Brit!Jeffory X Katelyn

Yeah yeah I know Jeffory is British I just want people to be clear.

Relationships has never been Katelyn's strong point.

Ever.

She didn't know how to be a good girlfriend, much less when your boyfriend is probably the most flirtatious, smooth, funniest, kindest and smartest person she knew. It didn't help that he was an amazing kisser, or that they used to be super close friends.

So of course when she'd been asked out to dinner, she had no idea what she was doing with her life.

"What about—"

"No."

Katelyn figured she'd been stuck at Jeffory's house for a little over an hour now, trying to figure out where to go eat. She'd already given up on the mask of makeup Aphmau has plastered on her before leaving. Mascara smeared her coat sleeve to no end.

"Why is being in a relationship so hard?" Katelyn groaned, falling back onto the couch. Jeffory let out a chuckle, murmuring, "adorable" under his breath. He strode over to Katelyn, leaning over the couch to grin at her. "Because it is, Katie."

Katelyn immediately froze, staring at Jeffory. The latter suddenly regretted what he'd said, however he didn't show it. Katelyn narrowed her eyes, making the best death glare she could. "What... What did you just call me."

It wasn't a question, it was a demand. Jeffory smirked, leaning closer. "Katie."

Katelyn was about to threaten her boyfriend until an idea formed in her head. She lowered her eyelids, letting all visible anger slip away. She leaned in closer to Jeffory and dragged a fingertip across his jaw, making him shiver and lean in closer. She brushed her lips across his before pulling away and shoving the brunette off her, sticking her tongue out in a childish way. Jeffory blinking, shocked until it dawned on him what Katelyn had done—or what she intended to make him think she'd done. He shook his head.

"You are such a tease." With that remark, Katelyn only smiled. Jeffory moved away from the couch with his eyes narrowed in a playful way. "I'm going to go get some yoghurt if you don't finish finding a restaurant."

Katelyn sat there for a couple seconds, replaying what Jeffory said in her head over and over. Something felt wrong with the sentence, but she just didn't know what.

Finally it dawned on her.

"Jeffory..." She spoke slowly. "What did you say?"

"I'm getting some yoghurt. Why?"

"Because," she stifled a laugh, "it's pronounced youh-gurt."

At that, Jeffory stuck his head back into the living room. He held a spoon in his mouth and wore a confused expression, as if trying to figure out the difference between identical twins. "No, it isn't. Yog-hurt."

"Youh-gurt."

"Yog-hurt!"

"Oh yeah?" Katelyn stood up, hands resting on her hips. "What do you call a sidewalk then?"

"You mean pavement?" Jeffory asked. Katelyn growled. "It's sidewalk."

"No, pavement. That's what it's called. Look it up."

"You're funny, Jeffory. Look up sidewalk and its there, not pavement."

"Well," Jeffory set down the yoghurt and spoon, "what do you call this?" He dashed back to the kitchen and back in seconds. He held a candy bar in his grip, covered in a golden wrapper. "What is this candy?"

"Uh..." Katelyn cocked her head to the side in confusion. "A Trix bar?"

Jeffory shook his head and sighed. He unwrapped the candy, breaking the bar to show a thick, sugary substance. He pointed to the oozing filling. "What is this?"

"Carmel." Katelyn replied.

"No, caramel!"

"Oh my Irene, Jeffory, it's carmel! Car-mel!"

"It's caramel!"

"CARMEL!" Annoyed, Katelyn leaped from the couch, tackling her boyfriend. The two of them fell to the floor in a pile. Jeffory groaned, rubbing his forehead where the two of them had accidentally banged heads. "Ow, my arse."

"Ass." Jeffory narrowed his eyes. "Like you were earlier when you teased me?"

Katelyn arched an eyebrow. "Huh—oh you mean that." She smirked at Jeffory. "Sorry you didn't get your kiss, Princess."

"Princess?" Jeffory copied the blue-haired woman's expression. "You called me Katie."

"Touché."

After a couple seconds of awkward silence, Jeffory realized they were still laying ontop of each other. Smirking, he turned back to Katelyn's attention. "Hey Katelyn, did you know I took snogging lessons?"

Katelyn looked utterly confused. "What's snogging?" Jeffory grinned and placed a hand behind Katelyn's head. "I'll show you."

Katelyn's eyes widened as she felt the soft warm contact of lips against her own. Her eyes fluttered shut for the brief chaste kiss. When she did open her eyes again, Jeffory grinned mischievous up at her. Realizing what he'd done, Katelyn smirked back.

"You know Jeffory," she giggled, "that was called 'kissing'."

"It's snogging!"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------A/N The entire time I was writing this the only thing I could think of was "DAN AND PHIL AND DAN AND PHIL AND DAN AND PHIL" because they're literally my inspiration for this. I always found it funny that British people call kissing snogging, mostly since snogging doesn't sound romantic at all XD. But y'know, I guess Americans are weird like that.

And until the next post, Malio out.
