Garroth x Laurance

This is definitely one of my worst oneshots. I'm sorry for having you read this piece of trash. *hides*

"I'll Be Waiting"

Song: Kodoku na Heaven - Hanayo Koizumi (Yurika Kubo)

=============

3rd POV

"Hey, Laurance." Garroth took a glance inside of Laurance's room. "You ready, yet? I already got the boat hooked up, and all of the things inside of the car."

"Yeah." Laurance smiled, and slipped on his flip-flops. "I'm pretty excited. First time on a boat, y'know?"

Garroth nodded. "It's my first time having someone on the boat. Usually it's only myself driving and riding the boat."

"Not even Zane rode on the boat before?"

"Nah. Not really interested in the water and sun, despite me being able to add the roof on the boat." The blonde smiled. "Anyways, we'd better get going before it gets too hot."

Laurance grabbed his phone, and sunscreen, and proceeded to the truck with the boat attached to it along with Garroth. "It may still get hot later on, though."

"It isn't going to get as hot as me, though."

"Smooth." The brune nodded before getting into the truck, and sitting in the passenger's seat. "Now, hurry up Garroth. I want to get to the river as soon as possible!"

When Garroth finally tied the last rope to the dock at the river, Laurance attempted to get on the cruiser.

"I'm scared, Garroth." The brown-haired man admitted. "What if it takes off without you? What if I fall in the river? It's really deep... oh. What if I-"

"Shh, relax Laurance. The ropes will make sure the boat doesn't take off. And, if you'll fall... I'll come rescue you, m'lady." Garroth winked, making his friend settle down a bit.

Laurance slipped off his flip flops, and threw it gently in the boat before going in himself. He sat himself in the passengers's seat before giving his blonde friend a thumbs up.

"Alright, do not be startled when I do this." Garroth warned, starting to untie the ropes from the dock.

"What are you doing...?"

"This." Garroth untied both ropes attached to the boat and the dock, and then jumped on the backseat of the boat, landing on his back.

"..." Laurance was silent.

The blonde sat up, and put the ropes in the boat. "We're alive! Hold on, let me just pull in the bumpers and put up the roof. After that, then we'll be set to go."

With a bit of teamwork, the pair was able to set off in less than 5 minutes.

"Need a life jacket?" Garroth offered.

"Nah, I can swim."

Garroth started up the engine. "If you say so..."

Laurance watched in amazement as his roommate began to steer the cruiser around the other boats, and went through a secluded part of the river.

"This part of the river is usually for people to relax, swim around, and just enjoy the water. No fishers go here." The cerulean-eyed man stated.

"Oh. Are we going to swim?"

"I will. You can, if you want to. I also have an anchor, so the boat doesn't drift away without us, in case you were worried about that."

"Okay..." Laurance nodded. "Should I put on my sunscreen on right now, or later?"

"If you want, I could help you with putting it on."

"No! We are not repeating what happened on the island vacation!"

"Aww, why not, Laurance~Senpai? Garroth~Chan wants to help you with your lotion." Garroth began to laugh maniacally.

"I'm going to the front, to escape from you and your madness!" And, Laurance was not lying. He grabbed all of his stuff in one scoop, and moved to the front of the boat. He applied his sunscreen there.

"I am so lonely! I have nobody! I'm on my ow-"

"Shush, Gar Gar. I need to concentrate." Laurance shushed.

"What do you need to concentrate for?"

The brown-haired man was silent for a few seconds. Then he breathed in through his nose loudly, snorting a little in the process. "I CAN FEEL THE SPIRITUAL POWER FROM THIS RIVER."

"...What?"

"Okay, I'm good now." Laurance closed the bottle of sunscreen. "Need some, bro?"

"Nah, I'm good. And, good thing you put on your lotion so soon." Garroth stepped on the breaks of the boat, and got up from his seat. "I found a good spot to swim." The blonde lifted up the door to a floor compartment that held all of the boat materials, and got out the anchor along with the rope attached to it. He carried it to the front of the boat. "Be careful, as the water may splash on you." Right after he said that, Garroth dropped down the anchor, and slowly started to left it down to the bottom of the river.

"It's pretty deep, huh?" Laurance questioned, seeing how far the metal anchor is going down.

"Yeah." Garroth tied the rope to a random handle at the front after the anchor reached the bottom. "And, we're all set to go swimming."

"How about towels? We didn't bring any-"

"I got a solution for that." Garroth smiled. "Can you move to the other side, first?"

Once Laurance moved, Garroth lifted up the cushion of the seat the brune was sitting on to reveal a compartment with towels.

"Always got to be prepared." The blonde said, and took out two folded up towels from the compartment before closing it.

