening! Ugh!

Suddenly, everyone heard familiar screams. It was Kim and Max. They were running away toward them. "He's coming!" Kim screams. "Get outta here!" Max yells in fear. They turned to see that they were being chased by a panther. Then more animals followed from behind. "We better ditch this place!" Nino yells and runs off. Marinette follows.  Alya and (Y/n) run off seeing that the animals were coming toward them. They quickly separate from each other since the animals were all over the place. Once away from Alya, (Y/n) found a hiding spot by some trees. Bitz flew out of (Y/n)'s hair. "I thought the zoo was meant to be fun. Not turn into an actual jungle." (Y/n) chuckles lightly. "Yeah, you got that right, Bud. We have to find a way to get these animals back into their exhibits and fast! Bitz, fly in the night!" 

(Y/n) begins to transform as Bitz enters her choker. It reveals a glowing bat with five pieces on it. (Y/n) crosses her hands over her face as she claps her hands together as her light purple suit morphs around her. She places her hands on her head as bat ears appear and putting her (h/c) hair in a high bun with two strip of hair in the front. A light purple, tessen fan that is similar to a bats wing appears in her hand as she slashes the air and poses with the tessen in front with her as her other hand was crossed over her stomach.

Chiroptera quickly runs off to see if she can find Kim. Seeing that one panther was after him. Kim tries to run away from the new supervillain, Animan. Before Kim could run any further, Animan caught up to him and blocked his path. "You lost, kiddo. What do you think of panthers now?" Animan taunts. "That... panthers are the best?" Kim answered in fear. Ladybug then appeared in front of Kim. "And what do you think about ladybugs?" Chiroptera appears next to her. "How about bats?" Cat Noir leaped on the other side of Ladybug. "And another black cat?"

"I think I'm higher on the food chain." Animan growls. They saw that Hawkmoth was communicating with him. "If you want to live, then you better run!" Chiroptera exclaims to Kim. he nods and takes off. Animan chases after him, but Ladybug stopped him with her yo-yo. "Cat Noir, his bracelet. The Akuma must be inside the charm!" She said. "You two hold him, I grab the bracelet." Before Cat Noir could grab Animan's bracelet, the other animals were protecting him. "Attack!" He commands. The hero trio quickly runs away from the animals. 

"We need to put them all back in their cages!" Cat Noir exclaims "Wow, really!? Why didn't we think of that!?" Chiroptera yells sarcastically. Ladybug, Chiroptera, and Cat Noir saw Alya and Nino running from the gorilla. "I think we'd better split up!" Ladybug told them. "I'll take the boy, you take the girl!" Chiroptera told. Ladybug nods as she gets Alya and (Y/n) gets Nino. They put them into an empty animal habitat. "Stay put and you'll be safe," Ladybug told and closes the door. The two heroines nodded at each other and went to go help Cat Noir. 

Cat Noir was able to get away from the animals by going up to a high tree. Ladybug and Chiroptera were able to find him on time. "There are too many of them! We can't capture them all." Ladybug told. "So what's the plan, LB?" Chiroptera asked. They noticed the animals getting closer so they moved farther away."Back to Plan A. If we can destroy his bracelet, I can capture the Akuma. Everything will go back to normal!" Ladybug explains the plan. "Sounds like a good idea!" Cat Noir smiled. "I'm down with that plan." Chiroptera agreed. The animals were able to escape the zoo. The trio ran back to where they left Animan, but the moment they came back, he was gone. Ladybug looks her yo-yo, but it wasn't broken. "But it's unbreakable!" She gasped. Cat Noir kneels and gives it back to her. "He didn't actually break it." 

"Then how was he able to escape?" Chiroptera put a hand to her chin. "I don't know, but we better find Kim... I mean, that boy before he does." Cat Noir said. Ladybug extends her yo-yo and leaps away. Cat Noir and Chiroptera followed. They landed on a rooftop to find either Kim or Animan. Chiroptera gasped as she spotted the both of them. "Guys, there!" Ladybug and Cat Noir could see Animan approaching Kim. 

