Marinette was staring at a picture of Adrien, wondering how to confess her love to him. 

"Oh Tikki, if only I didn't become a stuttering mess around him, maybe I could tell him I felt!" Marinette said and then slammed her head into a pillow.

"Don't worry, I'm sure the more time you spend with Adrien, the more you'll build up your courage and eventually you'll be able to confess!"

"Thanks, Tikk!" Marinette said.

Suddenly they heard screaming outside. Marinette looked out her window. Sure enough, there was an akumatized victim raging havoc throughout the city.

"Looks like we'll have to save this conversation for later. Tikki spots on!" Ladybug transformed and went out to go fight the akuma. Cat Noir was already there.

"Oh, M'lady! Glad you could make it! Things were just getting interesting!" Cat Noir said.

The akuma was a girl wearing a white cloak with the hood down so you could see her face, except there for the white mask. Her eyes were completely white as well. She wore all white except for her black gloves that went up to her upper arms. The most significant part of her outfit though was a black book that hung from her waist on a belt that was held closed by a click button.

She was firing a black beam from her hands and hit people, and each time she hit a person, they would collapse and the black book glowed.

The masked girl noticed Ladybug and faced her fully.

"Ah Ladybug, glad you can join us, now that your both here, I am the storyteller! I can give you two the happy ever after you desire after you give me your miraculous!"

The storyteller tried to hit Ladybug and Cat Noir but they kept dodging. The battle kept going on when the storyteller hit a hard blast at Cat Noir. Cat Noir stumbled and fell back.

"Cat Noir watch out!" Ladybug said. he swung over and pick up cat Noir before the blast could hit him, getting them both safely out of the way.

"Thanks, M'lady," He said.

Ladybug watched The storyteller.

"Every time she hits someone with a beam her book glows, I think that's where the akuma is," Ladybug said.

"So what's the plan?" Cat Noir asked

"I think we need a bit of luck," Ladybug said

"LUCKY CHARM," she yelled.

Her lucky charm gave her a paintball.

She looked around and came up with an idea.

"Cat Noir, I need you to distract her," Ladybug said.

"With pleasure," he said.

while he was distracting her, ladybug picked up a wishbone-shaped branch, and then took an elastic that was left on the ground. she put them together and created a mini slingshot.

"Cat Noir bring her over here!" Ladybug yelled.

Cat Noir complied. Cat Noir managed to throw the storyteller into the air. While in the air, Ladybug fired the slingshot and hit the button that held the book in place. The book fell out.

"CATACLYSM!" Cat Noir yelled and destroyed the book. A few seconds later the akuma came out.

"no more evil-doing for you little akuma, Time to de-evilize!" Ladybug said and purified the akuma.

"Bye-bye little butterfly," She said.

She found the paintball and threw it into the air.

"MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!" She yelled.

"Pound it," The duo said.

"Hey Ladybug, are you free tonight?" Cat Noir asked.

"Yeah, I'm free," Ladybug said

"Are you willing to meet up with me at the Eiffel Tower?"

"Yeah, sure," Ladybug said

"Great, see you later Bugaboo," Cat Noir said, and then left before he detransformed.

Normally, Ladybug got incredibly annoyed, but for some reason, that nickname made her smile today.

Later that night, she met up with Cat Noir, who was holding a red rose.

"Ladybug, I know we've been over this, but I love you, can't you give me a chance?" He asked.

Ladybug let out a sigh.

"I can't Cat Noir, I'm in love with another boy," She replied.

"Can't you tell me the name of the boy who stole your heart?" He asked.

she didn't know why, but something compelled her to tell him.

"It's Adrien Agreste," She said.

"Adrien?! Adrien Agreste?!" He asked shocked.

"Yeah, why do you seem so shocked?!" She asked

"Plagg claws in," he said.

"what are you..." She was cut off when she saw who was behind the mask.

"A- A-Adrien?" She asked, shocked.

"M'lady..." he said, walking up to Ladybug.

"M'lady I love you," he said, leaning in.

"I...I love you too," Ladybug said, closing the remaining space between them and kissed him.

This felt a little too good to be true, but she felt so happy in this moment, that she didn't care.

"Tikki spots off," Ladybug said. Adrien watched as ladybug's costume vanished.

"Marinette?" Adrien asked shocked.

"Surprise," Marinette said.

Adrien remained quiet for a moment. Marinette thought he may be disappointed that she was ladybug. Suddenly, Adrien let out a loud laugh.

"I can't believe it. The girl I love has been right in front of me all this time," he said

"Well, the boy I love has been fighting by my side all this time," She said.

"I guess we're even then," Adrien said and kissed her again. That night everything was perfect.

Several years after that came their wedding day.

"Alya, I can't believe I'm getting married today," Marinette said.

"You look, beautiful girl, Adrien is gonna get his socks knocked right off him," she said.

"Thanks, Alya,"

"okay deep breaths Marinette, the real thing is about to start," Alya said.

The music started.

Marinette took a deep breath and walked down the aisle. She made eye contact with Adrien, the man she loved. When she made it to the end of the aisle and the priest began the ceremony, she was already too lost in Adrien's eyes.

