Hayley's POV

I never thought I'd be standing outside this door again. It had been eight long years. I rang the doorbell and gripped Sarah's small hand tighter.

The door opened and there stood Josh Farro. He seemed like he didn't age much, but then again he wasn't that much older than me. Just a year.

He smirked at my presence. "I knew it'd happen one day, Hayley" he said, smiling triumphantly. "You'd come back and beg me and Zac to rejoin your loser band and make it good again, and here you are"

I sighed. "Josh I'm just looking for Leanne." He seemed wildly offended at my comment. "What on earth do you want to see my daughter for." He demanded

I squeezed Sarah's hand. "She's been bullying my daughter and I-. I want it to end." I said. He peeked behind me leg where a very frightened Sarah had been hiding.

His eyes widened and he seemed lost for words. "H-Hayley is she-" he stuttered. I rolled my eyes "no she's not yours". He breathed a sigh of relief, just then a little girl with long blonde hair came skipping up to Josh's side

"Hi daddy" she smiled. I felt a sharp pain in my thigh and realized that Sarah was standing back behind my legs, digging her nails into my thigh. This must be Leanne.

When Leanne noticed Sarah she smiled. "Hi Sarah" she said sweetly. "H-Hi Leanne" Sarah mumbled with fear.

Josh bent down to Leanne's level and spoke gently. "Sweetheart, Mrs.Gilbert-", "Williams" I interjected. He nodded "Miss Williams, says that Sarah told her you've been bullying Sarah. Is that true?"

Leanne immediately burst into tears. "No daddy I would never I'm a good girl" she sobbed, burying her face in Josh's shoulder. He hugged her tight then looked at me.

"If my daughter says she didn't do something then I believe her, maybe you should teach your child a lesson about lying!" He spat at me.

I became furious. "Leanne is lying Sarah has the bruises to prove it" I retaliated, but josh wasn't having it. "Stop Hayley. It's clear what the situation is here, clearly Sarah is the bully."

I rolled my eyes "Bull-Fucking-Shit!" I exclaimed. "Do you really think MY child of all people would be a bully?" I asked angrily.

He scoffed. "Hayley, I think it'd be best if you and your spawn leave now". I stomped angrily off his doorstep and back to my car. I noticed Leanne smiling behind Josh's back, liar!

"Mommy slow down" Sarah whined. "Mommy you're hurting me" I let go of her arm and turned around to face her, she was crying. I pulled her into my arms and hugged her tight.

"I'm sorry sweetie" I whispered, kissing her forehead. She nodded "it's okay mommy". She's such an amazing kid, why would Leanne be so mean and then lie about it?!?

I pulled away and looked at her. She smiled at me, showing off the gap between her two front teeth. I smiled back, "I love you Bear". "Love you too, mommy" she replied happily.
