AAAAHHH AN UPDATE!

K IMMA SAY THIS. THE NEW UPDATE RATE WILL BE SUNDAYS, TUESDAYS, THURSDAYS, AND SATURDAYS

that's just the beta test of my update rate. But Imma try to update more frequently in a week.

Narrator

The driver in the seat in front of a maroon car grabbed his mPhone and called.

"Hello?" he said as he put his hands on the steering wheel.

"Ah, yes! We have Project Afina already in. There shouldn't be any problemos."

He leaned against the seat and place his right leg on the windshield.

"Um... Take her to Bergenheim? I'm already going to do that. Then what?"

Then two of his companions entered the vehicle. One sat beside him on the driver's seat while the other sat behind them.

"Then we go to the scientists and register Project Afina?"

His companions closed the door.

"Yes, sir."

The man then dropped the call. Then all of them took off their gas masks, revealing their faces.

"Let's go, boys!"

The man in the driver's seat readjusted himself, barely hearing a muffled voice from the trunk.

He started the engine as the car gently shook. He pressed the pedals on the floor, causing the car to accelerate, on the way to Minecraftia's capital, Bergenheim.

* * * * *

"There it is! They don't please!" Milarite exclaimed while trying to rhyme.

Ray and the others raced behind Milarite. The team saw a maroon car speed past them.

"Get 'em!" Ray exclaimed.

Milarite summoned a floating platform made of sapphire. She hopped onto it and floated away towards the car.

Persephone levitated and joined Milarite above the sky. Athaliah later did the same.

Lion drank a Speed II potion that lasts for eight minutes and chased the car.

Ray teleported aboard Milarite's platform, causing Milarite to nearly fall off. She managed to stay on the platform as she hovered the platform above the car.

Jay wasn't sure what to do. He knew he can't fly, and he doesn't have a speed potion, and he couldn't teleport. But he tried something a few days ago, but he scratched his head, not sure if that works.

He concentrated, and morphed into block ID 0, also known as the air.

"Wow. That worked," a voice muttered in the air.

Jay as an air realized that he could float.

Time to be sneaky... he thought.

* * * * *

"Sir, they are chasing us!" the man behind the driver said.

"Who?" the driver replied.

"Project Afina's friends, probably..."

The driver sighed, then ordered, "Get the miniguns."

The two men nodded and put on their gas masks.

* * * * *

Lion was catching up to the vehicle. He had one mission in mind.

Gotta save Nev, he thought. He cared about Nev, more than anything else in this world. And he was not going to lose her.

A man in a gas mask appeared in the car window. He asked himself what are those gas masks for.

Grr... He raged like the rage of a lion.

The man grabbed a minigun and aimed against Lion.

Are you freaking kidding me?!

He dove to the side as the man shot in a continuous, non-stop manner.

Lion groaned as he stood up. He stared at the moving car. The distance between them grew, second by second.

He knew that he has to save Nev...

* * * * *

"Whoa!" Ray exclaimed as Milarite tried to hover the platform out of the minigun bullets.

Persephone stopped in mid-air and summoned an ice ball and threw it at the car. It landed right beside it as the ice ball shattered like glass. The car went drifting as it went nearly out of control.

"Nice one," Ray commented. Persephone just nodded and formed an ice shield that deflects all the bullets.

Milarite used her crystal projectiles and threw it at the car. The crystals pierced through the roof of the car.

However, the Team doesn't even know that Jay was nearing the car.

* * * * *

"They're gaining on us!" the two men with the miniguns yelled.

"Then use every single resource we have to stop them! RPGs, gasoline, bombs, I don't care! So as long as they don't get their hands on Project Afina!"

The two men agreed and grabbed the strongest weapons they have.

* * * * *

Lion was getting exhausted from running, but he sprinted towards the car. He didn't care where he was right now. All he cared was to save Nev.

He was worried about Nev. He asked himself questions like what if Nev died? What if Nev was unconscious, pulled into her deep slumber, calling out his name?

