Magic Before Blood: GxAxL

Magic Before Blood: Garroth x Alaina x Loretta

Phoenix Drop

"I'm still tired, Alaina." Garroth groaned, covering his head with his pillow. I lightly laughed, rolling onto my back, looking at him.

"It's after nine, buddy." I said quietly.

He shot up, the pillow half flying off the bed in the process, "What?"

I laughed sleepily before rolling over, "Morning."

Garroth chuckled before he fell back onto the bed, grabbing me. I gasped in surprise, my eyes widening as I was rolled onto my back in the middle of the bed.

He hovered over me, his wide grin on his face, "Boo."

I frowned lightly, hitting him with my pillow, saying: "Garroth Joseph Ro'Meave."

He chuckled, catching the pillow, saying back in a mimicked way: "Alaina Rose Ro'Meave."

I started to slightly smile, rolling my eyes in a glad annoyance, "I don't like you sometimes."

"I know you don't. Because you love me." Garroth said in a smart alek tone, making me raise my brow, looking at him.

"Smart ass." I mumbled, closing my eyes. (I'm sorry... I just had to!)

"Oh, Alaina, that's not lady like." Garroth said lowly, lowering his head beside my ear, "That was not lady like."

"You're not a perfect gentleman either, Garroth." I retorted, rolling onto my side opposite from him.

He laughed lightly, falling down onto the bed beside me, "I'm sorry."

"No you're not." I said, trying as hard as I could to keep a straight face, swinging a pillow at him.

"Lainy..." He said childishly before I rolled my head to look at him.

"What?"

"I love you."

I sighed softly, rolling my body to meet my head's direction, facing him: "I love you too, Garroth."

He smiled lightly, gently scooting closer, putting his arms around me. I yawned lightly, gently snuggling my head into his shoulder, resting on his collarbone. He smiled softly, his hands holding me gently, his warmth enveloping me.

"It's been a really long time since we could just lay here and enjoy each other's company." I softly said, opening my eyes, breaking the silence after a few minutes.

Garroth chuckled, sending vibrations through his body, the kinetic energy transferring into my body: "It has been a while. First time I haven't been to another city, people needing your help, meetings..." He trailed off, lightly moving his hands to my sides.

"And the twins wanting us to go help them..." I softly said, not moving from my position.

He chuckled, "And them." He sighed contently before looking down at me, "You sure you don't want any more kids?" He asked randomly.

I looked up at him, "Garroth, I just don't think..." I trailed off before sighing, "Honest to Irene... I want more but, at the same time, I don't think we have the time..."

He laughed softly, "What makes you think that?"

"We listed everything off a minute ago."

Garroth smiled, "Still... We can make time for it..."

"That's... comforting. not really." I said, trying not to laugh as hard as I wanted to.

He laughed quietly, "It's been 14 years... Come on. It'd be new." He got up, leaving me still laying on the bed.

I still just looked at him, dumbfounded how he never asked me before, "Why didn't you ask like, in the past 10 years." I said, trying to piece together words.

"Cause I was waiting for you to ask." He looked at me, standing up from bed.

"Well, I was waiting for you to ask about it as well." I sat up, looking at him, "We've been married for 11 years, for Irene's sake. You think we should have before?"

"Probably. But, better late than never?" He asked as he grabbed one of the shirts from the dresser.

I couldn't help but laugh, "That's my shirt, sleepyhead."

He looked at it with a confused look before chuckling, throwing it to me lightly, "That's besides the point."

I nodded softly, "Well, you're right." I held the shirt as I got up, walking over to him, "Soon. Just not at this moment."

He chuckled softly, "Why not?" He asked.

"We just got up and it's morning, ya dork." I knocked my fist lightly on his shoulder, not wanting to hit him in the head.

He sighed playfully, "Alright, alright. But I'm surprising you when."

"Fine."

(I want to apologize for that... I got caught up in the moment of writing... Also... Alaina was 15 when she conceived and 16 when she had them... This is like the Elizabethan Era where, yeah. They were young. I'm sorry but... yeah. :P)

"Mother..." Matthew whined, looking at I and Garroth as we walked down the stairs.

"Yes, Matthew?" I said, raising a brow.

"Why were you and Father taking forever." He said, walking up to us.

"Because we can sleep in if we want to?" I questioned.

Garroth chuckled lightly as he looked at Matt and the nearing Trinity.

"Trinity and I wanted to go with the guards on patrol but we had to get permission from you first and you two were asleep..." Matthew said, upset.

"Well, you can go, you know. As long as you stay in the village." Garroth said, looking at us.

I nodded in agreement, "Yeah. And at least stay with one of them..." I added.

"Wait... really!?" Trinity said, her eyes lighting up.

Matthew looked at me, awe struck. I laughed softly, "Go on ahead."

The twins shouted with happiness before going outside, leaving me still standing where I was in shock.

Garroth laughed, "That was... Something else."

"No kidding." I said quietly before walking over to him.

He handed me a cup of juice, kissing my nose, "There ya go."

I laughed lightly, "What are you drinking? That nasty coffee?"

"It's not that bad." He said, drinking out of his mug.

"Uh huh. That stuff smells and tastes like dog food that was mushed and mixed with curdled milk."

He smirked lightly: "Then I guess I can't do this?"

I had just set my cup down and turned when he kissed me just after he took another sip. My eyes widened, being able to smell it. I pushed his chest, "Hey!" I frowned, wiping my mouth, accidentally licking my lip, tasting the gross substance, "Ew..."

He laughed warmly, looking at me, his grin on his cheeks, "I love you~"

"I don't love you from that." I said, upset, drinking half my cup to rid my tongue of the taste.

Garroth chuckled, "I couldn't help it."

"I figured." I said softly, wiping my mouth again and looking at him.

He walked back over to me, his soft smile still plastered on his face.

I sighed softly, looking up at him: "Garroth, Garroth, wherefore art thou, Garroth." I said jokingly.

Garroth chuckled softly, "Because I'm a Ro'Meave and, I wanted to kiss you."

A giggle erupted from my throat. I smiled lightly up at him.

He chuckled, lightly leaning to give me another kiss. We almost did before the door suddenly opened, "Lord Ro'Meave!"

Garroth's head snapped in the direction of the voice.

Dante stood there, panting, his dark blue hair hanging every which way.

"What?" Garroth said, slightly confused.

"She's..." Dante sucked in a huge breath, looking like he had run from the gates, "That woman is back... She's ordering for you to come..." He finished, finally regaining his breath.

"Loretta..." Garroth muttered under his breath before looking at me. "Stay here." He softly said.

I shook my head, "Garroth, whoever is ordering for you to come, I'm coming as well."

"Alaina, I want you to stay here."

"Garroth, I'm your wife. For better or worse. I'm coming."

Garroth sighed before chuckling, "Alright." He turned to Dante, "Show us there."

Dante nodded before starting out.

The two of us followed him, me wanting to know why they were so tense at that. Dante had sweat dripping off his head and onto his armor. Garroth and Dante's hair was all over once again. I sighed quietly in my head, hoping this wouldn't end badly.

As we approached the gates, I noticed people looking at me with confused looks, some glaring as they saw how I was near Garroth.

Is it a crime to be with my husband?

Ahead, Garroth grimaced, "What are you doing in my village Loretta." He sharply said.

The woman with a cloak over her head looked at him, "Garroth!" She said in a sweet tone before she pulled the hood off, revealing a... young lady with the same basic features as I.

He frowned, "Get out."

