Zane X Reader (Part 3)

A/N - Okay, maybe leaving last part on an open ending was not the best idea. So by popular request, the final installment of Zane X Fangirl!Reader.

-------

It had been a week.

A WEEK.

Since the incident and you couldn't get your mind off it. It lingered in your mind every time you were doing anything. Even watching anime was distracting to you, especially since Zane didn't want you to spoil him on any of it so you were basically forced to watch together.

Okay, you enjoyed it but still, you usually tried to not act like an idiot in front of him.

Right now, you guys weren't watching anime but a role play of a popular game that was alike to anime. The two of you were addicted to it and the characters felt so unrealistic that you could never relate them to any of the people on the street at all. They were too different from each other.

Currently, you were on Episode 90 and was screaming at the blonde dude for being such an idiot and the new antagonist being such a little piece of a 4 letter word. You were literally jumping on the couch in blasphemy.

"BUT HE LOVES HER AND THAT'S HIS BEST FRIEND!" You ranted to Zane. "IT'S ONE BIG MISUNDERSTANDING!"

Zane shrugged it off. "Kisses mean everything to people. It moves the story along, sails ships, and screws up the development of romance...sometimes."

You looked at him who seemed to be looking at the screen with a cold hard stare. Realizing you were in that situation 7 days, 2 hours, 3 minutes ago, of where you guys were about to kiss, you shifted uncomfortably at the screen, looking as the train wreck unfolded in front of you.

"Yeah, but you know, kisses sometimes leave an impression on the audience," you countered, somewhat hurt from his comment, "You know...that's how most stuff ends up happening...a kiss."

Zane looked at the screen, donning a light scarlet color over his pale face. "(Y/N)..." He shook his head once more for good measure. "Oh look, his love interest is now calling for him, isn't that horrible?"

You shifted once more in your seat again.

Yeah...horrible.

-Season 2 : Episode 9-

"And now he forcefully pushes the girl so they kiss!" Zane said, sinking back into his couch after he flailed his arms in anger.

"To be fair," you tried to reason, "He's stuck in a dimension where he doesn't know how much time has passed and he finally sees the love of his life so obviously he needs to do that. It's just a heat of the moment event."

Zane looked at you, analyzing your very words. "When did you become so aware?"

You shrugged half-heartedly, "You make it seem like I don't listen to all your rants and actually process what you mean."

"Look," he turned away to put his focus back on the screen, "I'm just saying this makes romance feel so overrated. Maybe that's why I choose to resist it."

Before you could return the comment, your phone dinged with a certain sound indicating that Aphmau had just texted you. You pulled out your phone, seeing Aphmau's text on the screen but discarding it for a bit to scroll through your endless social media notifications. When you were finally done scanning them, you scrolled back up to her text.

Aphmau

Hey! How's anime night with Zane?

You texted back, carefully wording your text to make sure nothing confused her.

(Y/N)

It's going alright. We're watching the roleplay you told us to watch. As usual, he's on a tangent about romance in another series once more.

Just now.

You placed your phone on the arm rest of the couch, feeling the vibrations of the phone resonate throughout your seat.

Aphmau

HE'S JUST JELLY.

Just now.

Aphmau

HE CAN'T BE SERIOUS.

Just now.

Aphmau

MY SHIP CAN'T SINK.

Just now.

Sighing, you quickly texted back to stop the spam. Zane knew that Aphmau was texting you rather rapidly indicating that something was wrong. He turned to you, unbeknownst to you until he called your name.

"(Y/N)," he called to you, making you whip your (H/C) hair to face him. He caught wind of it, catching a few strands in his face, making him glare slightly. "What's up with Aphmau? Is it Aaron?"

You saw the glint of a shiny metallic item, you shrugged it off, knowing how sane you were. "Put away the knife, Chara. It isn't about him, we're just talking about....Donald Trump."

He raised an eyebrow. "Donald Trump? Are you guys making fun of his hair again?"

"Y-Yeah!" You lied, trying to deter him from the fact you guys were talking about him. "His hair is just so fun to make fun of that we do it all the time."

"Alright," he said, turning back to the screen, looking at the protagonist's other love interest stare at her after a certain kiss with her love interest she had just kissed.

You looked back at your phone, open to the conversation Aphmau and you had together.