Nonetheless, he still ran, determined to get Nev out of her captors.

Then an explosion boomed near him, releasing a deafening noise that nearly exploded his eardrums. Pieces of the road scattered, and little fragments crashed on Lion's head.

But he kept on, knowing that bazillions of explosions couldn't stop him.

Another explosion nearly hit him, as Lion sprinted towards the car. He was five blocks away.

Four blocks.

Lion could hear Nev's muffled voice in the car.

"I'll save you, my princess!" he yelled as he sprinted faster than he did. He could feel his legs were on fire, but he kept on.

Suddenly, small, floating, Wither-looking creatures holding swords appeared on the ground and floated on mid-air.

"We are the Vex! We are legion! We do not forgive. We do not forget!"

Lion took a leap against the car as Vexes charged against him.

Lion grabbed hold of the back of the car. He could hear Nev's struggles from the trunk.

As much as he'd like to free Nev, he has to kill the Vex first.

"Expect us!" the Vex yelled as it charged against Lion with its sword.

Staying on the vehicle, Lion slashed against the Vex with his claws. The Vex got knocked back, but more of its fellows charged against Lion.

Lion swiped against another Vex who was attacking from the right. Then blocked an attack.

He was getting overwhelmed. And if he didn't do something soon, he knew that he'd be dead.

* * * * *

The Vexes surrounded Milarite and Ray. The two fought back-to-back. Milarite prepared her oddly-shaped shield, detaching a sword from it. Ray prepared his raygun.

Two Vexes attacked Milarite at the same time. Milarite both blocked it with her shield as she eliminated the Vexes within one slash.

Ray shot his radiation against the Vex, but it doesn't seem to be working.

"Oh no..." Ray muttered as Milarite killed more Vexes.

* * * * *

The Vexes didn't just attack Lion, Milarite, and Ray. They also attacked Persephone, who was floating above the ground.

Using her ice manipulation, Persephone formed another ice katana (she lost her weapons when she was kidnapped) on her right hand.

Persephone turned to the Vexes, gripping her ice katana on her right hand as she swiveled a small ice ball in her left hand.

The Vexes charged at her, but she quickly formed an ice shield. She slashed against two of the Vexes within one slice.

Persephone summoned another ice ball and charged it against a Vex. Then she blocked an attack, but caused her to get knocked back a little.

Persephone then froze the Vexes using her ice, then quickly slashed them out.

Finally, she annihilated the Vexes that surrounded her, but she sensed that Ray may need a little help.

She also saw Lion struggling on the ground as well.

Her mind noticed that Jay is nowhere to be found, but she shook that off as she went to Ray and froze all of the Vexes that attacked him. She then swiped all the Vexes.

Ray gave a sigh of relief.

Persephone hovered near him.

"Are you okay?" she asked, her eyes filled with concern.

"Yeah..." Ray answered. "Thank you..."

Persephone smiled in return, "You're welcome." Ray thought that her smile was cute.

Ray then held her hand.

"Seriously. I mean it," he added.

Persephone could feel her heart skip a beat. She could feel the warmth of his hand covering hers.

She smiled, and she descended a little to match Ray's altitude.

They were now close up with each other, face-to-face, with half a block between them while holding hands.

Milarite interrupted with her raspy voice, "This is not the time for romance! We got to halt their advance!"

She then gestured to the car with Lion on it.

One thing, they saw that they are now surrounded by snow-capped mountains dotted with trees. They also noticed the ruined skyline of Heijokyo behind the mountains.

Persephone registered the fact that they are now outside Heijokyo.

They also noticed a phoenix fly towards the car.

* * * * *

Lion struggled to fight for his life. He slashed at more Vexes, for the sake of Nev.

He then saw a phoenix fly over him, and within one glance, he knew it was Athaliah.

"Oh, thank Notch!" he exclaimed as he blocked an attack.

The phoenix slashed its claws against the Vexes. All the Vexes turned against the phoenix.