"Aw... why is that, Mr. Ro'Me- oh." The woman looked at me as I finally found my place beside his right. "Who is this woman." She said, her voice suddenly going sour.

"I'm Alaina." I said confidently. "May I ask who you are?"

"Loretta.. It's a pleasure to meet you.." She said stickily, not meaning a word.

Garroth noticed this, as well as I did, him getting angrier by the moment. "Don't you talk to my wife that way, you worm." He said, putting his arm protectively in front of me.

This side of him, startled me. I never had known he had met this woman and, he acts like they had a history.

She chuckled, "Wife? You got down and dirty with this little child?" She said, looking at me.

I'm taller than her... Either she's older than me or she's insulting me.

Garroth growled before he pointed out, "Leave. If I ever see your face around here again, I'll finish you myself."

Loretta sighed, "Fine, love." She looked at me with a little smirk, "It's been a fine meeting with you, Miss Corona." She looked at Garroth for a long moment.

In that moment, I noticed a small swirl of red in her eyes, the sight sending a chill down my spine.

Dante looked between them as Loretta left: "Why are you letting her go?" He said to Garroth.

Garroth sighed, "She's not worth it right now, Dante." He looked at him, "Go back to patrol. Make sure the twins are alright."

"What twins?" Dante said casually.

"Our twins. Trinity and Matthew." Garroth said, slightly annoyed.

Dante caught the annoyance. "Ah. Alright, sir." He said before hurrying off.

I looked at Garroth, "He's acting different... Everyone is..."

Garroth looked at me, "Yeah... Dante is... and it seems like others are too..." He sighed, "Maybe everyone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning."

I nodded quietly, looking down.

His voice was a tell-tale sign that he was smiling: "Everyone but us."

My head went back up after he said it. He smiled softly, his left arm slinking around my waist, his left hand intertwining with my left.

I smiled gently, leaning my head against him, closing my eyes for a moment. I immediately opened them.

