Mew's POV

I was sitting by the ocean field watching the night sky when my wolves suddenly stood up confusing me, they were looking up focusing on one direction so I also looked up and I faintly could hear the sound of the plane, I jumped up making sure of what I just heard since it's 4 days earlier than what Jay said, when I made sure it was the plane that was getting closer, I dashed out of the forest and run to the plane island

By the time I arrived, I found that it had already landed and Jay came out dragging a few things out with him along with Liam, I was truly happy to see Jay all fine but I was searching for Gulf, my wolves suddenly dashed getting into the plane surprising everyone

"I'm back brother" Jay said

"I'm glad to see you safe and healthy Jay, you must be tired, just leave everything hear and go rest, you too Liam, thank you for your hard work"

"it's my job" Liam smiled

"btw Mew, the guest of honor is sleeping inside" I got so excited

"he... accepted?"

"yes, he did, your special friend is back and will be living here, well we are heading back, you wake him up and take him, he really worked hard for the past 5 days"

"I will, thank you both of you" after seeing Jay and Liam walking away, I rushed inside to find Fang and Finn, sitting next to the sleeping Gulf, he did look tired, seeing him in front of me made me so contented, I can't wait to hug him and welcome him to my island

"Gulf... wake up, you arrived" I softly said not wanting to scare him while gently shaking him a little, he groaned a little slowly waking up and yawning

"oh, king Mew... finally, I'm back" he smiled

"welcome back Gulf, thank you for accepting my offer"

"thank you for hiring me, I really love it here and I want to enjoy the rest of my life on this beautiful island" he said with a sleepy voice patting on the wolves who looked so happy

"you look tired and sleepy, come on, I prepared a room for you"

"thank you" he slowly walked yawning several times, some of the town people who saw him came closer greeting him and Gulf was polite greeting them back although he looked like he could fall asleep any second and that's what happened the moment he reached his room, he just feel on his bed and fell asleep almost immediately, seeing him like this made me giggle a lot, I'm truly glad to see him again and healthy.

The next day, after unpacking everything and officially meeting the medical team, we went to our secret field and sat there enjoying the view, I have a lot of questions and I don't know how to begin

"thanks to your island I finished my studies and graduated as the top student, even the project was praised and I got famous thanks to this land" he suddenly started talking, he glanced to find me a little surprised

"you surely wants to know what happened after I got back right?"

"yes, tell me, everything" Gulf smiled and started telling me about him being recognized and starting job immediately at his university, about his family who accepted him a little, he shared with me even his feelings about his previous job while I kept listening and asking him a few times

Being able to sit like this and talk and share our feelings and stories is making me extremely happy, I can't help but wanting to stay this close to Gulf, I feel at ease with him as if I'm with Leo or Jay, is it because he saved my life? Or maybe because he kept being honest and told me everything? I stared at him while he was playing with my wolves

"oh, your hair grew longer" he looked to me touching his hair (A/N like in the picture above)

"yeah, I didn't cut it since I returned, I got so busy and didn't have time to do it, is it weird?" he asked

"not at all, it fits you so well" I reached touching his hair, he flinched for a moment but stayed still

"wow, it's so soft and really silky" I said amazed by how also his hair was smooth

"it's thanks to the shampoo I'm using besides, I usually spent more time outside so the sun rays helped more with providing vitamins to my hair and skin"

"let me borrow your shampoo and try it"

"of course" just when I was about to pull my hand I noticed that Gulf was blushing a little, I guess he gets embarrassed when some touch him, I smiled watching this new shy side that I just witnessed.

A week passed and Gulf has completely settled in, he was really working hard helping with the research and helping people around, when he get time he would sit in the garden and read some books that looked so hard, he also started getting along well with Leo which made me relieved, today is a day off so we went to our usual place, I noticed Gulf reading a weird book that looked smaller than the usual ones

"Gulf? What's that book?"

"this one is called manga, it a story book using pictures" he showed me the manga and I found it so interesting and luckily it was in English

"what's the story talking about?"

"it's a horror romance story, this is the 3rd book, if you want I will lend you the first two to start with them"

"sure, I'm surprised you like reading romance books" he smiled

"to be honest, I don't usually read them but when the main story is interesting I can't help but buy it" he explained

"well it's not like it's wrong to read them, every person has a romantic side to him"

"yeah, but some people prefer to hide it or some don't realize that they have that side to begin with" I nodded in agreement, my brother is like that, even though he has a fiancée, I never saw him acting lovingly with her, although she told me that Leo is actually sweet and gentle with her

Since I discovered the manga, I would accompany Gulf reading them when we are by the field, he brought many with him, I was amazed by how the drawing and the story helped me to actually imagine it, after I finished the last one, I reached into the back to take another one, after reading almost 20 pages, I noticed smth weird in it, when I flipped the next page I was shocked staring at it

"king Mew, what's wrong?" Gulf who noticed how stunned I was asked

"euh... umm... is, is this normal in your city?" I asked showing him, he quickly took it away looking shocked just like me

"I'm sorry, I didn't know that I brought BL manga with me, I only read the plot without looking at the genre section" he glanced to it then back to me

"BL manga?" he looked hesitant for a moment

"Boys Love manga... this is so embarrassing"

"so like romance between two boys? That's impossible!" he smiled

"I knew it, your island is so pure and only have one belief about this, relationship can only be between a man and woman here right?"

