Han's POV

RUN

My inner wolf practically screamed.

I had to run, far, far, away.

I ran away with all my might in my wolf form, my body aching and crying out for help as I ran farther and farther away from my previous pack.

Sobs were ripped from my throat as I pushed my weak omega form to it's limits, but I couldn't stop, not for one second, not until I couldn't hear the raging footsteps and crunching of dry, dead, leaves and branches behind me.

I was choking out a sob, coughing out as the tears blurred my vision in front of me, a strained gasp leaving me as I kept running, not bringing myself to stopping, even as the running footsteps behind me were no longer.

I cough out as I tumbled forward into a small dip in the dirt, slamming onto my stomach as I finally came to a stop in the dip of the ground, tears cascading down my face as I trembled, trying to stand back up.

I got up on unsteady legs, and started running once again, even though it was rather clumsily and without purpose, as there wasn't anyone chasing me any longer.

I kept running until I tripped on a rock, making me tumble into a brick wall, pulling a pained shriek out of me as my back slammed into the bricks.

My body now upside down, my head on the ground and my legs up in the air, my battered tail lying limply against the back of my leg.

I couldn't bring myself to move, closing my eyes, taking the childish thought of "If I can't see you, you can't see me." literally.

My body ached and screamed at me to keep moving no matter what, my inner wolf telling me to never stop.

I tensed in my position when I heard an unfamiliar howl, high and bristly, making me let out a weak howl of my own.

I yelped when I heard approaching footsteps, my wolf jumping into action and making me scramble to stand up, pushing myself against the brick wall that I previously collided with, or rather, into.

"Who are you ?"

The voice of one of the many wolves standing before me asked harshly, making me let out a whine, tears still running down my face.

I was letting out laboured breaths, still exhausted from running for so long.

"Ha- Help me..."

I pleaded, whining as I hid my face from the wolves, tucking my head underneath my paws.

"He can't be a rogue hyung."

Someone else's voice rang out making me shake my head into the dirt beneath me.

"P-Please- don'- don't- don't kill me..."

I pleaded, choking on my tears and the rough sobs, my body sprawling out before the unknown wolves as my body gave out, my vision fading to black.

Minho's POV

My eyes widened as the small wolf before Chan, Changbin, Hyunjin and I passed out not long after begging us not to kill him.

"Poor thing."

Hyunjin said sympathetically, tucking himself into Chan's side.

"Well, he's not rogue, so it's safe to assume he's not dangerous, but he could be a spy."

Changbin said, nudging the small, limp wolf slightly, pulling a whine from the unconscious wolf.

"Look at his tail, his paws, his ears, h-he practically looks dead."

Hyunjin whined at my words, making Chan nip at me in warning.

"C-Can we keep him ?"

Hyunjin asked Chan, the leading alpha of the pack.

"Mmh, don't say that as if he's a pet bunn, he's a wolf just like you."

Chan scolded lightly.

"I know, s' jus' that he's so small."

Changbin did a half circle around the wolf before looking over at us.

"He's practically your age Hyun, he was probably...most likely...mistreated, in his old pack."

I hummed, leaning down to sniff at the small wolf.

"Explains why he's so small, can't even smell his natural scent, it's like they didn't let him bathe."

I explained, nudging him just like Changbin did.

"Let's get him to the pack doctor."

Changbin shifted into to his human form, picking the small wolf up with ease.

"Seungmin can give him a check up, but Lee Know is giving him a bath, since he's the only one without a mate."

I nodded without argument letting out a sigh, and we walked towards the front gates of the pack house.

"Oh my..."

Were the only words Seungmin could utter as Changbin set the wolf down gently on the examination table.

"He crashed into the back of one of the pack walls, passed out not even two minutes after we found him."

Changbin explained calmly.

"Oh, how old is he ?"

We all shrugged, and Chan explained.

"He's at least Hyunjin's age, maybe a little older than you though."

Seungmin hummed with a nod at the explanation.

"Thought he was a rogue until he spoke to us, didn't give us a name, passed out before he could even answer."

I explained, looking at the matted fur of the to small pup like adult.

"I'll check his vitals and tell you his condition, not sure when he'll wake up, but I'll put him in a room."

Chan agreed.

"Yeah, good idea, lock it for good measure, he may need a bit of medical attention for a few days, his tail and fur are practially in bits, you can practically see his skin, his fur looks like it's thinning."

Seungmin's gloved hands hovered over the small wolfs fur, looking over everything.

"He's got a few scabs, his paws look like they've been through hell, they look raw and swollen."

Seungmin said expertly, spreading one of the bloody paws, a loud shriek following the action, making all of us flinch harshly.

"He's not awake ?"

Hyunjin asked in disbelief, his face holding one of the deepest frowns I'd seen on him to date.

The wolf was just about to put the paw Seungmin previously held into his mouth, making me spring into action.

I carefully pulled the wolf's paw away from it's mouth, carefully setting it back in it's previous position.

"Guess not, but with the sound he just let out I thought he would wake up."

The small wolf moved in his sleep and everyone in the room went silent, our bodies stiff until the small wolf settled.

"Alright, his vitals aren't irreparable. He's definitely an adult wolf, his body hasn't matured properly due to malnourishment, once he gets up he needs some food and lots of milk and water to get him up to full strength."

Chan nodded, listening closely.

"Whatever pack he came from no longer wants him, I don't see a pack emblem on him anywhere."

Chan said, an unreadable look on his face.

"Well, we'll have to question him in the morning, it's already getting pretty late and I have a feeling his body is gonna need a good amount of rest."

Seungmin stated, tapping lightly at Changbin's arm.

"Let's get him into one of the rooms, lock it for extra measures, and maybe the windows too, in case he's smarter than we think."

Changbin lifted up the wolf with caution, Seungmin leading the way to an empty hospital bed.

"He'll have to be put on an IV and have a lot of medication to help his body grow, he especially needs vitamins.

Seungmin explained, writing things down on his clipboard after he put on a new pair of fresh gloves.

"If he's going to be a new pack member, I want the pack to welcome him with open arms, that's if questioning him tomorrow goes smoothly."

Chan added, telling Seungmin he would be the one to question the small adult wolf tomorrow when he woke up.