That... no... it's just a bad feeling. It's not like that would happen... Right?

~~~~------~~~~
I quietly laid in bed, Garroth lying beside me, his chest rising and falling with mine. After a moment, someone's whisper came out.
"Garroth...?" I quietly whispered, looking over my shoulder.
"Hm...." He answered sleepily, not opening his eyes.
"Did you hear that?" I asked softly, moving closer to him.
"Mmm...." He sat up slightly, the bed cover sliding down slightly as he did, "No..." He opened his eyes lightly, looking at me.
I looked up at him, "I heard someone downstairs..."
He chuckled softly, "It's probably Matthew, Trinity, or Zoey." He said softly, gently lying down, snuggling up to me.
I softly turned onto my other side, cuddling into him, our bare bodies against each other. I closed my eyes again, "I feel like it's something else..."
He yawned quietly, his chin on mine, my head on his chest just under his head, against his collarbone. He gently said: "Even if someone is there, I'll protect you... It'll be okay, princess."
A sigh escaped my lips, my body starting to relax from the tension, "Alright..."
Garroth hummed lightly for a moment, "I love you, Alaina..."
I smiled quietly, gently moving my head into his chest, becoming more comfortable, "I love you too, Garroth..."
His snoring sent vibrations down his chest and into my body, the energy a comforting one, something that make me feel safe.
Though... Just as I began to fall asleep again, there was a clatter.
I couldn't help but grow curious and more fearful. Tears clouded my eyes, my heart rate sped up, all of this as my anxiety of what was there went higher and higher.
Before I heard the creak of the door...
My body went still, fear surging through my veins, the only thing keeping me from screaming was Garroth holding onto me still.
Then everything went cold, clothes touching my skin, my feet standing on the floor, undergarments tighter than they should have been. My lips furrowed into a frown, "What the-"
A shriek rang out, my head snapping to the side, a woman laying in bed beside Garroth, her features similar to mine, but she wasn't me.
Wait... I know her...
Garroth shot up a moment later. He looked at the woman that was looking at me, the blanket up to her chin, before he looked at me. His eyes were a slightly darker blue, anger suddenly to me, "You."
"Garroth, it's me! It's not anyone-" I tried to say, pulling the hood off.
Garroth growled before two guards ran in, Laurance and Dante. "Arrest her, you two." Garroth said.
Laurance and Dante looked at me before going over, grabbing my arms. I made no attempt to move, thinking this was a dream, "Garroth, please... She's the one that isn't right! It's me... Alaina!"
"Alaina." His voice growled, "I told you last time that if I found you in my village again... I would kill you."
My eyes widened.
"Take her to the prison. Execution tomorrow morning." He said sternly to the boys.
"Yes, lord Ro'Meave." The two men said in unison as they yanked me to the door.
"Garroth! No...! This isn't right!" I shouted, trying to stop from moving. They growled as they forced me forward. I looked back.
Garroth was looking at the woman, holding her close, trying to calm her down. The woman's crystal blue eyes looked at me. She smirked lightly, mouthing, He's Mine Now.
I shouted again as they dragged me out. Down the hall, two pairs of footsteps came running.
"Mother!" Trinity's voice said. I looked that direction, seeing the twins coming closer and closer.
Matthew looked at Laurance and Dante, "Let Mother go!"
Laurance and Dante ignored them as they dragged me down the stairs.
"Matthew Thomas.... Trinity Marie..." I said just as I started going down, "I'll be fine... Go back to sleep..."
Matthew and Trinity looked at each other, then looked back at me. Trinity quietly nodded, "Okay... Night, momma..."
I smiled to her softly, "I love you two.."
They didn't have a chance to reply before I was dragged out into the dark night. I coughed, being dragged down to the prison. They threw me into a cell in the basement, locking it.
"Have a good night's sleep." Laurance chuckled, "For it'll be your last."
"No! Laurance, Dante, don't do this!" I said, getting up, grabbing the cell bars.
Laurance and Dante cold-heartedly laugh, "Why not!? You don't deserve to live anymore."
Dante shut the door behind them as they left. My jaw dropped, eyes wide, tears starting to flow, everything burning and aching inside.
Garroth... What's happened to you...
Third Person POV
She slunk out of bed, looking over her shoulder at Garroth. She smirked lightly before going to get dressed. She tightened her clothing, looking into a mirror.
"Perfect." She murmured to herself. She looked to the side before swirling her hand in a soft motion, a black cloak forming, draping itself over her head and body. Her face was overshadowed by the cloak.
Her head turned to look at Garroth, her smirk still planting itself on her lips. "Soon, love, you'll be mine..." She murmured before quietly slipping out of the door, walking down the hall, down the stairs, into the faint baby blue light of early morning, about an hour off of dawn.
"Who are you?" A girl's voice said from the top of the stairs.
Loretta turned around, looking up, seeing Trinity, not knowing who she was.
"Go back to sleep, child... It's okay." Loretta said, her voice not close to Alaina's.
Trinity frowned, looking at her, "You're not momma."
Loretta chuckled softly, "Yes, I am... You're still tired. Go back to sleep."
Trinity stared at her, "No."
She frowned, "No?"
"No."
Loretta slowly started to go up the stairs, her hands slowly being revealed from under the cloak, a dagger in one.
Trinity stood bravely, looking at her, "What have you done with mother."
"Nothing." She said, slowly raising the dagger. "Now go back to bed and do not come back out until your father sends for you." Loretta lowly said.
Trinity stared at her before shrinking back. She went back into her room quietly, her hands shaking.
Loretta put her hand back under her cloak before disappearing, making her way to the cell down below, wanting to see Alaina. She opened the door softly, looking in.
Alaina
I had found a way to get some form of comfort in my clothing before the door creaked quietly. My body moved upwards, almost anticipating it as a horrible dream finally ending.
Then the figure in black stood before the door, looking at me slowly. I frowned in my head. Great. Now the Grim Reaper has come to take my soul. I guess Garroth and everyone else really wants me that dead.
"Alaina, Alaina." The voice was low, but was soft like a woman's. I looked at the woman.
Her body moved slightly under the cloak, shifting, "Well, isn't it nice to see you once again."
"Hard to return that when I don't know who you are."
The woman chuckled, "That's something you don't need to know. Not at the moment, at least. Or ever." Her figure slowly moved towards me, the cell door shutting. "The only thing you need to know is that you're not going to die."
"I'm not? Why not.." I said slowly, almost unable to believe this woman's words.
She smirked lightly, I only knowing from the tone of her next words: "Because I'm giving you a fate worse than death: watching your husband love and marry someone else."
"What-" I tried to say something before she outstretched her arm, holding it in a choking position.
I gasped, starting to grab at an invisible force around my neck, everything feeling like it was being squished suddenly. I gulped weakly, running out of oxygen. Desperately, I clawed at it, trying to get it off as black spots began to swarm my sight.
"Oh don't worry, love. It's only a matter of time before you'll die too. Just after you see your children suffer and your husband never knowing what truly is at hand." She said, the voice echoing as I struggled to fight for consciousness.
"You won't... get away.... with... this..." I choked out weakly before the black started to take over my vision fully.
Her low laugh was the last thing I heard, my body crumbling to the ground as the last thing I felt, and her advancing to me was the last thing I saw.
"Alaina!" A voice that I had heard for days shouted.
I looked around, trying to find the source. "Garroth!?"
"Alaina!!"
Suddenly, my waist had a strong grip as I was lifted up to the sky. I gasped, looking down in surprise, baby blue eyes meeting mine.
"Oh my goodness..." I whispered as he pulled me down, hugging me softly.
"I missed you so much..." Garroth quietly said. "Every night I kept thinking of you and the baby." He whispered, his arms still on my waist.
I looked at him softly, "I missed you too." I whispered, my vision starting to clog with tears.
He held me close still. I couldn't feel warmth but I could imagine it, knowing how it felt every time it did exist.
"Alaina, I'm sorry that I never saw that... that you needed me..." Garroth softly said.
I closed my eyes, smiling lightly, "It's okay... Don't worry..."
But then the voices around us started.
"Garroth~!  Where are you baby~?" The voice said, hers as soft as silk.
Garroth gripped me softly, torn in a supernatural way. "I don't want to go with her..."
"Who is that...?" I whispered, staying near him.
"Loretta..."
I started to cough, vision clouding, blood in my system running cold.
A woman. Her eyes red as fire, skin dark as night, a mad grin across her face, "Oh Lainy!" She shouted, anger in her voice as she said it in the happiest tone it could get.
The only thing that felt logical to do was scream as I felt myself being ripped away from Garroth, his body disintegrating into ashes.
My body was full of terror as the woman grinned madly, "Stay away from my husband, love." Her face went sour, exactly how Loretta's did the day before: "Or else you're children are next."
"No!" I shouted, my body shooting up. Cold sweat, panting, it's almost as if I was running.
Nothing around me looked familiar. The huge differences were that the room had no windows what so ever, my clothing was too big for me, and that there was a small crystal on a black chain on a table, food sitting beside it.
The crystal blinked before a small red image appeared. The woman just like the one at the gates stood there.
"Hello there, Miss Corona. Glad to now understand you are awake. If you haven't noticed your surroundings yet, then you are very stupid." She leaned closer in the image before her voice went into a whisper: "I kidnapped you..." She whisper-sang.
My eyes widened as I stood there.
"Now... this crystal shows MY point of view, child. You will see and hear everything I see and say when I wear this. Even then, you will still hear everything around this crystal. Garroth, the village, me, and that brat of a child you got." The woman sighed, "Hm..." She smirked. "Well, have fun in your new home. That's where you'll be, alone, with a four-day food supply, until in a week when I'm married to him and every connection of you is gone, and, well, then you will die."
I couldn't believe my eyes and ears before she laughed, "Oh don't be frightened. I'll be right here. You could talk all you want. The only thing is..." She chuckled, "No one will hear you."
The red amulet glow shut off before a black glow replaced it.
"Garroth, what shall we do today?" The woman's voice said from the background.
Garroth's happy chuckle made my heart sink in my chest: "Don't know. What would be fun?"
Loretta
"Well, we could go out together, talk, be in one another's company." My amulet sat on the bedside table, me across the room, changing from the clothes I had on prior to now.
"That would be nice." Garroth said back, nodding in agreement.
I laughed lightly, "Or... We could stay here, mess around, be young again."
Garroth raised a brow to me, "You saying what I think you're saying?"
My lips turned up in a smirk, "What do you think I'm saying?" I slowly said, walking over.
He chuckled before pulling me down, making me gasp in surprise. "You know what I think."
I giggled softly, "Well, if you want it, you have to come an' get it first."
Garroth smirked lightly, "You're on."
Trinity (Sorry I'm switching but... I ain't doing that. XD)
"Matthew..." I quietly whined, shaking his shoulder.
"Go back to sleep..." He mumbled back.
"I can't sleep... I keep having nightmares..." I softly said before crawling up on his bed, sitting on his back.
Matt gasped, shooting awake. He frowned, growling sleepily. "Sis..."
"Please...?" I asked softly, literal tears finding their way into my eyes.
Matt looked at me quietly, his eyes not as tired as he saw I was starting to cry. "Trin..." He softly pulled me into a hug, trying to help. My eyes fully clogged with tears as last night came back into my head...
