Part Three: Paddy
Paddy speaks - The Fields
Hello, my name is Paddy. I was named after the vast fields of wheat I once lived in.
Back then, I lived with a group of other wolves, including a beautiful wolf named Flower. The field used to be tended by an elderly human, who passed on not long after I was born.
The wheat became overgrown and untouched for many years. It attracted other animals such as cows and pigs to the field and we would take advantage of it to hunt them for food.
It was a peaceful life and to top it off, on one side of the field there was a wonderful sunset.
One day, after having my usual breakfast of pork, the sky became surrounded by dark clouds. The clouds were spread all across the sky, blocking out most of the sun.
Suddenly, I heard helpless yelps. I rushed back to the wheat fields and I realised that zombies were attacking my friends.
I joined in the fight. The zombies fought mercilessly, with the intention to kill. They were not normal zombies. They wore iron armour and wielded iron or even diamond swords.
The once golden brown field became stained with blood as the fight dragged on. One by one, the friends I knew my whole life fell and they never got up.
I allowed anger to fuel my strikes, killing off a few zombies but even more replaced the ones I killed. Then came the final straw.
A zombie wielding a heavy diamond sword struck Flower down. The pretty young wolf let out an anguished yowl which would haunt my thoughts forever.
Pure rage flowed through me and I attacked like a mad wolf, not caring the deep slashes the zombies inflicted on me. The pain of their swords could not compare my broken heart.
Finally, I collapsed, too tired and broken to fight anymore. The zombie that killed Flower walked towards me and raised its diamond sword for a devastating blow. I could only brace myself for the pain.
No attack came. I opened my eyes and to my surprise, Frost blocked the zombie's attack with her own diamond sword and killed the remaining zombies who dared to stay. She saved my life.
Breathlessly I stared at her. Even though Frost looked particularly tired, she bent down and stuck out her hand invitingly.
She asked if I wanted to come with her. I looked back at the damaged wheat field, my home. All my friends, except the ones who fleed successfully, were dead. I had nothing left.
With a grateful bark, I accepted and I was brought in to meet my new friends, Ender and Pancer. Stripes came to our family later and I would later have an adventure of a lifetime with the tuxedo cat.

The adventure Paddy was talking about is my book called Sunset. I wouldn't recommend you to read it because it's currently under editing.
