Chapter 35: Gnome Your Enemy, Waka Chaka Part 3

Seeing that they were all safe inside Toby's house, the group took the opportunity to catch their breath. That is until a human voice called out from beyond the kitchen they were in, startling them.

"Toby-pie! Is that you?" Toby's Nana echoed through the house, leading the group to halt their previous action.

"Don't mind us, Nana. We'll just be in my room." Toby yelled to his nana as he waves his friends to the stairs, with Jim leading the way to the boy's room. "Binge-watch another show and keep the cats inside." the rounded boy advised while he pulled out some food, probably leftovers, from the fridge.

Soon enough, the group was in Toby's room, while he sat on his bed and stared at nothing as his hands fed his mouth quickly. Following his example, Aaarrrgghh!!! found a pile of VHS tapes and happily popped one into his mouth.

"An-- Anyone else want a snack? I find stress eating calms me down." Toby mentioned as he held Jim's phone, a slightly pale Mairnette still on the screen, while Jim and Blinky passed the floor in front of them. Thankfully, the 6-eyed troll and Trollhunter stopped pacing, but didn't stop their worrying.

"I'm sorry to say, Master Jim, but your town is infested with goblins!" Blinky exclaimed as he turned to face Jim, and shook his Trollhunter by the shoulders.

"Okay, trolls I can deal with, because at least trolls stay underground." Jim admitted as Blinky stopped shaking him, allowing him to pull away. "But goblins? I don't even have the bandwidth to-" the Trollhunter continued.

"Jim, we gotta get my Chubby Tracker back. As long as they've got it, they're just gonna get stronger and faster." Toby interrupted with panic before Aaarrrgghh steals the bowl of food from Toby.

"Tobes, I know losing your tracker was not cool, but that's not the main concern right now! If Arcadia is infested with goblins, then you guys need to find the source." Marinette piped up from the phone, feeling slightly frustrated in not being able to help her brother.

"Tiny girl is right. Must find den." Aaarrrgghh!!! agreed before he popped the bowl into his mouth and chewed it and its contents in one bite.

"By the way sis, you... weren't in a public place during the whole... goblin chase scene, were you?" Jim asked, hoping that Marinette had the foresight to keep the whole chase under wraps.

"Obviously! As soon as I saw the lights going out, I moved to the boiler room to avoid anyone overhearing." Marinette assured, before moving her phone around to show where she was at the moment. "But back to the matter at hand, Aaarrrgghh!!! has a good point." the designer continued, bringing the conversation back to the more pressing matter at hand.

"Yes, and we must eradicate them at once before they seek their revenge!" Blinky said with a glint of seriousness running across his features.

"Revenge?" the three humans repeated in confusion.

"On you and Toby. I would count Lady Marinette, but... she's not even in Arcadia." Blinky pointed out before gesturing to Jim's phone.

'Lucky.' Jim thought to himself before Blinky's words fully sunk in.

"And they now know where Tobias lives." Blinky continued as Jim headed to Toby's bedside, and dropped down on the mattress.

"So, we find their den. You must have some idea, right?" Marinette asked, hoping to at least find some way to help her brothers.

"Haven't the foggiest. It could be anywhere." Blinky admitted before he heard a familiar sound that caught his full attention. After hearing the small chatter from the dollhouse, Blinky bent and looked into the window to find the gnome having a candlelit dinner with the and girl doll. "I see that your little gnome friend has settled into his new home. I must say, I certainly had my doubts that you could keep him contained." the six-eyed troll observed a little too loudly.

"Toby-pie? I don't recognize that voice. Who is that?" Toby's Nana called from the living room, exasperating Toby from her prying.

"It's a friend, Nana! I do have more than Jim and MariFariy!" Toby replied back.

"No, you don't." Toby's Nana replied from downstairs, leaving Toby to frown at her brutal honesty and Aaarrrgghh!!! to giggle a bit.

" 'MariFairy'?" Aaarrrgghh!!! questioned before he glanced at the phone in Toby's hand, causing Marinette to turn pink.

"It's a nickname that stuck from when I was a kid." Marinette admitted as she tucked a loose strand of hair behind her red-tipped ear.

"Yes, adorable. But all the same, while I'm glad that your idea has worked out... I still feel that this is a direct violation of rule number two." Blinky voiced as he turned to look back at the group, mainly Jim.

"And rule number one is to 'always be afraid'. But apparently, that isn't the case if you're around goblins, 'cause they smell fear. Your rules make less sense than algebra! Which-oh yeah- I have in a few hours unless I get eaten by goblins tonight!" Jim exclaimed as he got up from the mattress and slowly headed over to the dollhouse, the gnome watching through the top window as he hid with another chatter.

