Outro/Credits

Hey, guys. True to my good habit, this chapter shares sort of behind-the-scenes secrets about one of my most overblown crossover ideas, that I ever write. Of course, before that, two of my good friends blogger colleagues also write their own opinions. After all, they were the first to see my writing and sometimes gave me hints.

Roland (wolfguy1989)

As mentioned as my colleague, Ragna, he recently cut into another fanfiction. My Hero Academia is crossed, or more precisely, its characters with one of this year's most hyped anime, Oshi no Ko, and all this with a detective story.

Story: I'm the same with detective stories as I am with isekai stories. Details is the most crucial segment. If it gets my attention enough, that's a good point. This fanfiction as a traditional detective work is well done. Nicely combines the characters and the world of the two anime and does not feel that one is just filling in the other universe. The detective story is more than satisfactory, and the idea of a Quirk-based murder is something in itself that I regret that in the original work it was only introduced through Tomura. But it would have been interesting to see a character of this ability what he could have. The parts of the case are nicely written down, every little detail is in place and gives a consistent picture, and the revelation is quite cathartic. True, you don't have to think of a "Murder On Orient Express", but in the mood it bring the style of Agatha Christie's works.

Characters: In this fanfiction, on the other hand, brings real surprises in this area. Namely, the two main characters. Minoru Mineta and Ai Hoshino. I don't have to tell that Mineta is an idle comic relief character in the BnHA, and that's why his only role is to keep getting beat up for his perversity. Well, this is also present here, but this time Ragna's colleague highlighted the value of the character, that he is not only terribly perverted, but also terribly intelligent and that the vein of the detective is very well developed. And by the way, he also a good writer. The process as the other characters slowly realize that he is not just a perverted nobody and is an extremely satisfying process. Mineta has become a much more likeable character to me and I hope she can solve a few more cases. Then there's Ai. Well, since I don't read the Oshi no Ko manga, all I know about the character is what the anime let me see. an overly naive girl who thinks motherhood is just a good party, but is visibly spiritually damaged, who almost wants to be loved. In contrast, in Ragna's work, Ai has become a much more sympathetic character in my eyes. because here, if not completely adult, she behaves much more mature, she is aware of her mistakes and admits them, and also tries to be a better idol and mother. We will also learn about her backstory. I liked this. Her conversations and relationship with Mineta are very cute. Aqua and Ruby are also included in the story, and the rest of them although they do not disturb much water. Let's say it would have been good to read a little further as Kirishima and Kaminari are teasing Bakugou that he is secretly a fans of Ai, but this is only a personal opinion.

If I had to sum up this story I would say that this was a great introduction. A Detective Conan -style series can be brought out. however, I wouldn't mind not only getting our favorite pervert detective on simpler cases, but also sometimes getting darker, possibly more complicated cases that push certain moral boundaries. I think it should be awesome. Well, that would be my opinion, I hope you enjoyed the work of colleague Ragna. Goodbye.

Although I don't have much time to read fanfiction stuff for a long time, but if Ragna feel like writing something, I'm always happy to receive it. This time, he came up with an idea that I missed in the field of this sub -sector and it was refreshment for me, even to put his favorite anime series into a new genre. This is the detective genre, which for some reason most of the superhero stuff, be it American or Japanese superheroes, has been very, very neglected.

First, let's say it was weird to have chosen Mineta. Because although his Quirk could come in handy for sneaking and ambushing missions, as a detective I couldn't imagine, even though I knew about the Detective Conan series. Maybe it was just his design. However, since Ragna has already put a lot of fun fanfiction works on the table, I decided to look forward to it. As Ragna said in previous works, how he imagines the story you want to use, and which series, mangas, animes and films inspired. He planned in very detail the story.

It is well known that the biggest difficulty with detective stories is to write cases and matters as well as screws so that they are not self -contradictory. Don't feel the reader inventing the writer on the go. Or that every foundation laid should never be broken, otherwise at best it will become a parody, at worst it will be either a messy story )For example: Kingdom Hearts series.) or a public laugh (Velma.). As I wrote, Ragna's first job was to surely avoid these many times, so she wrote the main points, major events, wisely planned in advance. So if he wanted to change anything on the fly, he knew what he shouldn't change.

