Sakthi and Aadhi joined their parents and siblings who were all set to leave. Their ancestral family temple was about 40 minutes away and it was their tradition to perform a small ceremony with the bride and groom before engagement.

Though only Nithya and Sathya were getting formally engaged, they decided to perform the ceremony for Aadhi and Sakthi as well. Everything was ready by the time they reached and finished the ritual as planned.

As the engagement is not until the following evening, Aadhi decided to sneak Sakthi away for the day to Ooty. He wanted to surprise her with proper date night. When Sakthi was busy with Nithya, he pulled both sets of parents aside to discuss his plan.

Aadhi: I want to take Sakthi to our lake house in Ooty.

Devi Ma: Nalaiku engagement iruke

Aadhi: Nalaiku evening dane. Morning thirumba vanduruvom.

Ganesh Pa: Pooja mudichtu pongalen

Aadhi: Enaku shoot iruku poojai ku apram. Na avala engayume kootitu pola appa idu vara. I really want to take her.

Chitra Ma: Neenga poitu vanga da. Aana careful ah irunga.

Aadhi: Super Ma. Sakthi ku surprise. Yaarum avalta eduvum solladeenga.

Once he got the parents to agree, he let Sathya and Nithya know as well. He briefed his plan to them and asked Nithya to coordinate with their lake house staff to prepare for a candle light dinner by the private pier.

He made sure to add more security around their house to compensate for his absence. He also called the maids to load the car with the luggage he had already packed on their way back from the temple.

When they reached back home from the temple, Aadhi made up an excuse that he had to get pick up something for the engagement in the evening and asked Sakthi to accompany him. She did know that this was going to be grand affair as their entire family will be attending it and agreed to go with him as it needed more preparations than a usual engagement.

Aadhi started driving towards Ooty and Sakthi dozed off after a while which is exactly what he wanted. He did not want her to find out where they were going until they reached so that he could see her full excitement. In a couple of hours, it was late evening and they arrived at their destination.

She was still sleeping so he carried her inside the home and laid her gently on the bed. She snuggled into his chest as it was cold and held on tight to his collar. He settled next to her and dozed off.

Sakthi woke up after a while and was clueless as to where she was. She saw Aadhi sleeping peacefully and woke him up.

Sakthi: Aadhi enga irukom?

Aadhi: Ooty

Sakthi: Enna olarra?

Aadhi: Nijama dan ma solren.

Her face brightened up like a morning sunshine as soon she heard that.

Sakthi: Epdi idulam plan panna?

Aadhi: Unna date night kootitu poren nu sonen la. Adan. Epdi iruku?

Sakthi: Rombha Rombha azhaga iruku.

She hugged him tight and placed her head on his chest listening to his heartbeat.

Aadhi: Open it.

He pointed to a big gift box that was wrapped up to perfection.

She jumped out of bed and quickly opened up the box.

There was a custom made burgundy dress, a dainty diamond neck piece with earrings and a sleek heel with a hand written card that read,"Will you go on a date with me?"

Can this guy get any cheesier she thought to herself and a shy smile filled her face.

Aadhi got out of bed to hug her from the back as she held the card on her hand and whispered,"Will you?" and she nodded a yes before he placed a peck on her dimple.

Aadhi got dressed in black shirt and grey trousers. It's been a while since she had been nervous around him but today just looking at him made her knees weak. She tried to avoid eye contact and walked towards him in the dress he had gifted. It was stitched to perfection and her curls were just at the right length, slightly below her shoulders.

Aadhi could feel her presence even before she got closer by the smell of her fragrance. He turned around and stood frozen. The off-shoulder dress gave him perfect view of her collar bone and smooth neck. He forced himself to not look below that. They were both in a state of trance with their hearts racing faster than ever and their bodies burned with desire.

Sakthi mustered up the courage to break the silence.

Sakthi: "Aadhi.. Can you help me wear this?"

She handed over the neck piece to Aadhi. He gulped and moved her hair to one side. The dress had a deep v back neck and was not helping the situation. His hot breath on her back was making her dizzy. He quickly clasped the neck piece and moved aside to ask,"Shall we?".

He took her hands and walked to the private pier which looked dreamy with lights and flowers. ARR songs filled the air with bliss, a beautiful full moon shining bright and sound of water added to the magic.

As they got closer to the lake, it got extremely chilly and she hugged him tight in need of his warmth. Space heaters near the table were a life saver.

Aadhi helped Sakthi with her chair before he settled into his. The spread was just everything she loved. There was absolute silence during the dinner and it was mostly their eyes that did all of the talking. From stealing glances to meeting each other eyes a lot happened between the two souls that were completely immersed in the other.

An hour later, they finished dinner and Sakthi was grinning wide after a beautiful date night with her man. As she tried to move out of her seat, Aadhi came over in a heartbeat to help her. She held on to his shoulders and his hands gripped against her waist. As she clung on to him, she whispered,"Let's get married".

He was not sure if he truly heard her saying that or if he was just dreaming.

"Sakthi... Did you...." He stammered to finish when she mumbled,"I want to be your wife."

Aadhi felt like he was flying if that was even possible. Yes, he had imagined what it would be like to be truly married to the love of his life and have a family of his own. But, he did not want his wish to pressurize her in any way and it happened at the most unexpected time. He wanted to surprise her with a date but her surprise was much better.

"I can't wait to be your husband" he said before kissing her icy lips to share all the emotions he was feeling.

After a while, they were back in their room. Aadhi had carried her all the way to the room as she was exhausted after their passionate kiss which had left her gasping for breath. She stood in front of the mirror looking at her swollen lips and a blush covered her face. Aadhi was someone who could be gentle and rough at the same time. She remembered his bites on her lips that made her moan with pleasure.

Aadhi saw her blushing as he walked in after changing to night clothes. It took all the self-control he had to keep his hands to himself. He knew that he would not be able to stop if he started and was not sure if Sakthi was ready for it.

Sakthi on the other was trying hard not to look at him but could not take her eyes off. She ran into the bathroom to change but that did not help either. The zipper was stuck and she needed help. She peeped out of the door and gestured him to come closer.

Sakthi: The zipper is stuck. Can you help?

Aadhi MV: Kadavule enna sodhana da idu.

He gulped and tried to unzip without looking at her. After a few minutes, he finally made it work.

Sakthi: Why are you not looking at me?

Aadhi: Sakthi please. I am having a hard time controlling myself.

Sakthi: Enakum. Ededo pannudu.

Aadhi: Should I take you back home?

Sakthi: Illa... I want to be here.

Aadhi: I will be in my limits.

Sakthi: I love you.

Aadhi: Love you more.

They hit the bed soon after and dozed off in each other's embrace.
