Aaron X Pinkie Cake

Aaron remembered how much she loved ponies.

It was always with Zane that she enjoyed them with too.

Irene, now he was just being a mopey ex.

Him and Aphmau were still friends of course but, it wasn't the same to him. Aaron usually shrugged off events like this like they didn't bother him but this bothered him a lot. He didn't know why but as he jogged down the street, letting the memories hit him, he had to hold back.

Sweat formed more profusely with every step he took thinking about everything. The heat beat his skin making him grit his teeth. The sun blinded his eyes making him wince. It seemed like the sun was against him as well.

The only somewhat benefit of this was that Garroth and Laurance were actually pretty friendly with him. They always came over with invites to parties, get-togethers, plays, and marathons of My Little Horsie (Aaron always thought they did this to torture him.).

But in an attempt of keeping things under the radar, he found himself saying yes to all of these. Maybe it was just so no one would ask him questions of pity.

Although, Aaron found this as a time to bond with everyone and had grown an attachment to the show.

Great timing, Aaron, really great timing.

But, Aaron wasn't one to collect figurines of the characters or make references to the show, he just enjoyed the quirky characters and plot. He wasn't one to get invested in fandoms, fanfictions, or even fan events, let alone even talking about it.

He was a quiet guy before and he was still a quiet guy now. The only real person he actually opened up to was Aphmau but that ended badly.

Aaron stopped jogging as he ran out of breath and leaned against the nearest tree. His sweat trickled down his face and his hair stuck to his forehead in messy globs. As he started getting his breathing back to normal, he heard two voices conversing, well yelling, from the house nearest to him.

"BUT ZANE! YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE FEELINGS FOR APHMAU!" A very cheery and high-pitched voice yelled back to what it seemed like, Zane.

"I DO NOT! PINKIE CAKE, I SWEAR IF YOU CRACK THAT WINDOW ANY FURTHER--"

"WHY ARE ALL YOU RO'MEAVES COWARDS TO YOUR OWN FEELINGS?!"

There a sudden sound of pushing and a certain thudding sound became louder to Aaron. Aaron looked around the tree to see a pile of pink on the grass of Zane's house, not even moving.

The pile then started to move like a zombie rising from the dead. It was weird seeing a pony from television decide to jump down from one of your friend's window and "resurrect" themselves.

Yep, just another day in the neighborhood.

Aaron saw Zane hurry over to the open window with a face of worry.

"PINKIE CAKE! WHY DID YOU JUMP OUT OF THE WINDOW?!"

The pony shook out the dirt from her pink mane and looked up at Zane.

"My magical powers are not to be wasted on people like you who are afraid of their own feelings. I'm only here for conveniently placed plot moments and parodies!"

What?

"What the--," Zane repeated, taking the words out of Aaron's mind, "Pinkie Cake!"

But, Pinkie Cake refused.

She ran off the lawn in a blur of pink to the back of Aaron. Feeling something at the back of him, he turned to see huge blue eyes staring into his dark eyes. Keeping his composure, Aaron took a deep breath as the pony excitedly talked to him.

"WHY, HELLO THERE STRANGER! I'M PINKIE CAKE!"

Aaron felt himself slowly attach himself more to the tree trunk in a futile attempt to get away from the hyperactive pink cartoon character.

"Um...hi."

"WELL THAT'S NOT HOW YOU GREET A NEW FRIEND!"

Pinkie Cake then preceded to take Aaron's hand with her hoof and shook it frantically. She then released his hand as Aaron looked at her with a face of fear and all anime-like, ran out of that situation until he got home.

With almost no breath left, Aaron got home almost busting down the door. He slammed the door, locking it very fast. Aaron closed his eyes, letting his breath steady. Before he opened his eyes, he could hear the TV power up to the familiar tune of My Little Horsie. As if the TV was a jumpscare, Aaron opened his eyes to see the damn pink pony.

"HI BEST FRIEND!"

Aaron slowly slunk onto the floor and took another deep breath closing his eyes once more.

"Alright, there's a 99.9% chance that this is just a lucid dream," Aaron muttered to himself, "When I open my eyes, it will be morning and this will all be a dream."

Reluctantly, he opened up his eyes and to his dismay, this was not a dream. Slowly, he got up and headed over to the kitchen.

He opened the fridge up to where he knew Aphmau put her cupcakes in. Aaron knew he would get his butt kicked if Aphmau ever found out that he took one of her cupcakes....or all of them. But, he knew if he explained himself, she would fangirl knowing that Pinkie Cake ate her cupcakes...hopefully.

Aaron took the platter from the fridge to where Pinkie Cake was watching My Little Horsie in utter silence as she quietly squealed with delight. Her unstable gaze moved to the platter and she started taking all of the cupcakes.

All the while, Aaron slunk into the corner of the couch watching the show with the pony and it was almost if he knew, it would be a long night.

A/N - Yep, this was definitely interesting. I really enjoyed writing this...maybe a little too much. Also, it was a little rushed because I started this on Saturday then remembered today was Monday. I TOTALLY know what my priorities are. Anyways, I hoped you all enjoyed! Buh-bye!