"Momma's gone..." I cried, my head in my hands.
"What...?" Matt looked at me confused before he stopped, "What happened last night...?"
I nodded. "Then something else happened..." I sniffled.
"What happened?"
"A woman came from Daddy's room and... and she was wearing a black cloak... and she told me to go back to bed... but I didn't cause she wasn't Momma and... she came back up and she pulled out a dagger on me and told me to go to my room until D-Daddy got me..." I stuttered, the memory flashing through my head.
Matthew's jaw dropped as he sat there silently. "That's not Mother at all..."
I shook my head, tears clogging my eyes again before I started crying. I screamed, "Mommy!"
Matt was taken off-guard but understood why. He didn't stop me as I shouted again, hoping that everything really was just a nightmare... and Mommy was still home.
After five minutes... no one came other than Zoey's apprentice Rebecca.
"Trinity? Matthew? What's wrong?" Rebecca asked, walking in quietly.
"Mommy's gone." I said, wiping my face from the now gone tears.
Rebecca looked at me softly, "Your mom is still here, honey... She and your dad are still sleeping... Don't worry."
I shook my head again. "No... She isn't..." I whimpered. "Someone else is here..."
"Like who?" Rebecca walked over, sitting on the side of the bed beside us.
"An impersonator... She was mean this morning..." I whispered, starting to fear that the woman would hear.
Rebecca frowned lightly. She looked at the open door to across the hall where Mom and Dad's room was. "I heard two people talking in there. I thought it was your Mother and Father."
I shook my head. "Last night... Matthew and I saw Laurance and Dante taking away Momma..."
Her face turned sour. "They did what?"
I nodded, knowing she heard me.
Suddenly, the door opened down the hall. Father came out, wearing something that he hadn't worn since he had a meeting a year ago: His formal lord shirt...
"Father?" I asked, loud enough for him to hear.
Garroth looked at us before walking over, "Hey Trinity. Matthew. Rebecca." He smiled at us.
"Hello, Lord Ro'Meave." Rebecca softly said. She smiled kindly to him.
I giggled before getting up and running over to him, hugging him. "Hi daddy..."
He chuckled softly, "Hello, cupcake." He gently hugged me back, snuggling me close in a fatherly way.
Matthew came over as Garroth let go. "Hi Dad." He said softly.
"Hello, Sir Matthew." Garroth said jokingly, ruffling Matt's hair.
Matthew laughed quietly, grinning.
"Well, you two ready for breakfast?" He asked us, looking between the two of us.
"Yes!"
"Alright. Come on." He motioned for us to go downstairs.
Rebecca quietly had walked over. "Would you like me to cook, sir?"
Dad looked at her, "No, I will." He smiled, "You shouldn't have to this time."
Rebecca nodded softly, "Alright. Thank you... I should head to find Miss Zoey then... Thank you."
Dad smiled at her before she left. I looked down the hall before Father's door opened. I went blind from the night before and smiled. "Mommy!" I ran down the hall.
The woman stepped into the hall, making me suddenly try to stop, my feet rubbed raw on the carpet.
She smiled at me, "Hello, sweetie." Her voice had a certain stickyness to it.
I looked at her, a few inches shorter than her, "You're not Mommy."
She giggled, "Of course I am. Why wouldn't I be?"
"You don't look like Mommy... Mommy looks like me..."
She chuckled before looking at Garroth, "Hey honey."
"Hey babe." Garroth replied as he walked up.
I looked between them before at dad. "Daddy...? Where's Mommy?"
Father tilted his head lightly, almost confused, "She's right here."
I shook my head in disagreement, "That's not Mommy..."
Garroth chuckled, "Yes, she is your mother..."
"Mommy's taller. and she doesn't wear tight clothes... and she doesn't scare me." I said.
The woman seemed to be faking shock, her over-exaggerating her emotions. She looked at me before at Father.
Father frowned, "That's rude to say about her, Trinity. Apologize."
I stood my ground, even if it was against Daddy. "You and REAL Mommy always tell me to say the truth and not back down even  when people don't like it." I stated, "Where is real Momma."
"Your real mom." He grimaced at the words before his face went stale: "She is going to be dead soon."
Everything sunk inside. "Wh-What?"
Garroth sighed, "She tried to kill Loretta last night. She's being executed in a few hours."
Tears suddenly clogged my eyes before they left, my own anger going over. I looked at Loretta.
Loretta walked over, hugging me softly, "I'm sorry... It has to be done." She whispered.
I felt a sharp prick in my side before I pushed her away. "Don't touch me..." I whispered.
Matthew came over, suddenly hugging me protectively.
Loretta looked hurt but sighed, "You'll have to warm up to me soon enough, sweetie. I'll be your new mom next week."
Everything started to suddenly hurt. "Papa..." I whispered, my voice in my head seeming to warp into a different speech.
Daddy turned around, looking at me. "Trinity!?" He said, his eyes wide.
Loretta gasped, "She needs help!" She said, faking her worry.
Matthew held me protectively still before fully picking me up and running past the two.
My fingers began to swell, everything hurting like an allergic reaction. I was able to stay awake, but I felt nauseous, that being behind the warping voice.
"ZOEY!" Matthew shouted.
Zoey was no where downstairs. Dad came running down before he looked at me, "It's an allergic reaction. Hang on." He went over to one of the cabinets, grabbing a strange thing. He walked back over to me, touching something to my swollen inner elbow. I felt a prick before the nausea left and I didn't feel swelled anymore. I coughed, trying to figure out what that was.
"Did you eat something with black berries in it?" Dad asked me, kneeling down, looking me in the eye.
I softly shook my head. "N-no..."
He sighed, "Maybe you just caught some from dinner last night... I'm sorry, Trinity.." Dad said softly, looking at me.
My eyes caught sight of his at a better angle. A light tinge of blue covered the sky blue color. I softly hugged him, pushing that passed. "Thank you, daddy."
He hugged my back softly, kissing my forehead, "You're welcome, sweetheart."
I stayed beside him for a moment before smiling. "Can I tell you something?"
Garroth smiled, "Sure. What is it?"
I leaned over his shoulder, whispering in his hear, "I love you, daddy."
Dad smiled before rubbing my back softly, "I love you too, baby girl."
Matthew looked at us. He pouted quietly, left out.
He laughed lightly, "Come here, buddy."
Matt looked at him before coming over, Dad hugging the both of us.
I smiled softly as he kissed both of our heads before standing up.
"Waffles and juice for breakfast?" He asked.
I giggled. "Yes!"
He chuckled, "Come on."
We all went upstairs before Dad started making breakfast.
The thought from before took over my mind. Mommy is being executed...? And Loretta is gonna be our new Mother? How does that work...
The hour passed quickly as we all ate breakfast before Father and Loretta left.
Matthew and I sat at the table quietly after we ate. Then, he looked at me: "We need to stop them from killing Momma..."
I nodded in agreement. "Yup yup."
We both ran outside, still shoeless, not really caring of that. We wanted to get to Momma and stop them.
Our feet pounded the ground as we heard Father's stern voice: "Bring the executee out."
We got to the top of the hill, looking down at the village center. People slowly began to gather around, curious as to who was being killed. Mother had told us that no one had been killed here since the war before we were born. So this was the first in almost 16 years...
What seemed like Mom with a cloth over her head was dragged from the station down the pathway, her head hung low. They dragged her towards the middle where Aaron and Aphmau stood, a three foot gap between the two.
Matthew and I watched, horror clung to us.
She was put between the two, on her knees, her head up, hands tied behind her. They suddenly pulled the cloth off.
I gasped as tears rushed to my face, seeing it looked just like Mommy.
Matthew and I started to run, wanting to stop them.
Father's hand was up, palm and fingers outstretched as if waiting to give a signal.
Aaron and Aphmau held up each a sword, waiting for that signal to kill.
"Stop!" Matthew shouted.
No one turned their heads, nor looked at us. Not even father...
We were so close when father's hand dropped down, the swords coming down at a lightning speed.
"NO!" I screamed, pushing through the crowd.
The woman's eyes looked at me and Matthew. I and my brother stopped as her eyes were black instead of blue. She smiled to us before we heard a whisper, "I'm safe... It's all an act..."
The body fell to the ground before Matthew and I looked at each other, noticing that no one else flinched at it. My heart raced from before, believing that it really was Mother... But then we both smiled. "She's okay... She's okay!" I beamed, smiling happily.
Matthew smiled, hugging me. We both were happy, glad that she wasn't really being killed... Or... wait...
I turned back around, looking at the now dead woman. Her eyes had changed before my eyes widened. "M-Mommy!?"
The eyes were a crystal blue, her body and face familiar, looking like me...
I softly went over before falling down, crying. "Mommy..." I whimpered, "N-No..."
"Get back, child." Garroth's voice growled.
I gasped, looking up at his direction.
His figure was as if he was blinded by anger, him not showing any compassion. "Why are you here."
I bit my lip before moving closer to Mommy. "You killed Mommy."
Garroth frowned, "This, is not your mother. She is an imposter."
My eyes clogged with tears as I stayed near the body, screaming, "You killed Mommy!"
Garroth looked at me, "That is not your mother. You're mother is alive." He was meaning Loretta, his voice tone only showing that.
I screamed at him as he got closer to pick me up, to move me away. "NO! NO NO!" I screeched, "You killed Mommy!!!"
He sighed before grabbing my thrashing body. Two of the guards came over before holding me down. Garroth looked at me, "Maybe you would like a time-out."
Matthew ran over without the three knowing. He grabbed me and ran.
"Matthew! Trinity!" He shouted, his voice filled with rage. "Get them!" Garroth ordered.
Matthew didn't stop running. He held me tightly, not letting go, running to the gates.
Guard feet followed. We almost got to the gates before my brother cried out in pain, him falling, I going down with him. He skid across the dirt as i rolled a few feet away, hitting my head twice. My body slumped as there was a ringing in my head before everything went black.
Third Person
The Guards. They slowly advanced on the two, Matthew as if he was knocked out as well. They chuckled, standing above them.
"What are you doing." A voice said from the gates, walking towards them. Her Meif'wa ears went forward, watching them.
"Carrying out our lord's orders. Who are you." The two said, looking at her.
"I'm Kitty. Now what are you doing." She repeated again.
Matthew regained consciousness quickly. He slowly inched his way to his sister, the guards not noticing very well.
Kitty kept them having her attention, noticing Matthew. "Why are you chasing his own children?"
"They were attempting to stop an execution. He wants them back to him."
"What execution." She crossed her arms, looking at them.
Matthew got to Trinity. He softly shook her at first, but she didn't reply. He closed his eyes, remembering something he had seen Zoey do for Rebecca when she had been knocked out from a lesson.
He quietly got next to her ear, whispering a small chant, something very familiar to the Corona family as well as the Ro'Meaves.
Trinity's eyes flickered open after a moment.
The guards shouted: "Hey!"
Kitty looked at the two before Matthew turned to look at them, holding Trinity close.
One guard docked an arrow as the other ran towards them.
Matthew chanted something in an ancient language, his eyes turning a pale blue color before the two suddenly disappeared.
Kitty breathed, the tension in her mind releasing. Thank gosh Vylad taught them that as well as their mother...
The guards turned to Kitty, enraged. Kitty's eyes widened before she fumbled through her bag.
They began to chase her, trying to get to her to capture her for distracting them and letting the twins get away. She started running, still sifting through her bag, trying to find an item to get her out of there.
"Get back here!" Dante shouted, the two beginning to close in on her.