"What else do you have on this boat that I don't know about?"

"A cooler, a built in radio, many more storage spaces, and some spare flip flops in my size, in case it goes overboard."

"What... how?"

"Magic." Garroth winked.

"Pfft, I'm going swimming, now." Laurance took a towel from Garroth, and put it on the back seat. He took off his shirt, before jumping in the river. "Ahh, it feels so nice in here."

"That's what she said." Garroth added, taking off his own shirt, and slipping in the cool water. "Oh my... it is nice here."

"See? I told you." Laurance laid down on his back, still floating on the water. But, little by little, he was floating away from Garroth.

"My love! Please do not leave me alone!" Garroth called out, when Laurance was still close by.

Laurance stopped floating on his back, and started to swim back to his bro. "My love?"

"Yes, m'lady. Do you want to be called something else?"

"Psh, shut up Garroth."

"I will shut up, just for you, my love."

They both were quiet after Garroth's comment, and ended up laying down on their backs on the water. Though, it was a relaxing and peaceful type of quiet.

Garroth stopped laying on his back. "I'm going back on the boat to eat something."

"Alright, I'll stay here."

Once Garroth was on the boat, he grabbed a bag of chips, and sat near the back on a towel to admire his brown-haired crush. One might even say that he was staring creepily at his friend. Though, that didn't matter to him. All that mattered to him, was Laurance. But, there was always one thing that confused him. Didn't the blonde's actions showed that he loved Laurance? If so, then why did he never noticed how Garroth felt towards him?

Laurance wasn't aware of the stares that watched his every movement. That is, until he decided to join Garroth on the boat. He saw his bro averted his eyes when he stared at him. "Hey, can you hand me the-"

"Yeah." A towel was thrown at his chest, and Laurance wrapped it around his waist.

"Thanks. I'm going in the front to eat."

"Then I'll be alone!"

"At least you won't rub my lotion on me." Laurance smiled, and waved despite only traveling a few feet.

"All of my friends left me." Garroth muttered. "Alright, we're going to drive... is it drive? I don't know. We're going to boat around the river for a while. It's nice right now." He called out, afterwards.

Laurance gave a thumbs up, and then the pair were driving their boat to the only direction they were able to go to. Gravity was a thing, so the front of the boat was lifted up, while the back... well, stayed at the bottom. Because, physics.

While boating around the river, Laurance had fell asleep, his towel like a blanket while his head rested on the provided cushion on the leather seat.

When the two reached quite a distance from the docks, Garroth decided to stop, and realized that his friend was sleeping.

Despite not wanting to wake him up, Garroth decided to relax in the front with Laurance. Not bothering with putting down the anchor, he laid on the opposite leather seat, and stared at the light blue eyed man. His heart fluttered, and he had looked away from being flustered.

"Dammit, why does he have to be so cute?" Garroth whispered to himself, his face burning red.

"No matter... he probably doesn't like you."

"Doesn't seem like it, anyways."

"Laurance is probably straight, so..."

"And, I'm talking to myself again."

Garroth face palmed because of his actions. He had decided to no longer act like a stereotypical Japanese school girl, and take Laurance and himself back home. He took one more glance at him before going back to the steering wheel, and driving the boat back to the docks.

Laurance woke up in someone's arm. Despite waking up, he still had his eyes closed. At first, he thought that he was getting kidnapped. Then, he realized that kidnappers doesn't carry their hostages like how he is being carried at the moment. And then he realized that he wasn't a kid anymore, so he was being mannapped instead of being kidnapped.

After he realized that he wasn't getting kidnapped, his mind automatically went to the last person he had socialized with.

Oh...

He knew that Garroth was always teasing him; making flirtatious jokes and comments to him every once in a while. But, he never took any mind to it.

Unless this was the only way to transport him from the cruiser to the car.

Then, he had thought that he'd overthought the whole situation.

That is until he heard the sound of a car door opening.

After that sound, he was placed on the seat, as well as the seat belt being put on for him. Laurance expected the door to close shut after the seat belt was buckled. But, something else happened before that.

A pair of lips was placed on Laurance's cheek.

"I know you're asleep, but just know... that I love you. And, please remember that." Was what he heard before the car door was shut.

Despite feeling confused, Laurance felt a little safe. Protected, even.

It is a weird feeling... being felt loved. How are you supposed to feel? Mad? Sad? Happy?

Feeling tired from using his brain and swimming a few moments ago, Laurance fell back asleep after figuring out how to feel.

And, he felt happy that his best bro had confessed. Even if it wasn't meant to be a confession.

=============

I am tired. I finished this at exactly 3:15 a.m.. I have evidence, if you need it.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed cringing.

Because I certainly didn't.