"of course"

"not in the rest of the world, there is actually same gender couples, two boys or two girls"

"isn't that impossible?"

"why? Wherever and whenever Love exist everything become possible"

"I see, I understand but it still feel weird, if they get married how will they get children"

"some couple adopt children from the orphanage and some prefer to spend the rest of their life together"

"orphanage?"

"it's a house for those children under the age of 18 who lost their parents and have no one to take care of them, some people who wants to do an act of charity, they offer money or gifts to the kids there, some would adopt a child or two, there is even a normal couple who couldn't give birth so they would also adopt a kid and raise him"

"wow, it's a great place for the lonely children, even if they are not adopted, they at least won't grow up alone"

"that's right" I took the BL manga from Gulf who looked taken aback

"the world is more open than I thought, let me read this, I also wants to be more open so if one day I get to visit your country I won't be shocked"

"well I don't mind but it's better if you don't read that, I will tell you everything instead"

"why? Do you think I can't handle it"

"yes, well this one is hardcore so..." Gulf said bashfully looking down

"so what? What does it mean hardcore?"

"this so awkward... this manga does not only have kiss scenes only, there is also some making out scene... like, they are sleeping together" noticed that I was confused he gave up and explained that what usually happen between a normal couple when they sleep together can also happen between two men, he called it sex and honestly I also felt embarrassed at this point

"do you know how they do it?"

"yes, I do, I'm afraid it will traumatize you so it's better if you don't read it" I looked to the manga thinking for a while, I'm a little nervous about discovering this new side of the  world and getting more open but I want to know it, I want to know Gulf's world

"I will read it, I may get shocked a little but I will be fine, I'm a man too and I'm almost 30 years so it's fine, ah but, just in case, please stay with me" Gulf's face went for deep pink to bright red, he stared at me in surprise

"a-are you sure? I don't want to disturb the belief and the purity of your island"

"it's fine, even those special couple actually love each other so there is nothing wrong done here" I said determined to read this and discover this part of the world

"alright, well if you have any questions you can ask me and please don't force yourself to finish it if you find it so shocking"

"I will thanks" seeing Gulf so embarrassed was actually funny, he is really a shy person, it's rare to find shy people on our island so seeing one is actually both amusing and fascinating, I continued reading the BL manga preparing myself to the making out scene yet at some point I got so focused on the story that I even forgot about the BL thing so when I reached that part I got startled and I almost jumped

It started by the two men kissing, I was still feeling a little weird about it but I slowly accepted it, I noticed that their kissing was getting strong? Deep? I don't know how to explain it but they felt closer than before and then slowly it started, I was getting more and more nervous about continuing it, yet the urge to know more about this was pushing me to flip the pages

"king Mew, are you alright?" Gulf looked a bit worried and sorry

"yes, don't worry, like I said I'm also a man, I can do it"

"please take it slow, you don't have to read it all today"

"no, I want to finish it" I kept reading and watching the two men taking off their clothes while kissing here and there and doing a few other things

"oh, what does this word mean?" I showed to Gulf who was still blushing he then blinked looking to me

"euh... you really don't know what it means?"

"no, never heard of it" Gulf looked to me in disbelieve

"masturbating... you never did it"

"do what?" I looked confused

"I thought it's a natural instinct for men to do it but I think I was wrong or maybe this island is so innocent to even think about it, or maybe it's just king Mew who is the only innocent one and never cared about those things" Gulf mumbled to himself

"hey Gulf explain it to me" he sighed looking to me, he took the manga and showed me some scenes

"that word means the act of doing this by yourself"

"oh, I see" I stared at the scenes again feeling a bit awkward

"so everyone in the city do this?"

"not all but most of the them, there are still some innocent men just like you"

"what about you Gulf?" I got suddenly really curious about knowing this, Gulf flinched and looked away with his deep red face

"do I have to answer?"

"yes, tell me"

"I'm not exactly innocent so... yes" he said the last part with barely audible voice, he is really so honest with me, I kept reading and would ask Gulf about a few things, let's say that his face kept being red until I finished the manga

"thanks for explaining" I said returning the book to the bag

"no problem... I didn't know explaining this can be so mentally exhausting"

"it's because you get so embarrassed, you are a man be stronger"

"I can't sorry, you have my complete respect king, you even managed to read it to the end without a problem, I didn't know you were this resolved"

"I am, more than you think, well prepare yourself because I will keep asking more and more about the world"

"I changed my mind, I'm returning to my country" he quickly stood up still flustered, I jumped holding him by his shoulders from the back

"it's too late Gulf, you introduced me to this, you must take responsibility" the professor looked both pale and bashful which made me giggle a lot, honestly I was prepared to be more shocked and even feel disgusted but when I thought that they are in love and expressing it by connecting their bodies, it made me accept it, I even got a little curious about how it is actually done in real life.

How does it feel to love a man? Can kissing a man feel good? When two men are truly in love, can they really do all that?

The most important question, why am I completely fine with this? I kept asking myself looking to Gulf who was sneaking away with his bag with now pink cheeks

"I will never let you leave Gulf! Come back!" I said catching up to him, I'm so glad that he came back and tough me this new side of the world, it seem I still have to learn more