She looked back at them before her hand found the spherical item. She smiled slightly, "Don't fail me now." She wound her arm up before chucking the ender pearl, the violet particles appearing on the trail that it was headed.
Kitty swung herself into a tree. The two growled as one shot his arrow at her. She gasped before she was teleported away, the arrow going through the area her heart would have been in.
She coughed, hitting the ground with a hard impact, grass getting stuck in her mouth. She sighed, "I seriously need to work on that landing..."
"Who's there..." A boy's voice said fearfully.
Kitty
I looked around, frowning. "Hello?" I asked out, looking around. Who was here..? It sounded like a familiar voice but, I couldn't place the name.
"Where are you?" I asked again.
"By the shore... Who's there!" The boy's voice called out again.
I started going to the sound of the water hitting the sand. I bit my lip, looking to find the source. Then I saw him.
A teenage boy was holding onto a teenage girl, the two looking almost identical. But the boy had an arrow in his leg. The girl was crying quietly.
I slowly started to walk over to them. "Hey you two..." I softly said.
They looked so familiar, it was driving me crazy!
The boy's head shot towards my direction, him holding the girl close. "Who are you- Kitty?"
I was surprised. "How did you know my name...?"
The girl turned her head before she got up and ran over, "Aunt Kitty!"
She engulfed me in a hug, surprising me. "H-Hey.." I softly said, noticing she started crying again.
I finally recognized them after a long moment... It was Matthew and Trinity.
"What's going on?" I softly asked as she grabbed my hands and pulled me over to Matthew.
"Daddy killed Mommy." She whimpered, her like a little child.
I bit my lip. "He killed her? Why would he do that?"
"Because... Because that woman told him to! And she has him wrapped around her finger so that she can rule and... and she is gonna marry him." Trinity said.
I almost laughed, "Your father wouldn't do that sweetie... I think you hit your head too hard..."
Trinity and Matthew looked at me. Matthew looked at his sister. "She's right... Loretta just wants Father and doesn't care of how she gets it."
I sighed, "You two are convinced of this, aren't you."
Trinity nodded, "An' I can prove it! Daddy would know Mom's real name! And Momma wouldn't try to activate my allergy!" She lifted her shirt slightly up, revealing a prick on her side, the prick a dark blue.
"Is that a blackberry stain?" I questioned.
Trinity nodded, "I'm allergic to them... Loretta pricked me with a thorn..."
I frowned before saying: "Who is this Loretta person?"
"She's the woman that... That was standing by Dad at the execution! An' she showed up at the gates yesterday! And she pulled a dagger on me early this morning!" Trinity said.
Rage suddenly hit me, "She did what!? And your father didn't stop her?"
Trinity looked at me. "Daddy wasn't awake this morning... but he keeps siding with her on everything."
"That... doesn't sound right..." I said softly.
Trinity looked at her brother. She bit her lip, "We need to get that arrow out though..."
I looked at Matthew softly before nodding. "Here... I can get it..."
Trinity went over and sat down by him as I set my stuff down, sitting in front of him. "Matthew? I need you to do something for me, sweetie."
Matthew looked at me quietly, "What is it...?"
"Hold onto your sister and think of something other than the arrow and the pain that is along with it..." I softly said.
He bit his lip. "That's hard..."
I smiled lightly, "I know it will be... but, just trust me... okay?"
He weakly nodded, Trinity giving him her arm. I laughed lightly before starting to pull out the arrow.
(pop)(pop)(lolipop skip)
It's been five days... two days until it's been a week.
The twins were asleep as I watched the village of Phoenix Drop atop a tree. The village was preparing for the wedding Trinity had mentioned before. I sighed, knowing this was not my brother-in-law. It was sad that... he was this blind at this moment.
The only people in sight that i could see were the guards. It was interesting, though, everything was put in place in a specific way.
Then, I saw someone. A dark, blackened figure, moving in a ghost like form, draped in black. It was hard to keep track but I slowly could find the figure easily. They quickly made their way to the gates before the figure disappeared from sight. I bit my lip before getting down and running to follow.
I knew the two were hidden well enough so that no one else would find them. The cloaked figure was quietly shutting the gate when I found them. I used one of the potions from my bag to keep silent and almost invisible.
They suddenly began to run. I started running after them, keeping up. It was run. Run for a while in a single direction before turning off into another direction before, the figure just disappeared at a hill. I frowned lightly, looking around. I slowly walked, trying to find out where they had gone before I heard a click under my feet and the dirt underneath give away, sending me plummeting down into the dim red-lit room.
Nether brick just surrounded the area, a few animal carcasses laid out around the area. I bit my lip, looking up, seeing a dark hallway. The black figure was walking down it. A second voice, a cough, rang out. I started following down the hall, looking around as it to find that person.
The hooded figure started to shake with a laughter. "Aww... Little Child got her head stuck in a knot!?"
I stopped as I heard a crunch and a bang.
A woman cried out as I slowly walked forward. I found the cloak on the floor, but the figure was a tall, black, skinny thing standing there, a red glow from the face.
I was still invisible so, I stood near it, looking into the cell in front of it.
A woman, her hair darkened from hair oil and dirt,was on the floor. Small little minion like things, looking exactly like the figure in front, hit the woman over and over again, the woman crying out. She kicked at one, killing it on spot, but the other grew, smacking her twice as much, making up for the dead minion.
"Stop it, now." The figure lowly said. "She's had enough for today." She chuckled.
The figure giggled before disappearing, leaving the tall figure and the woman alone with me.
"Aw... it's so adorable to see your husband forgetting about his children, loving me, forgetting you, and then getting ready to marry me in a few days." The figure chuckled.
The woman had her hands tied in front of her, her body skinny, lacking food. I bit my lip.
The figure held up an amulet, the black gem matching an amulet in side of the cell. "You have been watching this, correct? Hearing your two kids believe that you were executed, watching your baby girl be terrified of her own mother, your baby boy going against his father." She laughed, "Your family is falling apart, brat! What are you going to do about it!?"
The encaged girl looked up. My eyes widened as I knew who it was: Alaina...
"You won't get away with this... He still does love me... He will figure it out soon..." She coarsely said, her voice ragged.
"Oh, I think I already have, little one." She slowly morphed into a woman again, her features matching Alaina's other than having a slightly shorter figure. "Have fun rotting here until I come back after the wedding to finish you off."
I moved so I wouldn't be bumped into. I looked down the hall to see the cloak gone, but the woman slowly conjuring one up around her body. "Sweet dreams, Princess Corona."
She left after a few moments, leaving me alone with Alaina. The potion wore off.
Alaina's face was facing the ground, her body crumpled over itself. She started to quietly cry, the tears of her last hydration started to drip down her face and onto the dirty floor.
I bit my lip before going a calm way to show my presence. "You with the sad eyes..." I whispered, softly singing the line.
She seemed to hear it, her looking up. She saw me, her looking at me with tears glistening in her eyes.
"Don't be discouraged...." I softly sang again, looking at her. "Oh, I realize..."
She softly began to stand up.
"It's hard to take courage..." I walked towards the cell as she walked to the bars.
"I know who you really are... The world isn't right without you..." Softly, I reached through the cell. She slowly lifted both her hands up to meet my two hands.
Tears continued to roll down her cheeks. I smiled gently to her, "Alaina, it's me..."
"Kitty..." She whispered, her choking on the name. I smiled to her before I looked to the side. I saw the Key: a crowbar shape.
"Hang on..." I looked at her. "I'm getting you out of there."
She looked at me, almost afraid, "You can't... She'll kill you..."
"She's gonna destroy your family if I don't... It'll be okay." I smiled to her before grabbing the key and walking over to the cell door on the side. The key slowly slid in, a clicking sound ringing out. I bit my lip before Alaina looked at it softly. She looked at the amulet before grabbing it and slowly limping towards the open door, over to me.
I smiled softly at her. "Hang on..." I gently put her arm around my neck to give her a support to stand against. I grabbed my white amulet, it also having a second companion, but the twins had it.
"Hey... Matthew, Trinity, wake up you two..." I said softly, "Someone is here with me..."
"Aunt Kitty? What is it?" Trinity's voice said.
Alaina looked like she was extremely relieved, smiling weakly.
I smiled before looking at Lain and gave her the amulet to talk into.
"Hey honey..." Alaina softly whispered.
The other side had Trinity starting to cry, "M-Mommy?"
"Baby girl... please don't start crying or else I'll start crying..." Alaina weakly smiled, her eyes tearing up again.
I smiled, "Hang on. We'll be there before you can say Phoenix Drop." I said, softly pulling out another Ender pearl from my bag.
Alaina held onto the two amulets before I chipped off part of the ender pearl before throwing it, suddenly the two of us being teleported to the twins.
I sighed quietly, bringing Alaina carefully over to the twins.
"Mommy!" The two said, running over, half hugging her as they ran into her. I quickly got out of the way before I got trampled. Alaina gasped softly before hugging both of them, her eyes tearing up. "Oh my gosh, you two..." She whispered, holding onto them, her not wanting to let go of them ever again. She started crying, as well as both of the twins.
I went down to the small little camp to get things to clean Alaina's wounds off, hoping that nothing was too infected.
The kids led her over to the camp as I came back out, the two about a foot shorter than her but her being leaned over made it easier for them to help. I sighed quietly, coming over to help her out, "Alaina, what all exactly happened?"
Alaina coughed, looking at me softly. "Which part?"
"All of it..." I softly said, the twins helping her sit down.
"Well... She showed up at the gates, Garroth knew her and..." She stopped, looking at me. "She had a red hue to her eyes for a moment... And... that night... She... She took my place... Ever since... every other night she's come and beat me... telling me that he was better with her instead of me..." Alaina looked down as I cleaned off the cuts on her arms.
"She's getting married the day after tomorrow..." Trinity quietly said.
Alaina sighed. "I... I know..." She looked at the twins. "But... I have an idea."
"Stop the wedding?" Trinity said, her eyes lighting up.
Her mother smiled softly, "Mostly. But... all you two need to do is get back to the village and be at the wedding..."
"What? Why aren't you gonna stop it?" Trinity asked, confused.
Alaina smiled lightly before looking between the three of us. "I got an idea. And, let Loretta have her fun one last time. Then she can see that nothing can break us apart."
Trinity looked at me softly with a large grin across her face. She giggled. Matthew smiled. "Let's do it!"
"Alright. You two get some sleep tonight. You'll need it when you go home tomorrow.." I softly said, smiling at them.
The two whined before Alaina gently kissed their foreheads. They went back to the small hiding spot and went to sleep. Alaina watched them softly before looking up at me.
"Want to tell me this plan of yours?" I asked softly, sitting beside my sister-in-law-law (Since they both just married a Ro'Meave...).
Alaina softly nodded, "Yeah... You'll need to bring your husband with you though..."
I nodded lightly, "He can be here by morning."
She smiled, "Alright. This is what is gonna happen."
My body sat beside hers as she faced me as she told me the plan.
~~~---~~~