"Honestly, I'm starting to think that Hawkmoth would get along famously with goblins. They both prey on the feeling of fear, and don't show any mercy." Marinette remarked, causing Toby and Jim to chuckle a bit.

"Good one, sis." Jim praised, his mood lifting a bit before he looked back at Blinky. "I'm sorry. I'm no good at understanding your rules. I'm not ready for Draal, Bular, or finding a stupid den of goblins." the Trollhunter sighed out, hanging his head in hopelessness. That is until Blinky stepped up to Jim and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"As your trainer, I can only advise, not make your decisions. I understand. You're human. You're learning the rules in your own way." Blinky said as he led Jim to the bed so he could sit back down. "Aaarrrgghh and I will seek out this den, wherever it may be. You just focus on your studies. It seems life has thrown enough at you for one day." the six-eyed troll decided as he walked over to Aaarrrgghh!!!, leaving the humans to sag in relief.

"Take it from someone else who knows the struggle, Jim... Listen. To. Blinky!" Marinette exclaimed, leaving the rest of the group to laugh.

"What's so funny?" the designer questioned as Toby and Jim wiped away some stray tears of joy.

"Sorry... it's just because... you're just so cute! You are totally acting like a mini version of our moms!" Jim squealed, leaving Marinette's face to turn cherry as the others only laughed harder.

"I do not! I'm just trying to keep you two knuckleheads from getting yourselves killed when I'm not around." Marinette argued.

"Yeah... just like a mom!" Toby managed to say through his laughter, while the others managed to calm down from their own laughter.

"Ha, ha, very funny." Marinette deadpanned, right before the end of lunch bell rang through the boiler room. "Dang it, I didn't even get to eat lunch!" the designer groaned before she started packing her bag.

"I have to go back to class. Make sure they get home safely." Marientte requested as she finished packing, considering she never ended up eating her lunch.

"We will, don't worry sis." Jim promised, causing Mairnette to raise an eyebrow at him.

"I was actually talking to Blinky and Aaarrrgghh!!!." Marinette replied with a smirk, leaving Jim speechless.

"Okay, byee!" the girl in pink farewelled before she ended the call, letting the screen turn black. With a sigh, Jim grabbed his phone back from Toby and brushed his hair back from his face.

"From acting like our moms, to being my biggest taunter... I truly hope she never changes." Jim admitted with a fond smile, leaving Blinky slightly weirded out.

"You humans truly have some strange relationships." Blinky remarked, making the two boys smile nervously at the trolls.

"Yeah, we do." The two boys agreed, proudly admitting their strange bond with Marinette.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Time skip)

After the goblins cleared out, allowing the trolls and Jim to head back home, the boys had used their newly free night to catch up on much needed sleep. And they would need it for the hell that was 'gym class', considering they were currently in the middle of a dodgeball game against...

"Dodge this, Lake!" Steve shouted before he threw it at Jim, who rolled out of the way to easily dodge the ball and duck from another one. But as he did, Toby stood behind him, doing nothing but staring at the floor.

"Hey, come on! You gonna get your head in the game, Tobes, or do I have to do this all by myself?" Jim asked Toby as he kept dodging more red balls.

"Why bother taking another step? My Chubby Tracker's gone. Life's so empty when you're not racking up points." Toby whined before he dropped the ball he had in his hands, not moving as one bounced against his equally round stomach.

"Well, I thought you'd be more concerned about the goblins coming to kill us." Jim whispered to Toby as he kept avoiding any dodgeballs heading his way.

"Oh, yeah, you're right." Toby realized as he perked up in the fear that the Goblins were still out there. Jim then jumped in front of his best friend, and caught the ball hurtling for Toby before he chucked the ball back at the other side, his opponent easily avoiding it by catching it. Unfortunately, his opponent was Steve, who held the ball alongside one in his left hand and tossed the balls at Jim. Thankfully, Jim once again jumped and slid from each ball, before Steve took more balls from other players and continued to throw them. All of the students were in awe of Jim as he kept twisting and flipping around, the coach raising an eyebrow in shock as Jim continued to flip and jump from the balls. Steve could only groan in anger as his target, infuriated that Jim couldn't be hit, and threw more in his raging fit.

"At least your training's paying off." the geology nerd remarked as he slumped over. But just as he finished talking, a couple of balls collided with his stomach, followed by his jaw. "Man down!" Toby groaned before a final ball had taken Toby out, hitting his 'nards'. With a high pitched squeal, Toby went down to the floor as he held his sensitive area.

"My Gronk-nuks!" the rounded boy whined out before one last ball was thrown at his face.

