Mia scrambled around the kitchen, her apron now loosely clinging to her waist. "Haruto! Distract your father for me!" She called out to her son as she panicked. As she saw it this whole surprise was slowly turning into a disaster.

"Got it!" Haruto called out to his distressed mother, as he stretched. He did volunteer to help his mother with preparation for his father's birthday but she had made it 100% clear that she wasn't going to allow it. He just brushed it off as something she felt obligated to do as his wife.

So upon seeing Akira enter the house he smiled brightly and ran over to him, tightly hugging his father. "Happy Birthday!" He cooed out happily. The taller, black hair male chuckled as he hugged his son.

"God, is that today?" Akira muttered scratching the back of his head. "After getting married and having a child you just sorta forget about your own birthday." He added before ruffling his son's hair.

"Speaking of getting married, where's your mother?" He asked.

"Mom's kind of...you in one of her moods," Haruto said, hoping his father would take the bait. "I-i didn't know that and I think I upset her. So I was wondering if you and I could go or and get something to help me make it up to her." The male lied looking up at his father.

"Oooh, I see. Well, it probably is smart to let her cool down a bit." Akira muttered softly. He then nodded looking at his son. "In other words, sure we can do that."

It was a few hours before the two males had got back home. Though the were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Mia, who looked it a bit more well dressed then Haruto remembered her to be before.

"Hey, Princess." Akira cooed softly, as he carefully set down the bags in his hands. He then pulled his beloved into his embrace and carefully stole a tender kiss from her. Something the brunette was more than happy to return.

Haruto on the other hand simply sighed as he grabbed the bags and brought them to the kitchen. He wasn't very surprised to see that Mia had not only finished the meal she had been slaving over. But that she had also spruced up the kitchen. He carefully grabbed the flowers he had gotten and placed them into the elegant crimson vase that rested on the dark brown almost black table. A smile coated his lips as he watched his mother and father enter the kitchen hand in hand.

Akira's slate-grey eyes twinkled as he looked around the room. "You did all this for me?" He asked as he looked down at the small brunette at his side.

"I couldn't have done it without Haruto talking you into going out for a while." Mia purred. She then carefully let go of Akira's hand as she walked to the oven and pulled out a cake. "See at first I was just going to make a small meal and some cake. But seeing as you and Haruto went out for a few hours, you two got an even bigger meal." She cooed as she set the cake down on the table.

"You two really didn't need to spoil me like this. I mean I didn't even remember it was my own birthday." He chuckled. Mia shook her head as she carefully kissed his jaw.

"Of course we did." Mia purred. "Now dig in because I can assure you this isn't the only surprise you have waiting for you." She giggled.

"There's more?" Akira asked chuckling. He only got nods from the two in response.

"Happy Birthday, Akira." Mia giggled softly with a large smile.