Matthew

Trinity gripped my arm lightly as we walked towards our home: Phoenix Drop.

We had confidence in mother's plan but... we were still skeptical of how we would be seen in the village.

"Mom said to talk to Rebecca..." Trinity reminded me, her looking up.

I quietly nodded. "Right... So get in... find Rebecca... then sit tight for tomorrow...?"

My older twin giggled. "Yup."

I smiled lightly. "Got it.. Though... I don't know why you're hiding behind me."

She shrugged. "You feel like the bigger sibling now."

My face had a spreading grin, glad I could be.

"Who goes there." Dante's deepened voice said.

Mom said that he was almost our dad but, I'm sure glad he wasn't.

Trinity and I ran to the gates. "Please! We need help." Trinity whimpered, the dirt from last night still on her.

"Someone is chasing us... they've been trying to take us!" My voice had fear spread across it.

How did I get this good at acting?

Dante looked at the other man there before opening the gate slightly, letting us slide in.

Dante sighed, "I'll alert the lord and lady... Come with me you-"

Trinity and I had already snuck away, us still able to hear him.

"Where did they go..." he said.

We both ran to home before stopping beside a tree.

"Garroth... It's okay. Tomorrow, it won't matter." The sticky voice of that woman came out.

"I know. I just feel like a horrible father for losing them..." Dad's voice said softly from our parent's room.

"It's not your fault. It's their fault for not listening to you... They don't deserve to be your kids if they do that." Loretta's voice said again, tart against us but soft to him.

Dad sighed softly, "You're right..." His voice had a smiled tone to it.

"Hey... We can start our own family after tomorrow... with kids that you actually had... instead of that rotten Alaina lying to you..." Loretta said.

He chuckled. "Alright. I'll look forward to it." I could see the smirk.

