"What's the exciting news?" Questioned Rose with a smile decorating her face.

"Well, our class has been specially invited by the rulers of China to see their daughter become crown princess!" Ms. Bustier said with a happy smile.

The students began talking simultaneously.
"No way!" Alix exclaimed.
"From what I heard, their daughter's never been seen. This will be the first time she makes a public appearance." Max told her and pushed up his glasses.

"We get to see an actual crowning?!" Squealed another student and the conversation's became unintelligible to Marinette.

She couldn't believe her mom was actually going through with it! Inviting her whole class to witness her becoming crown princess.

The bluenette was snapped out of her trance by the familiar voice of her friend.
"Aren't you excited, Mari?!" Alya asked her best friend happily.

"Y-yeah, super excited..." Marinette said with an awkward smile decorating her face.

The teacher allowed the students to conversate for a few more moments before hushing them.

"Alright, students. You should start packing once you go home because we will be leaving on Wednesday to explore for a while before the coronation on Sunday. " The teacher explained and the students cheered. Ms. Bustier silenced them.

"Now, that doesn't mean this will just be a sight seeing tour." She continued. "You'll be expected to write a paper describing your trip and what you saw. It will be graded."

The class let out a series of annoyed groans, receiving a chuckle from the teacher.

"Now let's actually start class." She turned towards the board. "Open your books to page 67."

The class opened their books and the lesson began. Around 20 minutes into the lesson, Adrien snuck onto his phone and texted Marinette.

The bluenette sneakily took out her phone. She read over the text.

Adrien: Hey, Mari! It's me, Adrien! You okay? I heard about what happened to you yesterday

Marinette giggled quietly and texted the male back.

Mari: Oh, you heard about that, huh? Yeah I'm fine ^°^

Adrien: Thanks to the amazing Chat Noir right? Btw lovely outfit!

Mari: I suppose so :P I really owe it to him! And thanks, it's inspired by Chat.coincidentally.

Adrien: Haha! I'm sure he'd love to hear that!

Mari: Let's get back to class before we get in trouble!

Adrien: Alrighty

The two put away the phones and tried to focus on class while being bombarded with questions from their respective best friends.

The day went by rather quickly and before they knew it, lunch time had approached.

The bell rang and the teacher stopped writing.
"Alright, guys. I'll see you after lunch, class dismissed."

Marinette and Alya packed up their stuff.

"Mari, Is it okay if I come over to your place for lunch?" Alya asked and put her bag on her shoulder.

"Of course Alya!" Marinette nodded and the two headed out of class together.

"I have a lot of packing to do after school!" Alya squealed and the girls headed to the Dupain-Cheng Bakery together.

"Same here." Marinette agreed and cupped her hands together.

They eventually arrived at the bakery and Marinette unlocked the door, opening it for her.

"Where are your parents?" Alya asked curiously as her eyes scanned the currently empty bakery.

"O-oh um...they went to visit relatives yesterday..." Marinette awkwardly lied, hoping Alya wouldn't catch on.

"Oh, okay." Alya nodded, accepting that answer.

Marinette took a few macaroons from behind the counter and split them between her and Alya.

"Thanks girl! You know how much I love your macaroons!" Alya ate one of the macaroons happily and the two walked to the living room.

"Yep! Enjoy!" Marinette giggled and ate her own macaroons. She plopped down on the couch and turned on the television set.

Alya plopped beside her and rested her head on her lap as she ate and watched T. V.

The two finished lunch rather quickly and just continued to watch the cheesy and dramatic romance shows for the rest of the time.

Eventually the two decided to walk back to school so they wouldn't be late for their next class.

The rest of the day past by in a blur and Marinette was glad to be on her way home. Alya had insisted to walk Marinette home and had dragged her boyfriend Nino along, who had brought Adrien.

At first, Marinette was mad, but she slowly just accepted it. She could finally manage to have a conversation with Adrien without stuttering madly or freaking out.

The group of friends were joking around and laughing together, happy just to be hanging out.

Eventually the fun came to an end once they arrived at Marinette's bakery.

"Aww, bye guys!" Marinette walked to the door and opened it.

"Bye, girl!" Called out Alya happily.

"See ya!" Nino chuckled and waved.

"Yeah, see you later Mari!" Adrien called out and the three walked off.

Marinette went inside the bakery, closed the door and quickly began packing some stuff to bring for when she was supposed to go to the jet tommorow.

After packing a few items, Marinette transformed into Ladybug and began her patrols.

A few hours had gone by and Marinette returned from patrol. Not much interesting happened besides defusing a few arguments today. She was just about to continue packing when she was stopped. 

"Come on Marinette, you packed enough for your trip. You should get some rest." Tikki told Marinette and she nodded.

"You're right, I need sleep..." Marinette yawned and showered quickly, before changing into a comfortable pair of shorts and oversized Ladybug t-shirt. 

Marinette hopped into bed and closed her eyes, doing her best to sleep. She eventually fell asleep, only to have her slumber interrupted by the knocking on her roof entrance.

Marinette groaned into her pillow and got up out of bed. She opened up the entrance and was greeted by a grinning cat.

"Chat. What are you doing here?" She groaned in annoyance.

"Aww, I apologize for waking the princess from her slumber." Chat smiled at her. "A...friend of mine told me you wore an outfit inspired by.me today?" He asked.

"Mm. Yeah. I have outfits inspired by both of Paris' superheroes.  Why?" Marinette raised an eyebrow.

"Hehe, thanks. " Chat smiled at her happily.

"Thanks? Thanks for what?" Marinette asked curiously and crossed her arms.

"It's just that...A lot of people don't really consider me a 'superhero' more like​, Ladybug's sidekick..." Chat muttered. "It's a bit upsetting when Ladybug gets most of the credit when we both work equally together."

She couldn't help but feel her expression soften and she hugged the male carefully.

He hugged back and the two stood in a comfortable silence.

Chat slowly let go and broke the silence. "Again, thanks princess and try to stay safe okay?" He added, referencing the night before. "I don't need anything happening to you." Chat joked.

Marinette rolled her eyes and chuckled.

"I'll let you get some sleep, night." Chat turned and prepared to go up on the roof.

Marinette pecked his cheek gently, feeling like he needed it. "Night, Alley Cat. Stay safe and sleep well."

He smiled and jumped up to the roof, disappearing into the night.

Marinette went back on her bed and laid back down, falling fast asleep under the warmness of the cover.