After planning and began writing a new series, he was constantly sent to me to read. I really liked the actors' dramas and the description of their inner world, the unfolding and forecasting of investigative threads. Plus the humor were still funny and entertaining, which of course still had references to movies, series and of course anime. Hoshino Ai's transfer to me was a bit questionable at first because to this day the soul hasn't taken me to look at the Oshi no Ko. Fortunately Ragna created it so I could enjoy her character without it.

I really liked the end of the series. It was well build, there was no contradiction in the story and the twists. The investigation was well structured, and the jokes were cleverly planted so that the reader does not fall out of the mood of the given situation. for me it was an experience, especially as I wrote, Detective fanfiction stuff getting less and less there is something I will never understand. Although in my opinion it is not widespread this concept and idea because most writers know they are unable to write a logically structured detective story (Or doesn't want to try it.). Fortunately Ragna succeeded that.

In present, Ragna decided to write a sequel. I don't want to shoot any of it, except that it takes place a month after the this story. He also have specific plans and ideas. So, if you enjoyed this, that you should try it, when it's published. Goodbye!

Ragnafan1992:

Now, it's my turn now. Where did the BnHA and the Oshi no Ko crossover come from? I often cannot give a clear answer in this regard. "It just seemed like a good idea." answer comes to my mind. If someone says this is a double -edged sword, it is absolutely right. However, the choice of detective crime genre is not a coincidence. On the one hand, this genre has always attracted me, and on the other hand, I like to try this myself. More extra, the crime in a world full of superheroes is completely unused. How much can you get out of it, for a great example is Batman The Animated Series. In terms of story, I left it all to my imagination. More precisely, I delimited the basics, but I solved the filling freely. Therefore, in not one case, I have already reached out to a schematically finished chapter and written it or rewrote it. A great example of this is the conversation between Mineta and Ai in Chapter Seven, which has been expanded three times. I originally wanted to write to 12 chapters, but to my surprise I was ready for chapter ten. It's okay to me, as one of the biggest pitfalls of this genre is when it is stretched to boredom.

The two main characters, Mineta Minoru and Ai Hoshino, were a sure point in my mind from the very beginning. The male protagonist had to show that not only can he be a pervert, but his wit and logic are unmatched. In return, he may be surprised because he is still young. The female protagonist, on the other hand, managed to become a little more mature (I'm not watched Oshi no Ko. I only know something to Wikipedia.), so she is aware that her glory built up by lies and the resulting mistakes will be her fall. Furthermore, she lacks the sincere love and devotion, that she receives from Mineta. Because of this, she ends up standing on her heels and facing the demons of her past. It wasn't a love affair that was my primary goal, much more about wiping out the idol – fan thread and turning it into a deep friendship. I tried to include as many characters as possible, which is why the class is getting into the investigation. A funny extra about this is that Roland gave the idea for the bodyguard thread, just like Bakugo is also a B-Komachi fan, just hiding this.

Now surely some questions arise. Why did I choose Mineta as the protagonist? Why did I show the real culprit in advance about serial murder? And was that all about detective crime idea? Well, I answer the questions in turn. Mineta represents brain rather than brawn. Anyone who goes up to Wikipedia can see on their data sheet that his intelligence is 6 from 5 points. In short, he is a true genius and is aware of his own medium, as he breaks the fourth wall at least twice. In addition, I still remember, when I received the criticism about Star Knight Deku, that "This is bullshit! Midoriya never can be a Quirkless Hero.". They won't cut this in my point here, since Mineta is a comic relief character. The answer to the second question is that this may seem like a mistake, but I also think it's exciting to show theculprit being sent to prison. How can a virtually untouchable, popular, but corrupted person be trapped and crushed with evidence? I think this can be exciting too. The last answer is, originally the detective crime idea was supposed to be that, but the thing is, I see a lot of potential in it. So the continuation is planned. In it, I want to bring in new cases that might even touch the events of cannon. Add new characters, introduce Mineta's family, and I want to carry on the relationship of Ai Hoshino.

Thank you for reading my work. I hope that you will tell me what you think about this short but exciting work in the form of a comment. Goodbye!
