Grian is an amazing Minecraft youtuber (most of his videos are about building). He just recently made a video where he spawned in a random world on survival, and had to build the best house he could for the first day. He only had 10 minutes to do so, and this is what he made:

(On the inside, there is a cobblestone floor and a crafting table) I'm sure he could've done better, but he was also asked to build a dirt house, so he decided to do both at the same time.

He challenged everyone to try it, and this is what I made:

I spawned next to a forest biome and a mountain biome with lots of sheep and stone and wood around, so I had more resources than him. I think I did pretty good. And it's harder than you think.