"It's down to just the two of us, Kiddo," Animan growled as Kim falls. "And then there was one." Just as Animan leaps toward Kim, Ladybug was able to stop him with her yo-yo. "You're not getting away this time!" Chiroptera lands next to her and takes out her tessen fan. 

Cat Noir lands next to Kim. "Quick, go and hide in the first building you come to." He was able to place a tracker on Kim's back as he runs off. "You'll never get me!" Animan suddenly transforms into an eagle and flies away. "Oh, so that's how he got away." Chiroptera was shocked. "Where's Kim?" Ladybug questioned. Cat Noir takes his phone and detects Kim's location. "Good job, kitty." Ladybug scratches his chin. 

The hero trio makes it to where was Kim's location. He was able to hide in Marinette's family bakery. They leaped on the rooftop. "He's safe inside this building. Panthers can't open doors, so it won't get inside." Cat Noir said. "We know that panthers can't, but he'll be able to transform into something smaller like a lizard or mouse," Chiroptera explained. "Right. But we do have an advantage over him. We know exactly where to find his prey." Cat Noir told. "Animan will sniff him out sooner or later, but it's bought us a bit of time to plan our next move." Ladybug said. The trio hears a man fleeing from a bear. "Animan must be stopped or Paris will be turned into a Jungle." Chiroptera crossed her arms. "Follow me." Ladybug leaps down as her partners followed. They entered the bakery. "Hi, mo...am." Ladybug awkwardly greeted. "Oh, you're... you're, you're Ladybug!" Sabine gasped. "Yeah, exactly." Ladybug smiled. Everyone entered inside Dupain-Cheng household as they were watching the news. 

Nadja: We interrupt this broadcast with a special report. Animals are invading Paris. The police work harder trying to contain the situation. For your safety, stay in your home and remain calm. Mayor Bourgeois will address the--

The News was cut short when Sabine turns off the TV. "You'll be safe here. Can I borrow this?" Ladybug asks Kim for his wristband. "Sure." Kim gives it to her. Cat Noir and Chiroptera were busy looking at the family of Marinette and her parents. Even though she was Chiroptera right now, (Y/n) was glad to make such an amazing friend like her on her first day in Paris. 

"Come on, Cat Noir and Chiroptera. Make sure you lock all the doors and windows." Ladybug told the Dupain-Chengs. "We'll take care of the rest. You won't be in danger." Cat Noir said. "Then everything will be back to normal soon." Chiroptera smiled. "Thanks Da-- I mean, sir, for all your help." Ladybug thanked. "You're welcome, Ladybug." Tom nodded. The hero trio ran downstairs. Ladybug puts Kim's wristband on the stair railing. "Et voila."

At the entrance of the bakery, Chiroptera and Cat Noir can see all the animals from the zoo still making havoc in the streets. Suddenly, Ladybug sprays them with an air freshener. "Hey! What the!?" Chiroptera shrieks from the sudden spray. "Whoa! What's that stuff?" Cat Noir asked. 

"Air freshener! It'll cover up our scent so he can't smell us." Ladybug explains. "Ha! Nice thinking!" Chiroptera comments. "Thanks. I've always wanted to smell like..." Cat Noir smells himself. "Ocean summer breeze?" He noticed a small box. "Couldn't we capture him inside something like this?" 

"That will work only for a moment, but he'll be able to turn into something bigger," Chiroptera explains.  Ladybug noticed a bus outside. "Would that make a big enough cage?" 

"Definitely. But how could we get him inside there? Cat Noir asked, then he hears Animan. "He's coming." He pulls the girls down with him to hide. Animan flies around as he uses his senses to find Kim. "It's working. He's sniffing out Kim!" Ladybug exclaims. Cat Noir is sniffing her. He gasped and giggled shyly. Ladybug looked unamused as always. Chiroptera made her friend better by bonking Cat Noir on the head. "Don't be creepy, CN." Ladybug smiled at her bat friend. "Thanks, Tera. Now, follow me." (Not avoid confusion, Tera is short for Chiroptera.)

