Marinette tryouts once again for fencing and faces Kagami

"Wow Marinette you're looking fierce!" Tikka commented on Marinette's new fencing outfit while she wrapped some sport tape on her wrist. "Thanks Tikki but an outfit won't get me in the tryouts this time" Marinette said a bit unsure "Aw don't worry Marinette you'll do great" Tikki hugged her cheek as Marinette hugged her back.

Meanwhile, Adrien was sparring with Kagami but despite him gaining fast reflexes as Cat Noir, it was no match for Kagami's swift agility. Marinette arrive and stared at the two getting a little irritated "how many girls fall for Adrien? First Chloe, then Lila and now Kagami only Adrian's in love with this one" she said under breath as she walked to find a training partner but Marinette tripped over her foot straight to the last two people she would want to trip in front of...Kagami and Adrien.

The two blinked at the sudden appearance of Marinette, Adrien smiled while Kagami frowned "Adrien! See you nice-I mean nice to see you" "Nice to see you too Marinette, wow I love your new fencing outfit" Marinette had a pink qipao vest with her usual lotus designs and a red sash with a black jumpsuit underneath, pink flats, a white pink stripe fencing glove and sports tape on her wrists and ankles, her hair was in a bun.

"Thank you Adrien, I made it myself" "awesome it suits you hey wanna spar?" Adrien asked her much to Marinette's excitement "Sure I..." "after you face me Marinette" Kagami interrupted surprising the two as she got closer to her face to face "I would like see how good you are in fencing. Do your best" Kagami got in a starting pose as Marinette stared nervous "hey" Adrien touched her shoulder to get her attention "you'll do fine just take a deep breath and focus" Marinette blushed from his advice but nodded with a determine smile.

Marinette got in a starting pose too and took a deep breath like Adrien advised 'I face Kagami before when she was Riposte and I was Ladybug, I beat her once I can do it again" Kagami charged forward with her fencing sword. Marinette waited patiently and on instinct as if she was right now Ladybug, leaped up and landed behind Kagami. Both Kagami and Adrien were surprised, Marinette didn't smile or smirk because she knew underestimating the fierce Kagami would be a mistake.

Kagami leaped up and twirled with her sword, Marinette tried blocking it but the twirling sword knocked the defense away leaving her completely vulnerable but Marinette ducked before the sword touched her and knocked Kagami off her feet. Kagami back flipped on one hand before resuming.

D'Argencourt and the other students notice and gathered to watch, Kagami then striked multiple hits on Marinette just like when she was Riposte while Marinette tried blocking it, the shy Dupain-Cheng leaped away om to a wall and leaped off straight towards Kagami. The fierce fencer found herself pushed back at the center from Marinette's powerful sword strike.

Adrien was amazed and found it unexpected that Marientte had so much skill in fencing unlike when she sparred him. The fencers had their swords against eachother staring at eachother fiercely, Kagami looked down behind her and smiled sneaky at Marinette. The blue hair raised an eyebrow confused until Kagami snuck her sword underneath Marinette's and pulled it straight towards her. Kagami got down and lifted Marinette over her as she hit the ground.

Adrien winced at how hard the fall look, as Marinette tried standing up Kagami brought her sword and tapped Marinette on her shoulder smiling triumphant "I win" she said as she walked away victorious while Marinette looked sad and disappointed that she lost. She realized a hand was offered to her by Adrien "You ok Marientte?" He said with a little worry. She blushed as he pulled her up "Yeah I'm ok thanks"

The two of them notice D'Argencourt approach them his eyes on Marinette "you madame what is your name?" He asked getting face to face making Marientte more nervous "um Cheng Dupain I mean Marinette Dupain-Cheng" she stuttered quickly and tongue twisted. "Your defeat was unexpected Marinette..." she looked down thinking she lost the tryouts again.

"You have to admit though Mr. D'Argencourt, she was pretty amazing" Adrien said as he placed a hand on her shoulder making the blue hair freeze "That's true, your skills are very agile and quick plus you think fast. Congratulations Dupain-Cheng, you have made it in the tryouts" Marinette beamed so happy that she got in even though she lost.

"Thank you! Thank you Mr. D'Argencourt!" She said jumping up and down excited "I'm glad you made it into the tryouts Marinette, you were amazing" Adrien told her happy that she got in. Marinette blushed but she felt sad from her defeat "I still lost to Kagami" Adrien placed a hand on her shoulder "Kagami has beat me a few times too but hey maybe one day you'll win a match against her" he smiled at her as Marinette smiled too.
