Gene X Reader
"You're going to see her?"
Zenix asked me as I speed walked through the hallways.
"Yes, I need her for something."
"She won't like that, you know how mad she is at you."
"I don't care, I need answers."
"It's all fun and games, till she obliterates you from existence~" he sang, adding a chuckle. I rolled my eyes, continuing down the corridors.
"She can't use her powers, I'll be perfectly safe."
"Safe from what?" Sasha joined in.
"He's gonna go see (Y/N)."
"Wow, how stupid is he?"
I got to a door, shooing Zenix and Sasha away. I pushed it open, a large spiral staircase descending into darkness. I grabbed a redstone torch, carrying it as I journeyed down. I felt the air become colder the further down I went. I heard the sound of familiar giggles. I got to another door, hesitating.
"Oh, Gene, don't be so nervous," I heard her speak.
Her powers were so annoying to me. She could read minds, and could escape her body, like a ghost, and venture to a certain point. Her ghost form can only leave her main body for so long, and can only leave so far. And she can't do anything but see in her ghost form.
They were the only two powers we've yet to contain. All the fire she can use was detained, and all the ice she could create was controlled by us.
I opened the door, and saw her in her cage.
The cage descended from the ceiling, suspended in mid air, and you couldn't see the top where it was hanging. Her hands were cuffed, chains holding them in the air. She sat on her knees, looking down so her (H/C) locks hid her face.
"It's been so long since I've had any visitors," (Y/N) looked up, her tired (E/C) eyes burned into mine.
"(Y/N), we need to talk."
There was a ring of earth sticking out of the wall, like a pathway circling her. I walked on it, walking around her in her jail.
"What about? Oh wait! Let me guess! You need another favour? You want some of my powers? Or are you finally willing to talk about you literally stabbing me in the back?"
"I only stabbed you once, besides, I knew you'd live."
"And if I didn't?"
"Then I wouldn't be able to live with myself," my voice was barely above a whisper, but easy to be heard in the almost empty cavern.
"I trusted you..."
"Well, you can't blame me for the stupid mistakes you made, now can you?"
She stayed silent.
"I'm not here to talk about our messy love, I'm here for answers."
"Messy love?" She laughed dryly, unamused, "so is that what you're calling it now?"
"What do you know on the current positions on the relics?"
"Gene, what makes you think I would have a clue?"
"Because, your powers are stronger than you let people believe, and you always somehow know things even in this secluded....cell. So what do you know?"
"I don't know anything on the relics."
"Still the most adorable liar, huh, (Y/N)?" I smirked.
"Now is hardly the time for flirting, don't you think?"
"Tell me the truth."
"I already gave you the same answer I gave Zane."
"Zane? Isn't he...?"
"Dead? Yeah...and so's Aaron, if that's what you wanna believe."
"What do you mean?"
"Oh, they won't be living for much longer, but they're not dead. But you aren't here for that, you're here about the relics."
"And you gave me the same answer you supposedly gave Zane, and if I know you, then you lied through your teeth. Because you can't give someone information if there's nothing in it for you, right?" I locked my hands behind my back as I paced around her cell, glancing at her occasionally.
"Precisely, so what can you give me to convince me you're...worthy, of such valuable information?"
"Freedom."
Her eyes widened, a small gasp escaping her parted lips.
"In fact...I've got the key to your cage...right here," I pulled the key out, swinging it around on my finger.
Her smile widened as our gazes aligned. She rushed to the door of the cage, as far as her chains would let her.
"Aphmau holds Irene's relic, Ivy did hold Shad's but it was passed to Aphmau because Ivy was killed by a wyvern. Garroth has a relic too, the one Zane used to have. It was named the Ro'Meave relic, but it's actually named after a divine warrior, the others lay dormant, yet to have holders," she blabbed, trying her hardest to get to the edge of the cage. I walked up the small pathway, leaning my face in between the bars and smiling venomously at her.
"Thanks, babe," I whispered, holding the key in her vision. Her eyes held immense hope, but it soon was replaced by fear. She had just realised her mistake.
Trusting me.
"One other thing....I lied," I tossed the key down into the dark abyss below her cage. Her eyes lit with flames of anger, and the room became hot.
"You.....son of a-"
"It's been nice, I'm off."
I started to back away, making sure to watch her meltdown. She grabbed the chains that had her cuffed, and somehow used her fire to melt the metal. It dripped oozing drops of warm metal onto the floor of her cage. Boiling tears started to roll down her face as she ripped the chains off. I started to panic and headed for the door, but ice grabbed my feet. Her ice was weird, it wasn't cold, it was hot, and it seemed to burn like fire, but it never melted.
I looked back at her in panic, she gripped the bars of the cage, melting them so they were soft and easy to bend. She pulled them apart, enough to fit through. She put her fist behind her, it spat fire, moving her cage so she could jump on the platform.
(Y/N) removed her ice and pinned me to the wall.
"I trusted you, again. I thought you changed. But you haven't, not. One. Bit."
"Why didn't you do that sooner?" I questioned curiously. She growled and grabbed my neck, but I only smirked, which provoked her.
Soon, shadow knights came in, grabbing her and restraining her. I had told them earlier if I was gone for a specific amount of time, to come down and help. There were about eight to hold her, and three more to help push her to a new cage. She kept cursing and shouting, struggling in their grasp. I left, closing my eyes and letting out a sigh.
I'm sorry.
Yeah right.
I am, (Y/N), truly.
Shut up, Gene, I regret meeting you.
I love you.
Bullshit
She was out of range, and our telepathic connection broke.
I'm sorry...

A/N Yes. I may have wrote this awhile ago now, the history and the facts of the relics is a little iffy, so don't hold me responsible for that.
Anyways! Hi! I'm doing that writing thing that I do, thought I would do a Gene X Reader cause Gene is very attractive, and single. So yay.
I love you all devils, and if you aren't one of my devils, then I still love you. Cause you took time out of your day to read this.
