Aphmau X Katelyn
coupley things
"Aphmau..." Katelyn's head plopped into her girlfriend's lap, "I'm bored."
Aphmau raised an eyebrow at her companion, but didn't say a word to attempt to move her. Katelyn frowned, wanting all of the former's attention. Katelyn wiggled her way between Aphmau's arms, moving so that she was facing the brunette's face. She moved her legs around the chair, sitting herself right onto Aphmau's lap.
"What are you doing?" Aphmau questioned. Katelyn crossed her arms.
"Trying to see what you're doing." She complained.
"Aren't you facing the wrong direction to be doing that?" Katelyn narrowed her eyes at this, falling back into the seat. She flailed her arms above he head, sighing. "Pay attention to meeee!"
Aphmau stopped typing and turned to glare at her girlfriend. She titled her head and planted a quick kiss on the side of Katelyn's cheek. Katelyn looked at Aphmau expectantly, but when she received nothing she spun on her girlfriend's lap to stare at her laptop screen. "What are you even doing?"
Aphmau sighed. "I'm trying to write."
"Write what?"
"Something for work."
"You have a job that makes you write? Want me to go beat your boss up?"
"What? No it's not like that."
"What's it like then?"
Aphmau let her hands stop whizzing across the keyboard for a brief moment before letting them type again. Katelyn stared at her hands in awe. Aphmau's hands looked small and delicate, but they were strong and fast, surprising the blue-haired girlfriend. They moves so fast, she couldn't even tell what Aphmau was typing. In fact, she couldn't even tell what she was typing. Knowing nothing only made Katelyn more anxious and annoyed.
"Tell me what you're doing!" Aphmau rubbed her temples, clearly under stress, and faced her impatient other. She thought about it for a moment before answering, "Did I ever tell you about my secret writing job?"
Secret writing job? Katelyn had never heard of something of the sorts. She shook her head, eagerly awaiting an answer.
"Well," Aphmau paused to crack her fingers, "do you know what Fanfiction is?"
Katelyn chose her words carefully before replying, "Yeah, I've read some."
Aphmau looked shocked for a few brief seconds. "Really? Of what?"
"Won't infection."
"What?"
"One Direction." She mumbled, feeling heat creep over her face. Aphmau giggled at the red coloration, making Katelyn mumble and cover her face in embarrassment. "It's not funny!"
"No, it isn't. The blush suits you though, it's adorable." Aphmau teased. Katelyn shifted on her lap, turning so that she could read the blurry screen. How did her girlfriend even read this?
"Well? Do you want me to read the fanfic I'm writing?"
Katelyn looked at Aphmau, surprised. Would she really—"Yes!"
Aphmau cleared her throat, before starting the story.
Once upon a time, there was a fair woman named Lady Jessica. She was a kind soul, one that never overlooked even the slightest of needs. Her brown hair always cascaded past her shoulders, and her hazel-colored orbs always shone with love for others. Some in their village might've even called her a god.
But she had a dark secret that wasn't ever accepted during her time of living. She didn't love men, as much as they flirted with. Many never understood why she was able to resist so many's charm. Her answer was that she never found anyone she was interested in.
One faithful day, whilst walking towards the neighboring village to talk upon a certain red-headed girl's chicken problems, Lady Jessica—
"Wait, is her first name or last name Lady?" Katelyn interrupted. Aphmau narrowed her almond-shaped eyes in annoyance. "It's a formality used to describe someone of the upperclass."
"Sayeth what? I thought we were speaking English."
"It means that she was respected and you had to call her that because she was respected." Aphmau rolled her eyes a. Katelyn let out a soft "oh" and leaned back into the chair (or rather, onto Aphmau) to continue listening.
Lady Jessica stumbled upon a rather injured woman. Blood was seeping from her left leg, where she held it, grimacing. Her head shot up to Lady Jessica as she heard the crumble of footsteps approaching her. Only then did Jessica realize the woman wore armor and brandished a sword beside her, as the woman swung the sword at the brunette. "Stay back!" She shouted.
Jessica felt a deep pity for the woman, and ignoring the possible (and rather painful) consequences, she approached the woman. The latter continued to swing, her arms shaking. Jessica stopped walking, freezing as she heard the rustle and yell of guards behind her. The woman infront of Jessica reacted worse, trembling even worse.
"She must've gone this way!"
"Don't let the traitor escape!"
"Traitor?" Jessica harshly whispered, turning back to the cowering woman. She gulped as the brunette approaching her extended a kind hand. Hesitantly, the strange woman took Lady Jessica's hand and stood abruptly, causing the former to stumble and groan in pain.
"Take it easy, Miss...?"
"Oh, um, I'm Katie."
"What were you doing running from the guards from? Are you a thief?"
"No." Katie shook her head, blue strands of hair falling from her ponytail. "I was part of the Jury of-
"Hey wait!" Katelyn shot up from her makeshift seat, accidentally jabbing Aphmau in the stomach. The latter groaned. "What?"
"Wha...that's me! You just described me!" Aphmau bit her lip and turned away. "No."
"Yes, yes you did! I can see the blush! Hey wait, is that why you were so pissy earlier? I knew it!" Katelyn stifled a laugh and muttered under her breath. "No wonder you were acting so much like me earlier."
Aphmau covered her reddened face with her palm. "Sorry. Are you mad Katelyn?"
Katelyn scoffed. "No, I'm a bit annoyed that you were writing Fanfiction about me anyways. Who's the Jessica character anyways?"
Aphmau poked her girlfriend's face. "It's rare for you to be more naïve than me." Katelyn grumbled and stuck her tongue out. "It's you, isn't it?"
Aph smiled, pressing her lips to Katelyn's for a brief moment. The action left Katelyn slightly red and surprised. "It sure is me, Katie."
"Never call me Katie again."
"Make me."
"It's on!"
