Marinette's POV

"Are you ready girl?"

"Ready as I'll ever be"

A few days ago...

"Marinette you gotta go for it!" Alya exclaimed.

"I know, but...what if he rejects me?" I whispered softly.

She sighed, sitting down beside me on the couch. "I know it's scary Mari but, wouldn't it be better to know how he feels instead of wondering 24/7?"

"I can barely speak a sentence to him, so how would I exactly word how I feel?"

"That's why my dear, you will be singing."

"Wait... what?!?! No way Als!" I exclaimed.

"Come on Mari! You have such an amazing voice and it would be the perfect way to say how you feel once and for all without being a fumbling mess."

"Why do you always find a way to convince me to do things?" I chuckled.

"Cause, I'm just that good" She sassed back.

I shook my head in amusement, "So what's the plan?"

Today is the day that I finally tell Adrien how I feel or sing it at least. Alya and I planned everything down to the last detail. I would perform at the park with Luka and his band. The park would be decorated with fairy lights since the performance would take place in the evening. The whole class would be there so it would be less nerve-wracking.

Now the last thing to do is to pick out my "performance outfit." Which consisted of a long-sleeve black shirt and a pink overall dress with some black high-top vans. Also letting my hair down out of its usual pigtails.

I stepped up to the microphone on the makeshift stage, that the others helped set up earlier.

"Hi guys, um I am singing this song to someone who has a special meaning in my life. So, this goes out to them."

"You got this girly!" Alya exclaimed.

The others joined yelling words of encouragement. I turned my head slightly towards Luka, nodding slightly that I was ready to start. The band started playing as I brought the mic closer to my mouth and began singing.

I glanced slightly in Adrien's direction catching his eye for a spilt second before glancing back into the crowd continuing the song.

I slowly made my way down the stage as the crowd made a path so I could easily walk through it. Until I was standing directly in front of Adrien. He seemed shocked at first, but there was different emotion that I couldn't detect at this moment. I then brought the microphone back up to my mouth while staring directly into his eyes.

We held eye contact as I sang the last lyric of the song. We got trapped into our own little bubble not wanting to break the moment. Trying to read how the other may be feeling.

Adrien broke the silence, "I do love you Marinette."

Before I had time to react, he gently placed his hands on my cheeks. Bringing me into a soft, warm kiss.