Animan goes over to the bakery, where he transforms into a small ladybug. He enters the keyhole. The only thing he was able to find was Kim's wristband. Suddenly, he was trapped by Ladybug with a box. "A Ladybug? Smart choice." Ladybug smiled. Suddenly, Animan turns into a panther and chases the trio out of the bakery. "Couldn't he choose a slower-moving animal?!" Cat Noir yells. The trio made it to the bus. They hid in the back of the bus, while Animan slowly looks for them. The trio nodded at each other. They surprised him. Cat Noir and Chiroptera hold him off while Ladybug goes to the front of the bus. "Where's the button for the doors?" She pressed all the buttons, but nothing works. "Of course, nothing works! No keys!" 

Animan morphs into a bear and knocks Chiroptera towards Ladybug and Cat noir to the ground. They could see that Hawkmoth communicating with Animan to take Cat Noir's miraculous. "Cat Noir!" Chiroptera yells. Ladybug kicks Cat Noir's staff back. "Echo!" Chiroptera summons her power. She throws the glowing orb and saw wave signals only she could see. She can see what animals Animan will turn into and where he can attack. Chiroptera throws her tessen fan at him to get him away from Cat noir. Animan turns into a ladybug and back into a panther. While Animan was distracted Chiroptera quickly pulls Cat noir away. Once back into a panther, they could see Animan is getting tired. "Guys, look! Every time he transforms he gets tired!" Chiroptera pointed out. "Then just let him wear himself out. It'll make it easier to capture his Akuma." Cat Noir said. "Cataclysm! " Cat Noir summons his power. He uses his Cataclysm to use with the buttons. The trio quickly escapes the bus, but Animan is trapped inside it. "It's not exactly a cage, but... it'll do." Ladybug said. Animan morphs into a bear and roars angrily. "I don't think he can bear to listen to that noise." Cat Noir jokes. "CN, sometimes you are too much to bear." Chiroptera smiled as she shook her head. "Now we wait." Ladybug said. Animan tries to escape by turning into a gorilla. "Ready to free the Akuma?" Cat Noir asks. Animan morphs back into a panther, tiredly. "It's working!" Ladybug exclaims. Suddenly, Animan morphs into a bigger animal. The trio gasped in shock when they saw him morph into a dinosaur to escape. "Oh, come on! How is that fair!!" Chiroptera screams. "Hey! Since when do extinct animals count?" Cat Noir pointed. "The T-Rex might have disappeared a long time ago, but technically it's... still an animal." Ladybug explains. Animan, in his T-Rex form, roars at them. "Well, I know some other animals that will soon be extinct... The bat, the cat, and the ladybug!" Cat Noir yells as they all run away from Animan. 

They quickly hid behind a car. "Lucky Charm!" Ladybug summons her power and summons a car jack. "Huh? A car jack?" She questions. "From what I remember, dinosaurs aren't machines." Chiroptera raised a brow. "Too bad Animan doesn't have any flat tires." Cat Noir adds. "Look how small his front arms are." Ladybug points out. "So it won't be great at basketball. What are you getting at?" Cat Noir questioned. "You two climb on top of him where he can't swipe at you both, and while you guys distract him, I'll floor him!" Ladybug explains her plan. "Good thinking, LB." Chiroptera smiled. "Sounds like a good plan. I can be very distracting." Cat Noir leaned towards Ladybug. She was getting annoyed and Chiroptera thankfully pulled him away by his ear. "Not now, Cat Noir." 