The phoenix then managed to annihilate all the Vexes.

Lion looked down and saw the trunk of the car.

And he knew that Nev is inside the trunk, waiting to be released.

* * * * *

"We're out of defense!"

The driver thought for a moment. He knew that their last stand wouldn't last long.

"Do we have that Wither spawn egg?" the driver asked.

One of them answered, "Yes, sir!"

"Send it in. Then get out of this car for good."

* * * * *

Lion prepared his claws, ready to break through the trunk.

Suddenly, the car under him stopped, and because of inertia, Lion got knocked off onto the ground.

Lion groaned, but he then heard a monstrous sound.

The Wither's sound.

Lion immediately realized that he must get Nev out of there.

It was now or never.

Lion quickly stood up, dashed towards the car, and opened the trunk.

He carried Nev, who was in the trunk, and sprinted out of the car swiftly as the Wither grew into its final size.

When Lion felt that they were now in the safe distance, she put Nev down.

Then within one second, he felt Nev hug him.

And Lion never felt a hug in his lifetime.

So this is what it was like to be hugged...

Lion gently hugged her back, then he heard Nev say, "Thank you... for saving... me..."

He sincerely replied, "You're welcome..."

(Someone should make a fanart of Neon tbh)

Then, a loud boom echoed. The Wither was officially made.

The Wither made creepy sounds that shivers the team's spines.

"I'll handle this!" the phoenix declared.

"Me too!" Persephone joined Athaliah.

"Me three!" Milarite tried to sound enthusiastic, but ultimately failing because of her raspy voice as she joined the two.

The trio stopped in mid-air as the Wither started hurling its projectiles everywhere. Some trees and parts of the road blasted away.

"Let's do this..." Persephone signalled to Athaliah and Milarite.

Athaliah didn't notice that she dropped something out of her inventory as they charged against the Wither.

Ray noticed the dropped item. He concluded that it was a book.

He picked it up and read the cover.

Alexandra's Journal

Ray got curious. "Who is Alexandra?" he muttered.

Ray kept it in his inventory. He'll read it later.

* * * * *

Persephone charged against the Wither first. She slashed it with her katana, but she barely dodged its projectiles when she dove away.

Athaliah went next, and she summoned fire from the ground and burned the Wither. The Wither got angry and summoned two mini-Withers from the ground.

Athaliah gasped as she dodged its projectiles. She knew that the Wither doesn't have the ability to summon more Withers.

She asked herself how did it get its abilities.

This is going to be one Nether of a fight... She thought.

Milarite summoned five crystal spikes made of emeralds, rubies, and jades and threw it against the Wither.

The Wither projected two of its projectiles against Milarite. Milarite hovered away from the projectiles.

The mini-Withers also released its projectiles against the trio.

The three of them made their shields to fend off the projectiles of the Wither.

* * * * *

"We gotta get out of here!" Lion told Nev.

"No!" she resisted.

Lion looked at the projectiles that blasted off pieces of trees and the ground.

"It's literally going to rain cats and dogs out here!" Lion yelled.

"Lion's right. You need to stay here," Ray joined in.

"Why?! I can't just..."

"I can't afford to lose you again!" Lion exclaimed. Nev stood there.

"I barely managed to save you, Nev. In fact, I nearly killed myself just to save you! If we stay here and--"

"But I can't just leave the team alone!"

"But we couldn't do anything about it! We aren't fairies that can just poof-poof and make crap disappear like magic!"

"Whatever, I'm staying here," Nev decided stubbornly as she turned away from him.

"Nev!"

Lion's eyes then trailed off to the Wither's projectile.

And it is going straight for Nev.

Lion widened his eyes, "Nev!"

Then everything happened in slow motion.

Nev turned to the projectile and widened her eyes. She knew that she doesn't have time to dodge the projectile.

Then she felt a force that push her out of the way.

Lion stood in Nev's place as Nev landed on the ground, groaning in pain.