"In your face! You're out, Domzalski!" Steve celebrated before he caught a flying ball and chucked it at Jim, causing the boy to duck to avoid it. Instead of the ball taking down Jim, it had hit the two balls that Eli was holding, sending him to the floor as the balls left his grip and sent his glasses to lay beside him. Seeing the two free balls, Jim dove for the two balls, grabbed them and flipping forward as he tossed them, sending the two death balls right at Steve's other teammates. Eli and Jim share a high five while the Trollhunter chuckles happily, only to be interrupted by a slow clapping Steve heading over to the two.

"Pretty good, Romeo, but kiss your Juliet goodbye." the blonde olf mocked Jim before he copied what he did at the museum and held himself again, kissing nothing but air.

"Leave Claire out of this." Jim threatened, not liking how Steve was goading him.

"Don't let him get to you-" Toby began to encourage before yet another ball struck him in the head, while the coach just watched from the sidelines."Ow! Seriously?" the rounded boy groaned as he got up from the ground.

"Pucker up, Steve, and kiss this!" Jim exclaimed as he picked up another ball and threw it at Steve. At that moment, everything began to play out in slow motion as Steve ducked from the ball, letting it continue to fly and find a new prey. Only for the gym door to open and reveal the ball's new target to be Claire, much to everyone's shock.

"No!" the Trollhunter yelled in a panic.

"Oh, snap!" Toby exclaimed as he and the coach watched with wide eyes. A second later, the ball finally made contact with Claire, ending the slow-motion feeling everyone had been under as she groaned in pain. At the sight of the impact, the coach blew his whistle to end the game as the students raced to help the fallen girl.

"Ooh, headshot! Shake it off, Nunez!" Coach Lawrance yelled while Steve and Toby surrounded Claire with shocked faces as Jim popped in, afraid to touch her as his mind was filled with guilt.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A little while later in the locker room, Toby popped up from his locker and looked over at Jim as his hand rested on the side of his face, sitting in embarrassment.

"So, she has a fat lip. People pay good money for that sort of look. She should thank you." Toby tried to assure his best friend. But it didn't seem to work.

"And just when I was making up ground. Why do I have to get so worked up over her?" Jim vented as he lifted his backpack and slammed his locker shut.

"Hey, we're red-blooded teenagers. We're powerless to that sort of thing. Except for me, though. I got it all figured out." Toby bragged as the two friends walked out of the locker aisle. But their conversation was interrupted by Toby's phone vibrating, stopping their walk. As soon as Toby pulled out his phone, the screen lighting up his face, he smiled.

"Whoa! I earned a windbreaker!" the geology nerd exclaimed as he showed it to Jim.

"Toby, do you know what this means?" Jim questioned as he gently pulled the phone from his friend's hands.

"Yeah. If it's not too warm and not too cold, I have the perfect cover-up!" Toby cheered as Jim kept looking at the phone in his hand.

"No. A goblin must have the Chubby Tracker on him! We know where they're going. This could lead us straight to their den." Jim explained as he pulled up a map of Arcadia with Toby's animated picture on it, showing where it was in the small town.

"And I'm getting a lot of points." Toby remarked, leaving Jim to roll his eyes at him fondly. Leave it to Toby to find a bright side in all this craziness.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Immediately after school ended, Jim and Toby raced off on their bikes to try and find the Goblin's Den. It took a while for the phone to pick up the Chubby Tracker's position due to the goblin in possession of the device moving around all over town. But after the sun had set, the two boys were finally closing in on the goblin's location.

"Shouldn't we be telling Blinky and Aaarrrgghh?" Toby asked as he and Jim rode their bikes down the dark street, following behind his best friend.

"By the time we get down to Trollmarket, the Chubby Tracker battery could be dead, and then we'll never find the goblin den." Jim explained as he led the way, keeping a hold of Toby's phone as well as his handlebar. "Besides, we're just gonna scope it out and then report back. Easy." the Trollhunter finished as he glanced back at Toby, trying to reassure the both of them that his plan would work out. Very soon, the two boys stopped in a small grass field, and dropped their bikes as they stared down the building that the Chubby Tracker had led them to... the museum.

"Hey, look! Look over there." Toby exclaimed as he nudged Jim to look at the circular roof of the museum, where many goblins were climbing into the small entryway of the decorated roof. "The museum. We should have known." the geology nerd sighed, his personal prejudices starting to show.

"Let's go tell the others." Jim decided, right before Toby saw someone appear in front of them.

"Get down!" Toby exclaimed before he pushed Jim behind a bush in its safe cover and quickly followed. After they were safely hidden, they popped their heads over the bushes to see Mrs. Nomura entering the museum.

"It's the museum lady." Jim noticed before the two boys dropped back down behind the large bush.

