Cliche #15
a)
Her heart is in her throat as she runs in the dreaded rain. Running to her home, her safe haven, her own little bubble that she can just cry in and not have to worry about the judgement of others.
"Milad---Marinette! Please! Stop running!"
Her pale rose-colored flats thump against the soaked pavement, hearing a certain pair of orange converse running just behind her. There was no way she could outrun her blonde crime-fighting partner outside of her red and black-spotted costume.
Closer, and closer his strides became to hers, until he firmly grabs her by the forearm, his gentle, olive eyes meeting her teary blues.
"Marinette, can we please talk?" His voice is soft, and the bluenette slows her pace until coming to a full stop.
"What do you want, Adrien?" She looks at him with fear and embarrassment, her mascara running down her pale cheeks.
"Why are you upset? Isn't this great? We just found out we've been in love with each other this whole time, without even knowing it!" She bites her lip.
"Adrien, this is not great! This...it isn't right!" He loosens his grip on her lithe arm.
"I don't understand... What are you saying?"
"You don't love me! You love Ladybug!"

AND SCENE!... BUT WAIT, HERE'S ANOTHER (unrelated to the previous) ONE!

"C-Chat...you..." Marinette's eyes widen as she sees her favorite kitty-superhero in his civilian form for the first time.
"Sorry you found out like this, milady." Never would have Marinette thought she would see Adrien Agreste on her bakery's rooftop, she can't help but crack a tiny smile at this whole situation.
"You... Oh... Uh... So...you know I...um... Uh oh..." The handsome, young blonde nervously laughs.
"The...uh...posters are nice?"
"So you know I've loved you for a while, huh?" Her bluebell eyes gaze at the the ground far beneath her.
"Love is a strong word." He awkwardly slides off the rooftop onto her balcony along with her.
"What do you mean by that?" She shyly glances at the adolescent model, only to see the most melancholy smile on his face.
"I was hoping that you, Ladybug, above everyone else, would be able to love someone for more than their appearance... I---I guess I was wrong..." His voice quivers, making it sound like how one normally sounds when attempting to hide their inner agony and pain.
"W-What are you s-saying, A-Adrien?" She nervously fumbles with her hands as he turns to her.
"It's sad how I've come to despise that name. I just want to be loved for who I truly am, not someone wearing a mask."
"But...I love you, Adrien...and I've never had those feelings for Chat Noir..."
He puts a gentle hand on her delicate shoulder.
"Chat Noir isn't my mask."

Yep! There we go! These are the two reveal scenes I see the most in Miraculous Fan-Fictions, and I thought both of them were great!...for the first four times. After seeing these reveals so often, I began finding these mistakes that makes them so OOC. Let's start with reveal 'a', shall we?
a)
Okay, this is definitely one of the most used Miraculous reveals.
It's true, Marinette doubted herself on whether she could be trusted to save the city of Paris on a regular basis, but later on she totally accepted Ladybug as being a part of herself, even calling herself Ladybug to Tikki as Marinette.
b)
Here we go, now this one really makes me pissed off, mostly because I can kind of relate to Adrien/Chat Noir in a way when in the show.
Adrien is shown as a good-boy rule-follower who is pressured to do well and is slightly introverted, as well as oblivious to certain social cues, being sheltered for most of his life. However, as shown in the Bubbler, he also can make careless decisions, even if there is no malicious intent.
Chat Noir is shown as someone who is self-assured and pretty extroverted, whose loyalties lie to Ladybug and all of Paris. Despite his confidence, Ladybug is always the one in charge. On his own, Chat Noir has a bad habit of making decisions that usually end up in more trouble for himself, as shown in Volpina and Copy Cat.
Chat Noir isn't Adrien's 'true self'. Chat Noir is a mask which gives Adrien the confidence and ability to do and say more.
In all honestly, Adrien and Chat are one, just like Marinette and Ladybug. They both accept those parts of themselves as still, well, themselves, Never have they once referred to their alter-egos as a separate persona (not counting when Adrien was dishing for complements on his superhero-self from Marinette in Evilustrator.).
Geez...this rant is literally over 750 words long...
