had a cute idea for an AU basically based around found family during the apocalypsehgfjkdlksjgfkhs

-the idea of this AU is that the entire world has turned apocalyptic and basically enacted the purge, but there's small section that's walled off and has super high tech and is super futuristic but everyone there is kinda oblivious to the outside world (they basically just know that if you go out there, you gonna die)

-Darryl (21), Vincent (16), Tommy (14), and Tubbo (14) are all survivors from the apocalypse that were taken into the sanctuary cuz the government was like "yeah pretty sure a bunch of kids aren't murdering psychopaths lol"

-Tubbo's real name is Toby but his nickname, Tubbo, is mainly used

-the 4 were taken into the sanctuary cuz they were found near the wall surrounding it and taken in by the cops (they weren't hurt tho)

-basically Zak offers to house them for as long as they need (or for as long as he can) and he just introduces them to all the advanced technology and what not

-i made this AU purely for the found family fluff, like there is genuinely like no hurt without comfort

-it also might be inspired by the fact that Bad can shoot and knife throw (im still in shock about it honestly)

-then they get informed that Tubbo, Tommy, and Vincent still gotta to school so goddamn it

-Darryl basically has a heart attack over the fact that he won't be able to be with them and protect them (cuz he's an adult and can't go to school with them) and the fact they're gonna be around so many people (being around a lot of the people in the purge aint the greatest thing)

-aka old habits die hard :')

-Zak at least convinces Darryl that Tommy and Tubbo have each other in 9th grade but then Darryl realizes that oh shit Vincent's alone goddamn it-

-Vincent's actually quite smart, he's the only one of the purge group who really was interested in reading

-so basically Zak knows some people (he knows Techno who knows Phil who's a teacher at the school) and manages to get Vincent into 12th grade instead of 11th cuz Zak has some friends in 12th grade who can help him :)

-this entire AU is just those four trying to get used to this society after being out in the purge with their friends to help them, pure fluff no hurt without comfort :DDDDD

-there aren't really any bullies at the school, just a lot of people accidentally harassing Tubbo, Tommy, and Vincent about what the outside world is like (and being way too pushy and personal cuz fuck you kid don't ask if they've had to kill someone bruh)

-Tommy gets detention on his first day of school for punching a kid who kept asking him questions about the purge

-Vincent is hella anti-social and Zak's friends (mainly Dream Team) have to basically drag him out of the library to get him to talk with them

-Mega is an 11th grader who also used to be from the purge (not associated with Darryl's little purge group tho, he came into the school a year prior) is basically Vincent's only close friend

-Mega's mute, Vincent's anti-social, they just chill and read books together with occasional little comments :D

-Tubbo and Tommy both get into tons of trouble because their immediate instinct for people approaching them is fight (Tommy gets into trouble even more cuz he tends to stick up for Tubbo)

-Tubbo can hold his own, he just prefers flight over fight

-during the apocalypse, Tubbo was the scavenger and if he saw people he just ran, and Tommy was the stealer and if he saw people he usually tried to fight

-Tubbo knows how to swim so after he's explained to what clubs are, he joins the swimming club! (or i guess, the swim team lol)

-Darryl, upon meeting Zak's dog Rocco, immediately compares her to a rat and Zak's like "wtf bro" but then Darryl explains that in the purge rats are actually good because a) they're much more trustworthy than humans and b) they're good foodhjfdksgfdslf

-Zak is unsure whether or not to take it as a compliment but Darryl seems like happy so he's just like "ok sure"

-Tubbo sees a bee for the first time and is immediately like "HOLY SHIT BEES" cuz bees are so rare in the apocalypse (they're literally like mythical creatures, he's only ever heard of them from Vincent who read about them in an old kids book)

-so yeah Tubbo ends up hanging out in the small school garden after school and chilling with the bees, making friends and laughing at Tommy who got stung-

-also yeah Vincent lost an eye in the apocalypse oops-

-while Tubbo chills in the garden, Vincent chills in the library, Tommy's still struggling to not pick fights :(

-Tommy ends up finding the theatre nerds and finds peace among them (aka they're just as eccentric as he is and finally he's got someone to match his energy)

-Darryl like never sleeps cuz they're used to taking a night shift to guard the bois and Tommy and Tubbo and Vincent end up falling asleep really late and then waking up really early so Zak has to blanket burrito them all to try and get them to sleep

-they all also finally get some nice new clothes

-Zak also tends to stay up late so Vincent's gotta deal with his two sleep deprived parents and two children

-i just like the idea that Vincent and Mega would be friends :)

-oh also cuz Tommy and Tubbo've never been to school, Techno gets to be their tutor as well :DDDD

-i want to give them all futuristic and apocalyptic clothes, is that too much to ask ;-;

-in conclusion, Darryl has anxiety, Tommy has anger issues, Tubbo likes weeds and bees, and Vincent is the middle child :'D (oh yeah and i guess Zak and everyone else is there-)
