Kitty

The ceiling spun slightly as I watched the planks of wood. It was a quiet room, but his voice and mine continues to fight.

"You almost killed me!" I yelled at my boyfriend Gene in anger.

"You don't know that you were going to. It was just for fun." Gene angrily said back.

"Oh yeah? You were just showing off."

I shut my eyes tightly to get rid of it. I don't want to be reminded of him. Of those years that I actually loved him...

Tears slipped from my eyes. But it was amazing to feel like someone actually loved me... for me... No one else can do it anymore...

I sighed before there was a quiet knock downstairs, making me sit up and try to dry my tears before going downstairs.

I gently opened the door to be greeted by Vylad..

"Good morning, Kit- are you okay?" He asked, his voice going from happy to concern.

I quietly nodded, trying not to break down in tears. He sighed softly. "Kitty... Tell me what's going on..."

I shook my head when he started to say things, crying. He looked completely distraught.

"Kitty..." He walked up to me, gently wrapping his arms around my bag in a gentle hug.

I buried my head into his chest, crying still.

I don't miss Gene... I miss love... And I don't want anything to happen like that again...

"Hey Kitten~" Gene chuckled as he walked up to me on the dock.

"Hey Gene." I quietly smiled to him.

He smiled back, sitting down beside me and wrapping an arm around my back.

I leaned against his shoulder, closing my eyes happily and peacefully. "I love you, Gene."

"I love you too, Kitty..." He softly told me back.

My eyes gently opened. I slowly stopped crying, the warmth from Vylad's embrace... was comforting....

Vylad looked down at me with a smile.  "You alright now?" He softly asked.

I gently nodded. "Mhm... Thanks Vylad." I softly smiled.

Vylad chuckled gently. "Anything for you, Kitty." He softly said.

I blushed lightly at his statement before we both let go of one another.

He chuckled. "Well, I just wanted to check on you since, Gene hasn't been around for a while... I thought you guys ight have been with him."

"Okay..." I softly said as I looked up at him.

He gently smiled at me as he encouragingly squeezed my arm.

I smiled before we both said good-bye and he left.

My smiled faded. I never told anyone we weren't dating anymore... but... it felt so weird talking to him...

Vylad

-Later that day/night-

I sat on the edge of the dock, stating off into the blue sea.

I won't lie to you... Because I know he's just not right for you...

The way Kitty was in there... He has done things that would make her feel that way...

I love her... I know that what they had, couldn't be actual love...

"And you can tell me if I'm off but I see it in your face. When you say that he's the one that you want..." I softly sang-said to myself.

Every time we've talked... She said that she wanted him... But... He's so horrible to her...

"And you're spending all your time in this wrong situation and anytime you want it to stop..." I softly said before standing up.

"I know I can treat. you. better. than he can. And any girl like you. deserves. a. gentleman." I sang softly again, my eyes closed as I stood on the deck.

Tell me why are we wasting time... on all your wasted crying... when you should be with ME instead.

I was angered at times. I knew that we could be together. I knew it. I believed it. I could SEE it... But she still seems to love Gene...

I know I can treat you better... better than he can.

"I'll stop time for you... the second you say you'd like me to..." I softly said.

She deserves to be treated like the woman she is... Even if it means giving up this time...

And I was the one there to comfort her...

"Give me a sign... take my hand, we'll be fine... promise I won't let you down..." I looked back to the sea.

"Just know that you don't, have to do this alone, promise I'll never let you down..." I sighed before I heard her giggle.

My face immediately flushed red. Holy Irene she heard me...

I turned around and saw her all cheeky pink a few feet behind me. "Who are you singing about?" She asked softly.

"Uhm..." My face blushed as I rubbed my neck.

She giggled. "Well... I needed to tell you something..."

"What is it?" I asked softly, walking up to her.

She looked down. "When we talked earlier... I wanted to mention..." She took a deep breath. "Gene and I aren't together anymore.."

I looked at her. "Really? Why not?"

I mean. Come on. I might have a chance... Ugh forget it.

"He scared me a few weeks ago and... I ended it... So he couldn't hurt me anymore..." Kitty softly said.

I smiled at her. "Hey... Kitty..." I softly said as I touched her hand, making her giggle as she looked back up at me.

"That song... Was for you... For kind of this subject..." I softly said, though I wanted to scream it out.

Kitty's face went into an embarrassed red. "You would sing about me...?"

I nodded softly.

"'Cause I know I can treat you better than he can... and any girl like you deserves a gentleman..." I softly sang directly to her.

She looked up at me as I did.

"Tell me why are we wasting time, on all your wasted crying, when you should be with me instead..." Blush started to Tony my cheeks as she smiled at the last third.

"I know I can treat you better... Better than he can." I finished.

She looked up at me. "Vylad..." She softly said.

"Kitty, ever since I met you, I loved you... But... When I did meet you... you were with Gene... I have seen how he treats you... And Heard what you think on it sometimes..." I softly said.

She smiled lightly as she looked down. "Well... I've kinda liked you too... But... I just thought it was because... I wanted to be friends... But... I really wanted to be more..." She blushed even more, which made me chuckle.

"Take it slow?" I softly said. "Nothing has to happen. Nothing. Not until you are ready..." I said quietly.

Kitty nodded softly before hugging me.

I smiled as I hugged her back.

"I love you Vylad..." She whispered.

I smiled. "I love you too..."
