First Encounter

Chapter. 1

You gasped in wonder as a purple swirly portal stood in front of you, made with 16 pieces of obsidian and flint & steel you made..a portal.
You waved your hand around in the swirls and giggled, it didn't really feel like anything but it was something new in your boring little world, you thought in awe about what was on the other side..it couldn't be that bad..you put your full arm in, putting into consideration what you already had on you..
7 cooked fish
2 rotten flesh
11 pieces of bread
An almost broken sword
A pickaxe
And a bit of armor...
"I suppose that will suffice.."
You stared at the portal..it stared back, it seemingly called your name with its deep woos, and with that..you walked in.

Pigman's 3rd person POV
Mindless.
Mindlessly wandering, in an never ending cave, forever a flame and rivers overflowing with lava.. 'never known anything different though.. 'never known anything nice.

The supposedly mindless Pigman strode along the netherrack deep in thought, -smooth gold sword in hand, clean due to lack of use- he thought about how tiny his world is and how he knew it better than the back of his own hand, considering it was rotting away..he thought about how their kind was often portrayed as mindless and ignorant and dense..though...most were, he wasn't!
Them bloody ghasts literally have their heads in the clouds, those buggers are so dense they're practically floating!
The Pigman chuckled at his own thoughts, the chuckle was raspy and rough but he never knew any different so he never thought much of it.

Suddenly his thoughts were interrupted by a large gathering of Pigmen and shouts, he tore his head away from the netherrack ground which he looked extremely focused on and made his way to the abnormal grouping. Keeping his distance he could see purple particles floating around a hypnotic swirly portal with a dark purple outer rim, he stared as the purple swirls hypnotized him and waited as if he knew something was going to happen, he noticed a few piers losing interest in the magical portal and wander off, while some occasionally glanced over, watching from a distance. But he stayed and waited for..something, anything, to come out, he wanted to see it first.
———
You open your eyes, you were confused for a moment but then it all hit you. You took a step forward and the heat was overwhelming you almost panicked when you realized you had to adjust to the hot air that you were forced to breath, leveling your breathing you snapped to your side as you heard terrifying snorts and groans, there were freighting decaying pig-man creatures wielding long golden swords, chipped and bloody.
It appeared that they were laughing about something...at least they weren't hostile at the moment, their groans and snorts were far from comforting but they didn't notice you so you just continued to scan the area, you noticing lava oozing from the ceiling into large lava pools in the ground, the floor appeared rough and bumpy, you winced at the thought of walking in this place bare foot, your eyes kept wandering until they landed on another pair,
a decaying Pigman's.

Their eyes- or eye..met yours one eye socket completely empty, it was sitting on a large rock that merged into a cliff and it's distorted face displayed all kinds of emotions, it's single eye was wide and glimmering with joy and surprise. You wondered if you should try to communicate with the creature but before you even had the chance to try and befriend it, the Pigman slipped away behind it's boulder with the only sound being of their sword dragging across the dark mysterious ground. You thought about the particular look that Pigman had in it's eye before finally deciding to walk forward, catching a few glares and a few stared as you walked through the other Pigmen, you continued on through the seemingly never ending cave as some places required towering to get to, you didn't mind, it was just unusual..

You look far into the distance and notice a dark fortress of some kind, guarded by lava and fire, this wasn't the most safe place, nor peaceful, but there was a sick kind of beauty in it.
You grin at the beautifully twisted scenery in front of you, you began to approach-

SCREEEECH

Something blew up behind you knocking you off your feet as well as removing nearly half your health, you stood up quickly, adrenaline rushing, you turned around and looked at the ghost like monster that created the noise, it was high up in the air floating above a huge lake of lava, taunting you, floating around side to side screeching and throwing fire balls at you, after trying to dodge a few of its hits you decided to jump behind a boulder and hide there till the ghastly creature lost interest.

Once gathering your thoughts you considered going back home, but that was when it hit you..you didn't know where home was, you anxiously began looking around for any possible sign of the portal, or some of your cobblestone, but there was none..
"..."
It was awfully quiet..though you thought that last time, this was an unsettling feeling, like you felt like something was watching you.
". . ."

"Enough of this."
You stood up and approached the fortress.
it looks abandoned.
You confidently moved closer.
There's most likely nothing in there.
You knew you where lying to yourself, but you kept walking anyways.
"What could possibly go wrong?" You spoke out loud, not expecting to get a response.

"'lots of things actually."
You jerked your head around with a small yelp, freighted by the response, it was the Pigman you saw on the bolder, the one that was staring at you.
His voice was low and gruff, his lungs were most likely filled to the brim with ash, he had a thick Australian accent as well that coated his words.

You stared at each other as he walked up beside you, as he approached, it's as if he grew taller each step he took closer, once he was beside you he looked down and noticed you trembling a bit, he only chuckled.

"Di'nt mean to scare ya, love."

You balled your hands into a fist in order to stop shaking, but unfortunately you only managed to get your whole fist to shake, and then you finally registered him calling you "love" you wanted to feel disgust towards this creature who was getting all cutesy with you..but all you could end up feeling was flustered.
You simply stared, he chuckled again.

"Weren't ya headed toward the fortress?" He pointed in its direction with a grin on his face, his golden sword resting on his shoulder.

You looked in the direction he was pointing and tilted your head down a bit, a dark crimson brick met with the slightly lighter ground you where standing on, it appeared to keep fire lit forever.

"Yeah, I was.."

You looked up and forward into the darkness, the fortress was extremely intimidating with the only sources of light inside coming from lava or fire, the feeling of going in there without torches made you feel anxious.

"..I was just about to go in there."

You took a step forward onto the fortress platform, gripping your sword tightly incase you had an encounter with a mob, the feeling of dread looming over as you descended further into the dark, unknowing of what would come next, far behind though something followed, and just far enough for you not to notice.

As you progressed a bit further in you got calmer, you were dragging your left hand against the rough crimson bricks, wandering aimlessly, hoping to find more treasure, you took one more left turn and..three tall and slender skeletons snapped their neck at you in sync, with zero hesitation they began chasing you.

They were tall and midnight black, ashes were trickling off of their burn bones almost like magic, their mouth oozed a black substance as they swiftly moved closer.

You ran faster, you could of maybe took on one but three?! You looked up ahead and your stomach dropped as you noticed your path was coming to an end, you checked the walls, you pasted up all the hallways.
DAMMIT!
You heard them, you couldn't stop running,

Clickity clack click-

You looked ahead, there was just a small chance you could the jump across the wide ravine.

Click clack-

You saw the edge,
You took a deep breath,
And you jumped..
