3 a.m.

Marinette opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling of her dark bedroom. She rolled on her side. For some reason, she just couldn't get to sleep. Something deep down was bothering her, but she couldn't figure out what it was.

Marinette sighed after another failed attempt at getting to sleep. She picked up her phone and turned it on, the bright screen temporarily blinding her. She scrolled through her contacts until she found Adrien's name.

They had been dating for a few months now. Of course, when he asked her out, she was ecstatic. Her dreams had came true. At first, it was awkward. Really awkward. But then Alya pushed the two closer and eventually it got better. Marinette got used to Adrien and stopped acting like a prattling fool.

She swiftly typed a message to Adrien on the digital keyboard. Whenever Marinette was uneasy, she'd text Adrien and he'd assure her that everything would be okay. It worked every time.

However, she wasn't expecting him to answer. It was 3 in the morning after all. He also had a busy schedule. But it was worth a shot.

She sent the message and then rested her head back down on her pillow. She sighed after a few minutes and closed her eyes. He wasn't going to answer.

Then, a soft knock was heard at Marinette's door. She lifted her head in confusion. "Mom?" she called out.

The door opened slowly and standing in its place was Adrien. He smiled, although it looked like he had just gotten up. Marinette gasped with surprise and got up from her bed. She ran over to him and hugged him tightly.

"What are you doing here?" she asked.

"You said you couldn't fall asleep and needed someone to talk to. So here I am," Adrien replied with a goofy grin.

Marinette chuckled before playfully punching him on the arm. "I meant on the phone, dummy."

"Oops?" Adrien said with a smile. He wrapped his arms around Marinette and then led the two of them to her bed. They sat down, crisscrossed on the bed. Marinette crawled on his lap and rested her head on his shoulder.

Adrien began tracing lightly with his finger on Marinette's arm. "How do you feel now?" he asked softly.

"Much better," Marinette responded. Her eyes started to flutter close. "You... can go now... if you want," she mumbled drowsily.

"Not until you fall asleep," Adrien said.

Marinette didn't answer then, and Adrien assumed she was asleep. He tried getting up, but it was no use. He didn't want to wake her up. Adrien sighed.

"Looks like I'm spending the night," he declared. His eyes then glanced down at the sleeping Marinette and he smiled. "But that isn't so bad."

He yawned and eventually his eyes began to flutter close. Then finally, he fell asleep as well. Snoring.

Marinette opened one of her eyes at the sound and sighed.
