Part 2: Chapter 3- Decisions and Understanding

"There's always more to things you see," Swoop sighed.

"But why?" I asked, pushing away the butterflies in my stomach.

"Life is never simple," he responded, walking away stiffly.

Downcast and worried, I left the library.

Back at home, I wasn't having the greatest of dreams either. I was haunted by the strangest, most unfamiliar, and deadly dreams that I have ever experienced.

I wiped off my sweat as my dog let out a whine. "I'm okay," I lied, patting it. "Go to sleep."

My dog barked, as if he didn't believe my words, but he went back to his nest and lay down there.

I couldn't sleep. My mind was heavy with thoughts of my dreams, and not only that, I had thoughts of what would happen to Rose.

We were kind of friends, but she had been busy because Caron began to teach her about many things.

It's been a long time since we've talked too, I sighed. Even if I really wanted to save her, I will probably die, and she will die soon after. How can I do it?

I stared at my enchanted diamond sword. If Rose was my sister or something, would it have influenced my decisions?

A loud knock at the door surprised me. "Who will be still awake at this time of the night?" I mumbled to myself, opening the door.

"Oh, it's you," I spoke warily to the person that stood at ny doorway. "What do you want?"

He tilted his head slightly. "What do you want?"

"What?" I blinked in confusion.

"Nothing or something?" he asked flatly.

I didn't reply. He looked carefully inside my house and his gaze fell on my diamond sword.

"Do what you believe is right," he said. "Sometimes, it will be hard."

"It is hard," I pointed out.

"You don't remember," his words confused me yet again. "You had once known my name, what you have done, good or bad."

"What is your name then?" I asked.

"My name is Kevin," he replied. "You were one of the few who knew. Now, you are the only one who can stop the darkest heart."

"Do what you have to do," Kevin said, walking off, leaving me feeling troubled.

"I have to do it," I whispered to myself. Then I realised.

"If I didn't do it, I wouldn't forgive myself."

Eyes widening, I thought, I know what I must do.

I grabbed my sword as I went out of my house. My dog was sleeping as I cast a remorseful look at it. "I'm sorry," I whispered.

I found myself quickening my pace as I half ran to the library. Swoop was writing something at a table.

"Where do I go to find Herobrine?" I asked.

"He resides in a castle, about 60 blocks north from the Kingdom," Swoop replied, not taking his eyes off the sheet of paper he was writing on.

"One more thing," he said before I could leave.

"What is it?" I said.

"Remember who you are," he spoke seriously.

"I don't understand," I blinked in confusion.

"You will," Swoop said calmly, "soon enough."