"She has no idea it's infested. At any moment, they could strike! Or worse lay eggs in her ears." Toby exclaimed, his imagination getting a little too wild as he covered his own ears at the thought.

"I don't think goblins do that." Jim assured, well used to Toby's wild thoughts before redirecting his focus back to the task at hand. "Anyway, we need to get her out of there immediately." the Trollhunter proclaimed.

"Good idea, but cover your ears." Toby agreed before the two Trollhunters head to the doors. But when they reached the doors, they found them to be locked.

"Come on, open up. Hello? Hello? Where'd she go? Why isn't she answering?" Jim wondered out loud as he tried to find Nomura in the dark museum.

"Cause she's already dead, Jim. Or she can't hear because she already has eggs in her ears!" Toby exclaimed before Jim gave up after many attempts of trying to open the doors, and ran to find a new way in.

"We gotta get in there." Jim said as he and Toby rounded the corner of the building.

"What? You have to speak louder." Toby yelled, still covering his ears as he followed Jim. Soon enough, Jim stopped at a window and pushed against the glass, making the clear plate squeal in protest as it opened. "This is breaking and entering." the geology nerd complained as he realized what they were doing.

"No, it's-it's breaking and rescuing." Jim argued before he pulled Toby's hands from his ears. "Relax. We're just gonna get her out of there, and then let Blinky and Aaarrrgghh handle the rest." the Trollhunter assured, right before his phone started buzzing. Immediately, Jim pulled it out and saw that it was already 9pm.

"Of course she would call right now." Jim muttered to himself as Toby realized who was calling.

"Oh, boy. She's not going to be happy that we're not waiting for Blinky and Aaarrrgghh!!!." Toby remarked, hoping that Jim would reconsider his choice.

"I still think we should rescue the museum lady. Let's just hope Mari won't chew us out for this." Jim replied before he answered his phone, allowing Marinette to show up on his screen. "Hey, sis. While it's always nice to see you, you could have called at a better time." the Trolhunter greeted, making Marinette raise her eyebrow at him in questioning.

"What have you two done now?" Marinette tiredly asked, hoping that they hadn't gotten into any trouble.

"Nothing! Well... nothing yet." Toby admitted, making Mairnette frown at the two boys.

"Whatever dangerous thing you guys have planned... you have exactly two minutes before I reach the boiler room to figure out how to explain yourselves." Marinette sighed out, placing a hand to her head to stop an oncoming headache.

"Thanks sis." the two boys thanked before focusing back onto what they were up to. After he put his phone into his pocket, Jim jumped onto the windowsill and slipped inside with Toby following behind. Once the rounded boy stood up when he was in front of the window, he found a struggle with the plan as he couldn't fit through the window, making him chuckle in embarrassment. Seeing Toby's predicament, Jim held out his hand to aid him in the situation. After pulling Toby from the tight fit, the two fell to the floor with a thud, quickly standing as Jim dusted himself up.

"Jeez, this place gives me the creeps with the lights out." Jim remarked as he pulled out his phone from his pocket.

"It was better when you could see the Neanderthals." Toby agreed as Marinette reappeared on Jim's phone.

"Okay, I'm in the boiler room. So, what have you two gotten yourselves into this time?" Marinette asked her brothers.

"Well, after gym, Toby's phone locked onto his Chubby Tracker. We have good reason to believe that a goblin got a hold of it and it ended up..." Jim trailed off, knowing that Marinette wouldn't like the answer.

"You two idiots completely ignored Blinky's orders and went hunting for the goblin nest?! What were you thinking?" Marinette exclaimed, honestly worried and baffled about their actions.

"Well, we were thinking that the battery would die if we didn't follow the lead, and we were right. We even found the nest in the museum." Toby replied as he and Jim started walking into the museum, right before drops of green drool hit the floor behind them without them noticing. Had they looked up, the teens would have seen the nest of sleeping Goblins that was above their heads the whole time.

"Okay, that's good. But why are you guys not heading to Trollmarket to tell them, then?" Marinette asked as Jim and Toby approached a set of doors to another museum wing.

"The curator is here. We need to get her out of here before we tell Blinky and Aaarrrgghh!!! about the nest." Jim explained as he and Toby Jim pushed open the doors in search of Nomura. With fear and the complete cringe of a dark museum, Toby groaned as he took a dislike to the situation.

"If that's the case, be quick about it. I don't like the idea of you guys being in the same place as those creeps." Marientte warned, hoping that they would listen to her.

"We'll try our best, promise." Toby proclaimed as the boys stopped at another door after crossing a large hallway, and heard classical music playing which made the whole thing way more frightening. Once they were close enough to the end of the hallway, they finally saw Nomura. Thinking on the fly, they hid behind a display mount, narrowly avoiding her sight.