I looked at my sister. Her jaw had dropped before her face went sour, her shaking her head and sticking her tongue out.

Suddenly Dante ran into the house. It was probably bad we could hear everything.

"M'lord and m'lady... two children have snuck into Phoenix Drop. We need help to find them!" He said.

It was a minute before we saw the three people run off.

Trinity slowly crawled to the back door, opening it quietly. I quickly ran over, us going inside quietly and shutting the door.

"Who's there?" A familiar voice asked from the basement.

Trinity turned around. "Rebecca...? It's us..." She gently said before we both went downstairs.

We saw Rebecca and Zoey standing beside a table, sewing together a dress. Rebecca dropped a book before running over, hugging us. "You two are safe. Thank Irene..." She whispered, hugging us tightly.

Trinity and I smiled, hugging her back.

Zoey chuckled, "You two are the first people to excite her this week..."

Rebecca nervously giggled, letting go of them. "Sorry... I missed you two..."

Trinity nodded. "We missed you too..."

I bit my lip. "We need to tell you guys about tomorrow..."

Rebecca tilted her head. "What's going on tomorrow? Other than the wedding that really shouldn't exist..."

"Rebecca.." Zoey said.

"Sorry! But it's true..." Rebecca frowned before looking at us. "She had been under the spell until this morning."

Zoey nodded. "It's ridiculous... but, true."

We smiled before sighing. "We have a plan that Momma made. You guys are a part of it."

Zoey and Rebecca looked at us with a smile. "Alright, Prince and Princess Ro'Meave. What shall we do?"