Aphmau

A: I'LL COME OVER THERE AND FIGHT HIM MYSELF FOR BEING A BAKA!

(Y/N): To be fair...you were the one to interrupt the kiss.

A:......

A:.....

A: THAT'S BESIDE THE POINT. MY SHIP NEEDS TO SAIL.

(Y/N): Well, your ship didn't sail due to you.

A: DON'T GIVE ME SASS YOUNG LADY.

(Y/N): YOU AREN'T MY MOM!

(Y/N): Wait....isn't Zane your "dad?"

A: .....crap. That makes you...

(Y/N): Let's not talk about it.

A: Alright, wait one second.

You questioned the last text then heard Zane make a questioning noise. With that noise, you looked up with wide (E/C) eyes. The screen had an obviously photo shopped picture of you and Zane kissing on a....beach? It looked super fan fiction-esque and cliche.

Burying yourself in embarrassment, you hid your now beet red face. Zane seemed to blushing too because now his mask was now pulled higher on his face.

Your phone buzzed again, making you turn it over. With a glaring expression, you looked at Aphmau's new text.

Aphmau

Zianna's idea, not mine.

Just now.

(Y/N)

YOU GOT HIS MOM ON IT?!

Just now.

You were done. Extremely done.

You were wallowing in embarrassment and your face felt so heated. Your best friend was currently trying to get you and your crush together, it was so reminiscent of a fanfiction....maybe a one-shot.

"(Y-Y-Y/N)," Zane stammered, sounding like Garroth, which was something they never usually had in common. Garroth's voice was quite abrasive while Zane's voice was meant for a villainous character. He was turned to you, leaning closer to your face with his mask pulled down.

He had nice lips...too bad he hid them all the time.

Gulping, you mimicked his movements once more like last time. Turning your head so that your noses wouldn't bang against each other's.

Don't let the doorbell ring.

Don't let the doorbell ring.

Don't let the--

RING!

OKAY, WHO BROKE DOWN WALL MARIA AGAIN?!

In an rather quick movement, Zane connected his lips with yours, slamming into your lips harshly. You were taken a little aback. Your eyes opened wide but slowly you let yourself fall into the kiss, closing your eyes, wrapping your arms around his neck, closer to you.

Little did you know that outside the door, Vylad and Garroth were outside. Garroth, being impatient as usual, was tapping his foot against the patio rather harshly. Vylad was just playing Neko Atsume on the phone.

"VYLAD!" Garroth whines at Zane's door, ready to tear it down. "HE'S TAKING FOREVER!"

Vylad, not looking up from his phone, mumbled. "He's probably taking a shower or something. Just wait for him. Mom's gonna kill us if we rush her little ZuuZuu."

Garroth, who wasn't satisfied with that answer, moved to a window that looked straight at the living room. His eyes widened when he saw both of you kissing. "OH MY IRENE!"

He hurried back to the door, shaking Vylad, making him almost drop his phone. Vylad, finally stable, held Garroth's shoulder in return. "What do you need?!"

Garroth motioned to the window, making Vylad sigh. The younger brother looked through the glass and whistled. "Zane's got a little girlfriend over! Is that...OH MY IRENE! IT'S (Y/N)!"

"INNOCENT (Y/N) IS KISSING OUR BROTHER?! WE NEED TO BREAK THE DOOR!"

"GARROTH, N-"

The door busted open on the two of you, making you guys break the kiss. Garroth, with the debris of Zane's now shredded door, heaved slowly. When he finally grabbed enough energy, he used it to mutter a sound then collapse.

Vylad came in, looking at his now fallen brother, sighing. "You never learn. You seriously never"--He looked up at both of you--"To be fair, my ship sailed."

"Mine did too," you muttered under your breath.

Zane looked at you, his mask now back over his mouth. Even with that, you could tell he was smiling.

Guess his ship sailed too.

A/N - DA END. NO MORE PARTS TO THIS. IT FINISHED WITH A NICE PRETTY BOW. YOU SEE THAT SHIP GOING TOWARDS THE SUNSET? YEAH, IT SAILED. Anyways, that was fun to do. I really like this idea of a fangirl reader because I've never seen any of them before. So, I hoped you all enjoyed! Buh-bye!