"Do you Adrien take Marinette to be your lawfully wedded wife?" The priest asked.

"I do," He said.

"And do you Marinette take Adrien to be your lawfully wedded husband?" He asked

"I do" She replied.

"then by the powers invested in me, I hereby pronounce you husband and wife. you may kiss the bride," he said.

Adrien didn't wait another moment to kiss his gorgeous wife. Marinette was so happy, this was everything she ever wanted.

Their wedding had been a year ago. Today she was pregnant with their first child.

"Hey I'm home," Adrien said,

"Hey, welcome back!" Marinette said and kissed him.

"How are my two girls?" Adrien asked. They had recently found out that Marinette was carrying a girl. They decided her name was going to be Emma.

"we're both doing well, how was work,"

"Work was fine, but I missed my beautiful wife," he said. The two of them owned a famous fashion company together, but Marinette was currently on Maternity leave. Marinette looked down at her stomach and smiled. It seemed like just yesterday they revealed their identities to each other.

The memories were so fresh in her mind though it was like they happened yesterday. Suddenly Marinette yawned. Adrien saw this and smiled.

"c'mon sleepyhead, let's get you to bed,"

Adrien put Marinette into bed and then climbed in on the other side. Marinette smiled and snuggled next to him. Everything was perfect.

"Ladybug!"

Marinette eyes snapped open. What was that? She looked around but saw nothing. She shrugged it off as her imagination and went back to sleep.

Over the next few weeks, Marinette kept hearing someone yell ladybug, but she could never see anyone.

One day she was eating breakfast with Adrien whens she heard it again.

"LADYBUG!" Marinette's eyes widened and she looked around, trying to find the source of the scream.

"Is something wrong?" Adrien asked her.

"It's... It's nothing important," Marinette said.

"You shouldn't stress too much, take it easy Marinette, everything's gonna be fine," Adrien said.

"I have to go to work, I'll see you tonight," He said and kissed her before leaving.

Marinette couldn't get that voice out of her head. Just who was calling her?

That night, just as she was about to fall asleep the voice called out to her again.

"Ladybug! Wake up!" Marinette woke up and looked around.nothing. What was happening? She tried to go back to bed but then suddenly she sat upright. She recognized that voice, she couldn't believe it didn't hit her until now. That was Cat Noir's voice, back when they were teenagers. Why would that voice be calling out to her?

The next day, after Adrien left for work again, Marinette sat deep in thought. Adrien's voice has since gotten much deeper over time. That voice made her think about that night they confessed their love for each other. But why was she hearing his voice? She thought back to that day. Of course, she remembered the confession, but was there anything else that day? They confessed, revealed, fell in love, fought an akuma.

Wait, that akuma. The storyteller, what did she say?

I can give you the happily ever after you desire

but that meant...

Just then Adrien came home.

'Hey Mari, I'm home," he said and kissed Marinette on her forehead. He noticed the sad look on her face.

"Hey what's wrong?" Adrien asked

"Adrien... I don't think... this is real, I don't think any of this... is real" she said, her eyes tearing up.

"What do you mean, of course, it's real," he said.

She looked into Adrien's eyes, and wanted with all her heart to be wrong, that this was real, but..."Ladybug, wake up," the voice rung through her head. "Adrien..." She said, tears running down her cheeks. "I love you, I will always love you, but..." She cut herself off, she couldn't finish.

"But...what?" Adrien asked.

"I need to wake up. Cat Noir needs me," Marinette walked up to Adrien and kissed him.

"Goodbye, Adrien," She said.

Suddenly the world starts to crack and open up, everything falling through the cracks.

"huh? what's happening?" she asked

Marinette tried to avoid the cracks but they were getting too big and she fell through.

"ADRIEEENNN!" She yelled out.

Ladybug opened her eyes. They were still in the middle of the battle with the storyteller.

"Ladybug, thank god you're awake. You got hit when you went to save me," Cat Noir said.

"yeah..." Ladybug said

"C'mon, let's finish this battle," Cat Noir said.

Ladybug nodded her head. She called upon her lucky charm. Sure enough, it was a paintball. The battle finished just as it had in her dream.

"pound it," they said. 

Ladybug was quiet. Had it really all been a dream? Years had gone by, she was married and pregnant!

Cat Noir noticed the look on ladybug's face.

"ladybug are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah I'm fine, I gotta get home, can't risk detransforming in public, bye cat noir!" She said.
Once she got home she detransformed and walked over to the photo of Adrien.

"Cat noir... is Adrien?" She asked out loud. She stared at the photo, then shook her head. There was no way Cat Noir and Adrien were the same people, it was just a fantasy her mind came up with so she could be with the boy she loved.

She put the photo down and went to bed. Her dream felt so real, she had spent years with Adrien, with Cat Noir yet none of it was real. She sighed, it's not like it could happen anyway. Adrien and cat Noir weren't the same person. It was a future that couldn't happen, no matter how much her heart desired it. 

So, I was brainstorming for my next chapter in A lost Kitty when this hit me. I'll probably update this book periodically, honestly, I have too many drafts for stories I can write. I have ten story drafts on my profile and 7 chapter drats on this book already! Okay, enough rambling, hope you enjoyed this one shot!
