Marinette and Magazines

Marinette flipped excitedly through the newly released Agreste magazine. Inside, she had no doubt her love Adrien would be modeling a few of the products. That would mean more clippings to paste on her wall!

Marinette smiled before turning the page. She glanced over the pages, looking for any sign of Adrien. Then she saw him.

Her heart fluttered as the product he was modeling was a pair of dark washed jeans, Vans, and a casual button up shirt.

"Definitely cutting this out!" she exclaimed happily.

Marinette rummaged through her bag, looking for a pair of scissors. "Come on, where are they..."

"Hey, Marinette. What are you reading?"

The voice caused her to have a mini panic attack. She jumped up in shock, turning her head. Adrien was crouched beside her, trying to look over her shoulder.

Marinette's hands frantically flew to the magazine and flipped it shut. "Nothing," she smiled nervously, her face a red mess.

"Is that my fathers' magazine?" Adrien asked curiously, a smile playing on his face.

"U-Uh, well, you see, I was just, you know, holding it for someone," Marinette lied, scratching the back of her head.

Adrien chuckled. "Alright," he said, standing up and obviously not buying the lie. "I gotta go. See you later!"

"See you," Marinette smiled embarrassingly.

She sighed, opening the magazine again and pulling out her scissors. She began to carefully cut out the page of Adrien.

"I knew it!" Adrien exclaimed with a smile.

Marinette shrieked, falling from her chair. She slammed on the ground with a thud and her scissors went clattering to the floor.

Adrien gasped, rushing to help her up. "Are you okay? I didn't mean to scare you!"

"Yes, I'm fine. It's just my pride that's a little damaged right now," Marinette sighed.

"It's okay if you have my fathers' magazines, you know," Adrien laughed softly.

"I know it's just-- I don't know," Marinette mumbled, staring at the floor. She was at a loss for words.

Adrien looked around before reaching for the scissors and magazine. He began snipping away. Marinette looked up in surprise. "What are you doing?" she asked quietly.

Adrien smiled, setting the magazine down. He held up the cut out clipping of himself and handed it to Marinette.

"T-Thanks," she said.

"No problem," Adrien replied. "It's the least I can do after I scared you, right?"

Marinette's cheeks flushed as she smiled. "I guess."

Adrien slung his bag across his shoulder. "See you. For real this time," he laughed.

"Bye," Marinette smiled.

Adrien walked away, leaving a shocked and ecstatic Marinette behind. He helped her cut out a picture of him? So she can shamefully post it on her wall? She was surprised and thankful.

Her heart fluttered as she watched him walk away.