"Okay, what do we say? If we scare her, the goblins might find us." Jim brought up, hoping that they could find some way to explain their precarious situation.

"How about we're art lovers and we just couldn't wait to see the new exhibits?" Toby supplied, which only made Marinette facepalm herself.

"That's the best you can come up with? Seriously?" Marinette questioned, inadvertently providing feedback for their excuse.

"We're from the gas company. The door was open and we smelled a leak." Jim started while Toby looked past the wall, only to find that the woman they were meant to save was holding a dark circular object in her hands, with spikes of green crystal on every outer inch of it. As Nomura hummed a tune, she disappeared from view while her shadow remained in sight to still reveal everything. Toby gasped as her shadow deformed into a creature as she finally stepped out from behind the wall, her rocky purple skin accompanied by large green eyes and sharp teeth.

In Toby's eyes, her new form had been less appealing than before as it caused him to yelp in shock. Unfortunately, it also alerted Nomura to their presence as she started to sniff the air around her, prompting Toby to let out a soft panicked wail. But Marinette noticed Toby's panicking, and pulled her attention from helping Jim plan their excuse.

"Tobes, what's going on? Why are you acting so scared?" Marinette asked as Toby pressed himself against the stone stand, Jim still thankfully in his thoughts. In response to her question, Toby plucked the phone from Jim's hand and showed Marinette the trollified Nomura. Much like Toby, Marientte was sent into a panic and found herself speechless.

"No, no, that won't work. We don't have uniforms for that." Jim concluded as Toby put the phone back in his hand, only for Marinette and Toby to begin stammering, which caught Jim's attention.

"Hey, what's with you two?" the Trollhunter questioned.

"The face..." Toby stammered out, worrying Jim at the possibility of being caught.

"Chill out, Tobes. You're gonna wake the goblins." Jim warned as he began massaging Toby's shoulder, hoping it would ease Toby's fear. Unfortunately for them, as the Goblin rested in the nest, one woke up to the fresh scent of fear. But they had no idea of the oncoming danger as Mairnette and Toby tried to warn Jim about the new development.

"Her fa- the face it's so ugly!" Toby stuttered, still trying to gather his thoughts.

"Okay, okay. So, she's not your type. You don't have to be rude about it." Jim replied, only for him to catch a moving figure in the corner of his eye. A second later, the figure turned out to be the awoken goblin as it rounded the corner, sniffing for the stench of fear. Confirming the smell is close, the Goblin stood up and spoke his native language as Jim raised an eyebrow at it. Seeing the threat, Jim rolled to safer cover from the Goblin as Toby crawled with him. But the worst part was that Toby was still letting out shaky whimpers, clearly very afraid.

"You're gonna draw them to us. At least Mari's in Paris. She can freak out as much as she wants in this scenario." Jim warned, only for Marinette to finally snap out of her shock.

"She's a troll, Jim! We saw her face! It wasn't natural! She's,-" Mairnette began, finally telling Jim what she and Toby had seen.

"...like one of us. Like a weird half-breed thing, man!" Toby finished, adding his own two cents into the warning.

"What are you talking about? Maybe it was just the lighting." Jim reasoned as he tried to calm his best friend and sister down.

"The lighting!?" Marinette and Toby exclaimed incredulously.

Meanwhile, the Goblin was still sniffing around the floor, and soon ended up cutting closer and closer to the humans. He sniffed the post as Jim and Toby were pressed against the wall, Toby covering his ears while Jim covered Toby's mouth, hiding his heavy breathing. Thankfully, the Goblin decided that there wasn't anything of interest, took a few deep breaths, and ran off in another direction. Suddenly, a vibration tickled Toby, causing him to pull his phone out to find out what it was buzzing. Once he did, he found out that he had won another award, but the trophy had been given at a bad hour as the noise had caught the goblin's attention... along with the attention of a third party.

"Turn it off, turn it off, turn it off!" Jim pleaded, hoping to still stay hidden.

"I'm trying, I'm trying! - But I won the cooler." Toby proclaimed, causing Jim and Mairnette to sigh at him with a 'Seriously' tone to it. But they were interrupted by the sound of cackling.

"I knew I detected the stink of teenage flesh." Nomura crooned as she appeared behind the teens, her head hanging over Jim's shoulder. At the sight of the troll, the three teens screamed out in fear as Toby and Jim ran into the forbidden area, tripping on the floor and causing Jim to lose his grip on his phone, sending it flying.

"But a human Trollhunter that I've never tasted." the green-eyed troll purred as she smoothly walked into the area, her claws reaching for the boy's flesh.