Trinity and I looked at one another with a smile before Trinity started, "First, the four of us will need an outfit for that wedding."

~~~~____~~~~____~~~~
Rebecca
"What the heck!? This looks terrible." Loretta growled at I and Zoey.
Zoey calmly smiled, "This is exactly what you asked for two days ago."
"This is what I wanted two days ago. I hate it! Fix it!" She growled again.
I sighed softly, "You have two hours before the wedding. I'm sorry we aren't magical and can fix it just like that."
She rolled her eyes, "You two work for ME and my soon-to-be husband. You do as I say without argument! Fix it!"
Zoey and I looked at one another.
She growled. "Fine! Don't! If this wedding is horrible then it's all your fault!" She whined before storming off.
I sighed before glaring as she stopped at the stairs. "If you really did love Garroth, you wouldn't be so mad about the dress."
She whirled around, "What do you know. You're a little witch. FIX IT." She stormed off without another word.
I groaned, sighing.
If you wanted us to finish it, you wouldn't have left with it...
 After I heard the front door slam, the twins came out, dressed.
Trinity giggled quietly, twirling around lightly, wearing one of her mother's dresses, Alaina apparently saying to.
Matthew was wearing one of the suits we had made extra, him chuckling.
I smiled before looking at Zoey.
Zoey pulled out a white wedding dress from the closet, smiling lightly, "This is Alaina's wedding dress."
"Wait... weren't we supposed to send that to Alaina?" Rebecca said.
Zoey nodded, "Yeah. I'm sending it in a moment." She softly set the dress gently into a protective box before grabbing a potion. She chanted lightly to it before taking the now dusty liquid and putting it above the box.
I giggled, "This, is gonna be amazing." My head turned to the twins, "Your mother is a very interesting gal."
Trinity giggled, "She's creative and funny and amazing."
A small smile appeared on my lips before my feet walked towards Trinity, fixing her skirt. "My Irene, you look like Lady Alaina." Zoey gently said, walking over.
Trinity lightly looked at her, Zoey smiling, "The first time I saw her wear that dress when she first came to Phoenix Drop, made the idea of her seeing her daughter in this, one of the best moments of my life..."
Matthew grinned lightly, looking at Trinity before bowing playfully, "Princess Trinity Ann Ro'Meave."
Trinity smirked before turning to her brother, curtsying playfully, "Prince Matthew Issac Ro'Meave."
Zoey looked at me, "Miss Rebecca Rose Renae."
Smiling, I said, "Miss Zoey Aubrey Yaddrisil."
The four of us stood there before laughing.
Zoey and I went to change into our dresses, knowing we all would have to leave soon. I sighed quietly, the magenta color matched the wristbands I wore.
My mother like figure wore a forest green color, her blonde hair over her back.
We both smiled at one another before walking over to the kids.
Trinity was trying to teach Matt a dance, Matt stumbling everywhere. Trinity giggled before grabbing his hands. She traced the lines as he followed.
Zoey chuckled, "Come, you two."
Matthew and Trinity looked at each other. Trinity smiled before Matthew extended his hand.
She bit her lip before walking over to the twins. "Matthew, do this instead." She motioned for me to help.
We showed them how to do is sorta right, Matthew and Trinity changing it slightly for them to be comfortable.
Zoey laughed lightly before motioning for us all to follow. I looked around the room before sighing.
Alaina... You trust your plan to work well...
Kitty
I quietly walked, my hood off, Alaina having it. I smiled to myself, Vylad with his brother at that moment. This, is going to be amazing.
Though... I don't know why Alaina had gotten something earlier today... And she still hasn't told me what she's doing!
I saw the twins with Zoey and another elf, them all walking down to the docks.
Matthew and Trinity stopped and waited for me to walk over, the two grinning.
"Come on, Aunt Kitty!" Trinity smiled before I smiled.
"You two ready for this?" I asked, looking between them.
"Oh yeah. Ready to see the bad guy's butt get kicked." Matthew said. Trinity snorted, laughing.
A giggle erupted from my throat before the three of us walked over to Zoey and her friend.
The hour passed slowly. I got introduced to Rebecca and, our mini group was talking quietly to one another.
 My, now violet, amulet glowed in my hand lightly. I gently lifted it to my lips.
"You saved a seat for me, right babe?" Vylad asked, his goofy smile on his lips, I only knew because of his tone.
I giggled lightly, "Yeah. I'm with Zoey, Rebecca, and the twins."
"I see you." He chuckled, the thing seeming to echo.
"Uh... how so?" I laughed, confused.
I felt a soft tap on my shoulder, my voice echoing behind me. I gasped, jumping to see Vylad standing there.
I sighed, "You scared me." I laughed.
Vylad chuckled. "I know I did."
"Scared mammie good!" A little child said, making my smile grow. "Hey little man!" I squealed, picking up the boy, only three.
He giggled, looking at me, his eyes shining lightly, him holding a little toy in his hand. I giggled, lightly nuzzling my nose on his child face, him giggling in response.
My husband sat beside me, putting his arm around my waist, looking at Liam.
Liam was looking at the stuff in his hand, the toy a little stuffed rabbit he had gotten for Easter.
I sighed quietly before everyone had gone silent.
I looked up, as well as Vylad. I bit my lip before seeing Garroth standing at the front with the priest. It's starting...
Soft music played from Donna and Logan, the two in the front.
I looked back to see the bridesmaids walking slowly up with the bridegrooms, all eight of them very strange, none I had seen before in my life.
No one in our group had.
I quietly sighed, this starting to hurt.
After all of the bridesmaids and grooms had gone up and stood, I saw Loretta, the woman who had started this whole mess, begin to walk forward, her looking more like a picture than a woman.
Garroth had this dark tint to his eyes, his smiling gently as he looked at Loretta.
Loretta looked at me in the corner of her eye, smirking lightly.
She was scary... No wonder the kids got spooked when they told me of her.
It was a few moments before she stood beside Garroth, the priest in front of them.
The priest began the ceremony, saying the words that I knew too well. He had the boy with the rings and the girl with the flowers standing a few feet away.
The rings looked like they were disgusting, black with a red-tinted diamond on top of both.
Half way through the ceremony, the wind began to pick up.
I was so confused why Alaina wasn't here, and what Alaina had never told me what her plan was.
Then, a soft hum began to ring out, the hum in the wind.
The priest seemed to have heard it, him looking around.
Garroth stood there like a statue as Loretta whirled around. She growled lowly.
I noticed around us, everything seemed to be in a gray hue because of the cloud cover. It was odd to me...
The hum began to get louder.
I slowly turned around, confused as to what Loretta was looking at. Then, I saw it...
A cloaked figure was slowly beginning to walk forward. A gentle song began to be sung from the figure, it being a vocalized part.
Everyone seemed to hear it. Garroth never turned around in this before Loretta touched his hand. He turned, his eyes tinted a dark blue instead of the sky blue color.
"The love from the outside..." The voice gently sang, the figure stopping at the end, not passing the chairs.
Garroth looked forward, him seeming to hear it, his head tilting lightly.
"It was taken away..." The voice continued softly, the cloak hood seeming to move up as if their head went upward, though you couldn't see it.
I bit my lip, thinking this person was crazy.
Loretta looked panicked suddenly, her eyes turning a light gray.
"The magic has taken over..." The voice sang, the volume rising. Her hands were visible, I seeing for a split second white. I frowned in confused.
The imposter took a slow step forwards.
"But look forward and see..." The woman said, her voice a little louder, her sliding the hood off, her hair falling, some over her shoulders and the rest on her back.
A small smile started to grow.
Alaina...
I looked forward again and saw Garroth's eyes again. The darkness began to fade.
"That you can be freed..." She sang as she took a gentle step forward, color beginning to shine from the sun coming back, her hands gently holding the clasp on the cloak.
Vylad looked at me, surprise and shock over his face.
Garroth took a step forward, stepping off the small platform.
Loretta frowned, her eyes widening.
"With the words we said... The ones... That changed our lives..." Alaina sang again before the cloak fell to the ground.
She was wearing her wedding dress, her ring on her hand.
Garroth and Alaina slowly walked up to each other, everything silent for almost a minute.
Then, the thing that surprised me the most, and blew our group away...
The two softly sang three words together, Garroth's eyes fully back to normal: "I, love.... you..."
Loretta growled, her eyes suddenly glowing red.
Vylad and I suddenly stood, the two of us grabbing our swords, Liam sitting on Trinity's lap. Matthew already had jumped over the people in front of us, his sword in hand.
Everyone in the congregation screamed and shouted as the beings that were in the front changed, as well as Loretta.
I gasped, my eyes widening.
Their skin turned black, eyes turning all sorts of colors, their bodies growing taller and skinnier.
Loretta let out a dark laugh, her grinning wildly at them.
Garroth protectively grabbed Alaina, pulling her back with him. Alaina looked ahead. She looked at Loretta.
Others from Phoenix Drop began to stand, one by one.
The guards began to come, swords drawn, bows docked.
Alaina looked at the figure that once looked like Loretta. She slowly grabbed her bow from her back, an arrow attached to it.
Loretta laughed, "you think that puny thing will do anything!?" She shrieked, her voice was warbled.
Garroth looked at Loretta.
Loretta looked at him, "Come on baby, come back to me~"
Alaina backed up, her going out of Loretta's sight, Loretta focusing on Garroth.
Garroth glared at her again, "You're one tall bitch aren't you. Give up. You can't separate Alaina and I for long."
 I looked over, seeing Alaina by one of our friends. I slowly walked towards them, making sure none of the figures saw me do so.
We all stood there as Garroth and the figure stared each other down.
Alaina looked at me and our friend. "You ready you two? Just like old times?" Alaina said quietly to me and our friend.
Liza smirked lightly, "Heck yeah."
I smiled, "Any way we want?" I asked.
Alaina looked at me before smiling even more, "Kitty...." She had her pointer finger up in the air before pointing at me. "Smash."
I chuckled before looking forward. The three of us separated, Liza running to deal with the bridesmaids. I laughed loudly, my eyes looking at the bridegrooms before running forward.
Alaina smiled as she slowly went towards Loretta.
The figures.. The scream they made as they were being killed was incomprehensible til now. I bit my lip before I saw Alaina, her bow docked. Liza was beside her, backing up after killing the other figures. Loretta was the last one standing.
I aimed her bow. "hey Ender-brat!" Alaina shouted.
Loretta slowly began to turn around. Her eyes looked at Alaina just as she shot.
Liza aimed her bow in case but, she didn't need it.
The arrow hit dead center where her heart was
The blood curdling cry that came out of Loretta as a dark violet ooze came out around the wound.
Her eyes flickered between red, blue, and violet as her figure slowly crashed into the ground, her falling down, her body beginning to slowly disintergrate, turning to dust.
I sighed as Liza and I fell back, tired as heck from that sudden action.
Alaina was covered in a black substance, not entirely, but a little.
Garroth ran over to her, picking her up and spinning her around, it like a dream.
I smiled softly before slowly standing up. Liza giggled, "Little help..?" Liza asked.
I laughed lightly as I pulled her up.
"Kitty..."
"Liza..."
We both looked over, seeing Zane and Vylad run up to us, hugging the appropriate person.
I smiled softly, nuzzling into Vylad.
Liza and I looked at one another, smiling.
"Well..." A man's voice started, looking at us.
I, Liza, and Alaina looked over softly.
A man that I had seen come to Phoenix Drop, the name of Javier, was looking at us, "Though this was supposed to be an unholy wedding..." He looked at all of our three pairs, "It could be a place to renew all of your wedding vows, seeing their's has been eleven years, yours has been seven... and yours has been five..." He looked at Alaina and Garroth, then Liza and Zane, then finally at I and Vylad.
I looked at Vylad, "Would you want to?" I asked softly.
He chuckled, "That... would sound like an amazing idea."
I smiled softly before we turned to the man with a nod.
The other four nodded as well before Javier chuckled with a gentle smile.
He stood formally before us, us all before the congregation, "Ro'Meave brothers."
Vylad, Zane, and Garroth looked at the man.
"You have taken Kitty, Liza, and Alaina as your wives. Do you still promise, to care for them and to love them as if they are a part of your body, as once you were bonded in marriage, you two have become one?" Javier said.
Vylad looked at me softly, smiling, "I do."
Garroth gently touched Alaina's hand, him saying the same, and Zane did as well.
"Ladies." He said after a minute, "You have taken Vylad, Zane, and Garroth as your husbands. Do you still promise, to love them, to be their spouse, loyal and honest, show one another the side of a human to be loving and caring, to be as one?"
I looked lightly at Vylad before smiling, "I do." I whispered, gently gripping his hand.
"I do." Alaina said gently, her proud of her words.
"I do." Liza said as well, looking at Zane before at Javier.
Javier smiled, "Do you all take your spouse, and vow to be with one another for the rest of eternity, striving to bring one another to the ultimate place at the end of our lives on earth?"
Vylad and I gently gripped one another's hand, as did Garroth and Alaina, then Zane and Liza.
"We do." The six of us said in unison.
Javier gently nodded before facing the others. "I present, Mr. and Mrs. Vylad Ro'Meave, Mr. and Mrs. Garroth Ro'Meave, and Mr. and Mrs. Zane Ro'Meave."
Like every ending to newly weds, or, in our case, renewly vowed weds, it ended with our husbands kissing us.
