Here it is: my first real shot at a short story in quite sometime. It was nice to work through the rusty hinges of my writing brain, oil them up and hopefully produce something I can be satisfied with. 

It is an entry for the Redemption Island round of LayethTheSmackDown's Mad Mike's Revenge. A superhuman short, greater that 1,500 words, that follows the prompts in an appropriate fashion. 

I utilized the pictures, below, and two quotes from the mind of MadMikeMarsbergen (or Survivor) accordingly. 

The end result was Calypso.