"Then let's see how you like the taste of Daylight." Jim quipped as he pulled out his amulet without a warning.

"That was a good one, Jimbo!" Toby complimented before Jim transformed into his armor. Once the familiar weight appeared on him, Jim stood up with courage flowing through his veins, while Nomura's eyes grew in shock as she watched. After he was armored up, Jim swung his sword at her. But Nomura's quick hands caught his sword between her palms, prompting her to let out an evil cackle.

"What are you?" Jim worriedly questioned when he saw her clearly superior skill.

"I'm what kills you." Nomura proclaimed before she managed to throw the Trollhunter to the floor behind her with an easy flick of her wrist. At the sight of his friend being thrown around, Toby gasped and ran screaming at the new enemy. Yet, the Changeling managed to stop him by a simple kick of her leg.

"Whoa!" Toby yelled as he was sent flying. Once Toby was out of the way, Jim lifted his head to find Nomura advancing on him. Standing up, Jim let out a battle cry as he began tossing the sword every which way to try and hit Nomura, who only easily avoided each blow. With a slice of her hand, Nomura slashed at his cheek, causing Jim's body to twist around at the amount of force behind the blow, and lifted his hand to his burning cheek.

Seeing Nomura getting closer, the Trollhunter let out a scream and tried to at least hit Nomura with his sword. Unfortunately for Jim, she mimicked what he had done during the dodgeball game and evaded the blows from the weapon being used. Over to where Toby was after the impact of the kick, his body was in between two sacks of crates before he stood with a cry of anger to head back to his friend.

"Jim! Tobes! Where are you guys?!" A voice came to Toby's left, causing him to turn and find Jim's phone laying face first on the ground next to him.

"Mari!" Toby yelled in realization as he reached for the phone, lifting it up to his face.

"That museum lady, what was she?!" Marinette questioned with wide eyes.

"I'm not sure! But I think that's something we need to discuss after I help Jim." Toby decided as he placed the phone against the corner of one of the stacks of crates, allowing Marinette a birds eye view of what was happening.

"Then what are you waiting for?! GO!" Marientte exclaimed, causing Toby to nod and turn back around to head back into the frey. But before he could, the Goblin that was searching for the teens earlier stopped him in his tracks, the tracker beeping as he laughed at the boy. The sight of his stolen tracker caused Toby's attention to immediately focus on the tracker instead of Jim.

"You... Give it back!" Toby growled at the leader goblin before he tackled the green creature to the ground. "Give it. These points are mine." the rounded boy demanded as the two rolled around the floor, fighting for dominance.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Over in Paris, Marinette was hiding out in the boiler room while she watched the fight. From the phone's current vantage point, the girl could only roll her eyes at Toby's current predicament.

"Seriously? Jim is fighting who knows what, and all Toby can focus on is his points?! UHG, it's times like these that I wish I could knock some sense into those two!" Marinette vented, causing Tikki to appear next to her occupying hand.

"You know boys, they can be a little peculiar about their priorities." Tikki reminded a worried Marinette.

"Do you know what that lady is? You have to have some idea." Marinette questioned, hoping to find out something from her kwami.

"I'm not entirely sure. I haven't seen much of the Trolls since I gifted Stone Arc their life giving crystal. But from what I heard you and Toby say, I would guess that she is a Changeling." Tikki grimly answered, leaving Marinette curious as well as wary.

"What's a Changeling?" Marinette asked, hoping to find out more.

"They are shape shifters. Able to switch from troll to human at will, it makes them the spies of Gunmar for both worlds." Tikki explained in a not-so-very happy tone. Considering her experience with Trolls, it was understandable.

"You mean to tell me that there are more of these Troll shape shifters out there?" Marinette inquired, her voice rising in pitch as her worry grew.

"Enough to create the Janus Order." Tikki revealed, sending Marinette's eyes to widen an abnormal amount.

"The Janus Order is run by Changelings?" Marinette exclaimed, causing Tikki to look to the side in what appeared to be... unwilling acceptance.

"The Janus Order are the changelings. And it looks like they are up to no good in Arcadia." Tikki remarked as she turned to look at the phone screen, only to notice how the angle Toby allowed the girl and kwami a unique perspective of the room. But it also allowed Tikki to see what the new exhibit really was, causing her to gasp.

"Tikki, what is it?" Marientte asked after hearing her kwami gasp the way she did.

"You once told me that Jim said the museum was working on a new exhibit, right?" Tikki asked, not taking her eyes off of the screen.

"Yes... why?" Marinette questioned, worried about her kwami's sudden behavior.

"Are they fighting in that new exhibit?" Tikki queried, still staring at the screen.

"Well from what I can see, yes. Is something wrong?" Marinette asked, causing Tikki to finally turn away from the screen.

