Trust me

"911 whats your emergency?"

"Crash! A car crash! A girl's still inside a car, she won't wake up!"

"Can you get her out?"

"People have already tried! We can't!Just get here! You're gonna be okay girl."

"Where is this crash?"

"Right outside the school. Please hurry!"

"Stay calm ma'am, they're on their way."

"Alright guys, 3 car, car crash by the school. Only one victim apparently severely injured, female, believed to be unconscious, but prepare for the worst." The EMT chief told the 5 other EMTs in the ambulance as it slowed to a stop.

Adrien nodded and the back doors swung open, revealing one car flipped over, another had it's hood tucked underneath the upturned car's trunk and the third had hit a guard rail facing the river. All three cars were totaled beyond repair. People were panicking, a familiar ombré haired girl was yelling at a fireman as tears fell from her face, and others were calling home, confirming their family they were safe. All except one.

The blonde hopped out of the back and ran to a blue haired girl being laid on the pavement. "Status?" He asked a firemen as he bent down beside her.

"Critical. Was driving the flipped car."

The girl was covered in gashes and glass, coated in a sheet of dust. Her hair covered a large, bleeding gash on her forehead. Adrien gently brushed the hair away and almost froze when he realized who this was: Marinette.

It had been years since he had last seen his cheerful classmate. Years since he'd seen her beautiful, ocean blue eyes.  Years since her adorable nature had made him blush. Yes, Adrien Agreste had a crush on Marinette Dupain-Cheng.

He shook his head and refocused on the task at hand. After checking her pulse, he began to put braces around her neck and back incase they were broken. He also semi-tightly taped gauze to the cut on her forehead. In doing so, he saw a deep wound on her leg, extremely close to an artery he realized. He decided the wound needed to be treated right there on the side of the street if Marinette had a chance at surviving this.

Upon closer inspection, Adrien saw large pieces of glass and hundreds of mini ones lodged into the gash. He heard yelling as he took out medical scissors to pull the glass out. Without glancing up, he knew it was Marinette's parents. "Mari! Oh my god, Tom!" Sabine screamed as tears streamed down her cheeks and she buried her face in his body, muffling her cries of, "Our baby! Our sweet Marinette!"

"This may hurt a bit, but I promise it'll feel better." Adrien whispered to Marinette, as he latched onto a rather large piece of glass.

Carefully, he maneuvered the glass out of the wound without causing any more damage. He heard Marinette groan in pain as he set the glass on some gauze, signaling she was waking up. Her eyes slowly cracked open as Adrien motioned for her parents.

Almost instantly, her parents were by her side, kneeling on the pavement. Adrien continued pulling glass out of the wound. "Mama? Papa?" She whimpered out as her mother held her hand.

"We're here baby, we're here." Sabine assured her daughter, squeezing her hand slightly.

"Where am - AHHHH!!!" She screamed fearfully as she saw the huge gash on her leg. Almost as if seeing the wound caused pain, Marinette squeezed her eyes shut and groaned.

"It's okay. I'm gonna help you." Adrien reassured her. He turned to a pair of paramedics and yelled, "We need a stretcher over here!"

After nodding, they quickly pulled a stretcher from the ambulance and rolled it over to Marinette. Adrien helped them lower it to get her on.

"A-Adrien?" The bluenette whispered when she got a better look at her savior. He bent down to talk to her. "W-Will this h-hurt?"

He lightly grabbed her free hand in his and said, "Not if you relax, okay? Just stay calm, I'm here to help so if at any point the pain worsens, tell me. But I'll make sure it's as painless as possible, trust me?"

She smiled weakly and through the dirt, Adrien saw her cheeks turn a bit pink as she whispered, "I trust you."

Adrien nodded and he gently held her upper body while two other paramedics held her legs and back. They slowly lifted her off the pavement, Marinette wincing quietly, lifting her head a bit. "It's okay, we're almost done." He told her, sending a glare to the man holding her legs as they carefully set her down. "There, the hardest part's done."

The ex-model was about to secure her to the stretcher when she asked, "I-is it bad?"

He bit his lip, trying to think of a way to tell her the severity without scaring her. "It is pretty bad. But the doctors back at the hospital have dealt with this before so they know what they're doing."

One of the other paramedics started strapping her snuggly to the stretcher as they talked. Marinette's eyes brimmed with tears as she asked, "Am I going to die?"

Adrien heard Sabine gasp from his left before being comforted by Tom. A few tears fell down Marinette's face, leaving a dirt free trail. He swallowed hard and he felt his own eyes sting but he lifted his hand and brushed her tears away, promising, "No. I won't ever let that happen. I will do everything in my power to make sure you return home safely."

Marinette leaned into the blondes hand for comfort. He felt his cheeks grow hot so he started bringing her over to the ambulance. With the help of his co-workers, Adrien lifted her into the ambulance. Tom and Sabine crawled in after them.

As he started hooking her up to machines, Adrien heard her whisper, "Thank you Adrien. You saved my life."

He smiled and responded with, "Just doing my job." Before shutting the back doors and holding Marinette's hand all the way to the hospital.