Animan finds them and chases after them. Cat Noir and Chiroptera get on top of his head to distract him. Ladybug then pulls him with her yo-yo and ties him up. Cat Noir and Chiroptera leaped next to Ladybug. "Okay, that was a little easy." Chiroptera crossed her arms. "Well, that's weird, we didn't have to use this. What does it mean?" Ladybug looks back at her carjack. "Well, I guess that only means we rock as a team." cat Noir goes over to Animan to retrieve the bracelet. Ladybug gasped when she had an idea. "Cat Noir, wait!" She grabs him back before he could get eaten by Animan. The dinosaur roars angrily at them. "I know what to do." Ladybug then runs towards Animan. "Ladybug!" Cat Noir and Chiroptera call out to her. "Enjoy your meal! " Ladybug jumps directly into Animan's mouth. "NO!!!" Cat Noir and Chiroptera cried. They summon their weapons to prepare to attack the villain. "You're so gonna pay for this!" Cat Noir screams. "Spit her out! Now!" Chiroptera demands. Suddenly, Animan's mouth slowly opened, They saw that Ladybug was using the carjack to make sure his mouth stays open. Cat Noir and Chiroptera smiled in relief. Ladybug takes Animan's bracelet and breaks it. Freeing the Akuma. "No more evildoing for you, little Akuma. Time to de-evilize!" She catches the Akuma with her yo-yo. "Gotcha!" She released the Akuma, who was now a butterfly. "Bye bye, little butterfly. Miraculous Ladybug!" She throws the Lucky Charm into the air, its energy turns everything back to normal. Animan is turned back into Otis. He was confused about how he ended up where he was. "Pound it?" Ladybug held her fist up. To her surprise, Cat Noir and Chiroptera hugged her. "Ladybug!" 

"That was a wild ride." Cat Noir said. "Don't ever scare us like that again." Chiroptera smiled. Cat Noir's miraculous beeps  "Whoops! Better take my whiskers and run!" He takes off.

"See you next time, Cat Noir." Ladybug and Chiroptera smiled. They went to check on Otis. "Oh! What happened to me?" Everything is alright now. You should head back to the zoo and check on your animals." Chiroptera smiled. She suddenly heard her miraculous beeping. "Now's my time to get going. See ya, LB." Chiroptera left. Ladybug smiled at her friend. 

Chiroptera was able to find a hiding place in the park and quickly transformed back into (Y/n). Now, (Y/n) sighs in relief seeing that earthing was back to normal. Suddenly, she received a call from Alya. "Oh, shoot! I forgot Alya!" Bitz popped out from her hair. "If she found out that you're the Chiroptera that locked her in with Nino, she'd be angry." (Y/n) laughs nervously. "Yeah, I'd rather take mad, than get killed by her." (Y/n) answered the call. She apologized to Alya for leaving her alone and laughing about being set up with Nino. She could hear Alya giggling a little and asked her to meet up at Marinette's family bakery. 

(Y/n) made it to the bakery to see that the three besties made it at the same time. Seeing each other, they laughed together. Nino came out of the bakery with purchased cookies. He gives one to Alya. "Thanks, Nino." She accepted the cookie. "Do you want one, Marinette and (Y/n)?" Nino offered. "Uhh...What's he doing here?" Marinette asked Alya. "And...what is going on here?" (Y/n) questioned. 

"Ladybug and Chiroptera locked us up together in the same cage all afternoon," Alya explains "It turns out we have lots in common. You know, Marinette, the girl I've got a crush on?" Nino adds on. "Oh, yeah!" Marinette nodded. "Actually, it was you," Nino admits. Marinette and (Y/n) were shocked to hear that. "Or that's what I thought. But after chilling with Alya that whole time." Alya interrupts Nino. "Yeah, well...we don't have to give her all the deets, do we?" 

"Oh, yeah, my bad." Nino smiled. "The funniest part of it was that Nino was being totally coached by Adrien at the zoo!" Alya told. "Adrien was there!" Marinette exclaims! "Now there's a twist." (Y/n) smirked as she place a hand on her hip. 

"Yup! LOL, huh?" Alya jokes. "Alya tells me you've been crushing on some dude," Nino said. Marinette was shocked to hear that. "He doesn't know who it is! Pinky swear!" Alya linked her pinky to Marinette's.  "Cause... cause I don't go and make decisions for other people! Or laugh about new situations we had to get ourselves into!" Alya smirked at her friends. (Y/n) just shrugged innocently. "But if you want, I could totally make it happen!" Nino shuts up when Alya steps on his foot. "That is if I knew the dude!"

"Nino!" Alya exclaims. 

"Fine. Pretend I never said anything. But if I...can help." 

"Nino!"

(Y/n) laughs at their antics. She wraps her arm around Marinette's shoulder. Marinette wraps her arm around (Y/n), seeing that this plan may not have gone as planned, but it went better than they expected. Now that Alya and Nino are together.