"I might be wrong... but I think the new exhibit is the Killahead Bridge." Tikki revealed, making Marinette's eyes widen at her words.

"What? You mean the portal to the prison world the first Trollhunter sent Gunmar to? That Killahead bridge?" Marinette interrogated, her voice growing higher in pitch as her fear started to rise at the thought of the threat the bridge posed.

"The very same." Tikki confirmed, cementing the girl's fears.

"Are you absolutely sure? Marinette asked, a little part of her still hoping that Tikki was unsure.

"Considering I was there with Maal when Deya imprisoned Gunmar that day, I would say I'm absolutely sure." Tikki replied, dashing any hope Marinette had that her kwami was doubtful of her conclusion.

"This is huge! We need to get evidence so Jim and Toby can tell Blinky and Aaarrrgghh!!! about this." Marinette decided as she pulled up her camera app alongside her video call app.

"Good idea. If I know Trolls, they'll need irrefutable evidence about this in order to do something about it." Tikki agreed, knowing how trolls could be after her time among them.

"Then let's get some." Marinette announced before she started taking screenshots of Killahead Bridge, allowed by the video call. She had around 4 clear pictures of Killahead Bridge when Jim and Nomura came back into view on Jim's phone. "Jim! Are you okay?!" the designer questioned as she witnessed Jim standing in front of the phone while holding Nomura's claws back with his sword.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Back in Arcadia)

"Never better." Jim strained to answer before he pushed Nomura away from him. Unbeknownst to them, Marinette had used the opportunity to take a picture of Nomura as well, knowing that it would be a nice extra touch to push the trolls in the right direction.

Meanwhile, Jim swung his blade as blue smoke poured from the weapon, making the fight all the more epic, only for Nomura to easily evade it. She then knocked Jim off his feet with a sweep kick, but that didn't stop the Trollhunter from getting back up and slashing at Nomura with his sword again. Nomura jumped out of the way with a laugh, thinking that he had missed and that he had been receiving more blows than giving. But she was surprised to find her finger burned from a deep cut that Jim managed to land on her finger.

"Ah! You'll die for that." Nomura threatened before she pulled out two orange scimitar blades, doing a few air slashes as she did so. With anger at being slightly wounded by the boy, Nomura relentlessly attacked Jim, pushing him towards a corner while the colors of their swords blended in the flurry of slashes as sparks and blue smoke flew around them. Now having the upper hand, Nomura shoved Jim across the room, his body tumbling until his back finally hit a wall. Jim stood back up and got his bearing back as he watched Nomura flip off a crate and land onto a little ledge on the decorative roof above the exhibit.

"Yah! Hi-yah!" Nomura yelled after she landed on her perch, only to jump back down towards the Trollhunter, a second after. As she flew through the air, her body twisted around, the swords creating a tornado of metal that pushed the Trollhunter back towards the wall again. She fiercely dealt blow after blow onto Jim, not even thinking about her tactics as he blocked each one with his sword.

But she was stopped by a hard yank to her long black hair, causing Normua to look down to the ground to find Toby was the one who yanked at her hair. Fortunately for Nomura, the leader of the Goblins had tried to pull him off, distracting Toby long enough for her to use her hair like a whip, and swing Toby into a pillar, putting her main attention back on Jim. But Toby now had his own problem to deal with

"Waka Chaka! Da!" the goblin leader proclaimed. In response, Toby found the closest object to him, a Viking helmet, and without thinking nor the correct aim, he threw it at the Goblin. The little creature barely dodged the helmet, only for Toby to find another object and quickly throw it at the goblin, knocking it down before they began rolling once again, ending up in another room.

Back with Jim, the poor boy was trying his hardest to make sure he didn't get killed as Nomura pressed her swords tighter against his own. Chuckling at Jim's misfortune, Nomura was surprised to find Jim managing to escape from her hold on him by diving to the side, letting her fall to the floor as he escaped. To Jim's dismay, Nomura recovered quickly and closed the newly formed distance between them. Jim attempted to make one more swing with his sword, but Nomura once again evaded his attack and kicked him across the room, causing Jim's body to slam into another wall, limply falling to the floor alongside a large banner that got knocked loose. At the sight of the fallen Trollhunter, Nomura laughed once more, ready to attack Jim as he lifted the fabric away from his face, still keeping himself hidden from the relentless Changeling.

Over with Toby and the goblin, they finally rolled back into the room with Jim and Nomura. Having enough with the little pest, Toby kicked off the ugly creature with ease and managed to grab his Chubby Tracker back while the goblin landed behind Nomura.

"Hey, look at that." Toby remarked as he wrapped the band on his wrist.