The projectile landed on Lion's body, causing an explosion and gave Lion the Wither effect.

A crater stood in his place, Lion laying in the crater. He felt his health gradually deplete as his life slowly started to fade away.

Nev quickly stood up and saw him struggle over life and death.

"Lion!" Nev rushed in favor of Lion's aid.

Ray came over near Lion. He crouched down and examined him. Fresh wounds from the explosion dotted his skin.

Lion slowly but painfully grabbed something from his inventory.

Ray looked at it and immediately recognized it as a splash health potion. Ray quickly grabbed the health potion and splashed it on him.

The splash health potion eased Lion's pain, but the wounds are still intact.

"The splash potion will suffice. But we need to get him to a safer place," Ray told Nev.

Nev nodded gravely. She instantly knew that she owed him her life.

Two lives.

Lion saved her two times.

D-does he care about me that much...? She thought. That seemed logical. No one would give their bazillion lives just to save one person.

Nev shed a tear as she helped carry Lion to a safer place.

* * * * *

The three men in a gas mask ran through the wilderness in Koji Mountains, the mountain range that covered almost 75% of East Minecraftia.

"We gotta call them!" one of them yelled.

"We can't! We'll literally receive no signal in this crooked mountain!"

However, they didn't know that Jay was right behind them, being sneaky and trying to assassinate them.

"It's worth a try though," another one continued.

Just as he was about to get his mPhone, Jay morphed himself to his normal form and hacked into the man's neck using his dagger.

"Hey!" one of them yelled.

Jay stabbed the other man.

Another one of them charged against Jay, but Jay immediately slashed against him.

All three of them went limp on the ground.

"Mission accomplished," Jay muttered as he morphed himself back into block ID 0.

* * * * *

Persephone froze the mini-Withers in their place. Athaliah melted the ice away and burned them out.

"Nice!" Persephone commented as she raised her hand. "High-five!"

Athaliah high-fived her hand as she formed another fireball in her own hands.

Milarite summoned more crystal spikes and threw it against the Wither.

The Wither's health kept depleting to a dangerously low level.

The Wither summoned more mini-Withers and threw more projectiles against the team.

Persephone looked at Athaliah. She nodded, agreeing for something. She looked at Milarite, and she nodded.

"Let's do this..."

Athaliah then rose a few blocks on the air. She outstretched her hands and her eyes blazed with fire... literally.

Then fireballs started falling from the sky as it turned dark.

The Wither got disoriented as it saw the phenomenon in the sky. The Wither tried to summon more projectiles, but Persephone temporarily froze the Wither and summoned a blizzard; it's sheer cold rampaged the area, causing the Withers to slow its movement and eventually freeze.

Fireballs from the sky struck the Withers, causing great damage and unfroze. However, they still moved slowly.

Persephone summoned a strong, cold wind that blew the Withers into the ground level.

Due to the coldness, the Withers shivered, still releasing projectiles randomly.

Persephone nodded to Milarite, who in turn prepared herself.

Force built up inside her, then struck it on the ground, causing a very strong earthquake that affected the Wither. She made sure that nearby areas weren't affected though.

Athaliah descended to the same altitude as Persephone's. Milarite ascended onto Persephone's level.

The three of them formed their own projectiles, then combined them into one, supersized ball combined with elements of fire, ice, and earth. The fire and ice, even though they're opposites, managed to co-exist within one shape.

The three of them attacked with their supersized ball against the Wither, plunging it into its death as it gave its dying scream.

"Nice! Fire, earth, and ice!" the three of them high-fived each others hands, celebrating their victory. And it rhymed, too!

"Great job!" Persephone praised themselves as the fire falls stopped and the earthquake ceased.

Athaliah then grabbed the Nether star that was dropped by the Wither. She put it in her inventory, when she noticed that Alexandra's journal went absent.

"Oh crap, I must've dropped her journal," she muttered.

"What journal?" Persephone suddenly asked.

Athaliah sighed, "I'm gonna have a lot of explaining to do..."