"This was fun. Now, you're history." Nomura growled as she pulled the cloth off of Jim, who held his sword up as a shield while the Goblin watched the interaction behind her. As she walked closer to Jim, she kicked his sword from his hands, causing Toby to watch with fear far behind her.

"All that fancy armor and you're just a scared little boy." the Changeling taunted as she redied her swords, about to take the kill. But Jim spotted the Goblin King between her legs, and immediately remembered Blinky's words.

'Fear heightens your senses. Fear keeps you alive...' Blinky's words echoed in Jim's mind as he crouched to the ground, and grabbed the edge of the fallen banner.

"Arrogance gets you killed!" Jim said out loud, finishing off the advice Blinky had given him before he pulled the large banner from underneath Nomura's feet and tripped her. As if in slow motion, Nomura had no control over herself as she flipped through the air, allowing her eyes to land on the goblin standing beneath her, frozen in fear and shock.

"No!" Nomura yelled, now knowing what the Trollhunter had set her up to do and what he meant by his words. As the goblin screamed in fear, Nomura landed on the goblin, turning it into slime. As Nomura recovered from her fall, her purple body was now marked with the puddle of slime, displaying that she had murdered the leader as the marker the leader was holding rolled away. The marker then ended up in front of another goblin of a group of three that had woken up from their sleep due to the fighting. At the sight in front of them, his eyes wide in realization, before he gathered himself up and glared at Nomura.

"No, no!" Nomura exclaimed as she scrambled to her feet, while the Goblin simply drew the mustache lines of the 'leader role' and raised his fist.

"Waka Chaka! Waka Chaka!" the new goblin leader chanted, causing the other two to join in as well, before they began to advance onto Nomura.

"No, it wasn't me! No! No!" Nomura begged as she was cornered against the crates, all of the goblins finally present as they continue to raid her. Seeing this as their chance to escape, Jim quickly ran to where Toby had placed his phone.

"Jim, are you okay?" Marinette asked in greeting as Jim grabbed his phone, his armor disappearing as well.

"I'm fine. Where's Tobes?" Jim questioned, hoping that she would know.

"Over by the exit." Marinette replied, making Jim look to see that she was right and find Toby standing stone still near the exit of the exhibit. In no time at all, he ran over to Toby.

"Let's get out of here!" Jim exclaimed before Toby took a photo of the exhibit in shock, only to come back down to Earth when Jim pulled him from the mess. As they left the room, Toby screamed as the goblins tried their best to tackle Nomura down. The two boys immediately left the museum, Toby still screaming, and ran to the bikes. After quickly picking them up and slipping on their helmets, they left the area and headed back home.

"Holy, What the? Her face! Did you?" Toby questioned as they raced down the streets.

"Tikki said she was a Changeling! She also said that they are basically shapeshifter spies." Marinette replied from Jim's phone, remembering what Tikki had told her.

"And that bridge! There were troll markings on it." Jim pointed out breathlessly as they reached the edge of town. Once they were far enough away from the museum, the two boys skidded to a stop in the middle of the street. This caused Toby to fall off his bike, face-planting on the cement as he had no breath nor energy to hold him upwards.

"Bridge? Who cares? There's a shapeshifting troll witch!" Toby exclaimed, not seeing what significance the bridge they saw truly held.

"I wouldn't dismiss the bridge just yet, Tobes. But you do have a good point. A Changeling in Arcadia is a very bad thing." Marinette voiced.

"They're walking among us, guys! They can be anyone!" Jim exclaimed, his fear rising by the second at the thought alone.

"This is a total game-changer!" Toby realized as the sound of sirens started to draw close to them.

"We need to tell Blinky and Aaarrrgghh!!!." Jim yelled. But before they could even head in the direction of Trollmarket, red and blue light suddenly lit up Jim and Toby's faces, the wails of sirens greeting their ears as fear continued to bubble up inside them.

"Hands up!" A policeman commanded, causing the two boys to drop their bikes as they quickly threw their hands up.

"What's happening?" Jim asked, yet the officer didn't answer.

"On the ground, now!" The officer ordered, causing the boys to follow said order to avoid any more trouble.

"What did we do?" Toby questioned as he looked at the officer.

"Dispatch, we have the teens that match the description of the museum break-in." the officer reported into his radio, causing Jim to glance at the phone in his hand.

"Looks like we're in trouble, sis. We'll call you later." Jim told Marinette, causing her eyes to widen in shock.

"Jim, wait-'' Marinette began, only to be cut off by Jim when he hung up the call. No sooner than he did, two police officers approached them.

"You two are coming with us." the second officer proclaimed as Jim put his phone back in his pocket. At that moment... Jim and Toby knew they were in deep trouble.
