   ~*~

Tommy groaned and smacked his head against the wall, brandished sword dangling loosely in his grip. "Fuckin' Techno and his fuckin' practice shit..." he grumbled. "Can't believe he's forcing me to practice, I already know how to do this!"

A high-pitched cackled suddenly came from the other side of the room and Tommy snapped his head up. A tan man in a dark blue hoodie was sneering at him from beside the training room's door.

"Ew, it's the shortstack," Tommy snapped, sticking his tongue out. "Why're you even here?"

"Just watching you suffer bitch boy," Skeppy shot back, grinning even wider at the younger's annoyance. "Gotta keep training if you wanna be with the big shots, though I doubt you could anyways."

"Yes I can!" Tommy exclaimed, glaring with piercing red eyes. "And I will! I'm already almost as good as Technoblade!"

Skeppy laughed. "Yeah yeah, keep dreamin' kid. Maybe you'll finally stop getting baby training and hold a proper sword."

Tommy huffed and rolled his eyes, then noticed something in the shorter's hand. "Hey, what's that?" he asked, pointing to the small box. "You going to smoke a joint or something?"

Skeppy's eyes widened slightly and he quickly hid the box behind him. "Of course not you idiot," he hissed. "It's just some cards, I was gonna play uh, poker with Bad..."

"Yeah right." Tommy carelessly threw his sword aside and stalked over, towering over the raven-haired. "Now that I think about it, I haven't seen you 'round much either. The fuck've you been doing?"

Skeppy looked away, his grin turning bitter. "Listen, I'll tell you but not here," he snapped. "Follow me."

Tommy raised an eyebrow questioningly but silently decided to follow him. The two slipped quietly through the large castle and up into one of the towers with a tall spiral staircase.

"Fuck this is so extra," Tommy mumbled, his legs aching from the long trip. "Couldn't you have chosen literally any other room in this fucking castle?"

"Shut up kid."

Skeppy was just about to open the trap door at the top when it lifted on it's own, revealing a short brunette with a dark green scarf that covered his mouth. "Hey there uncute mute," Skeppy teased, climbing up and ruffling Mega's hair.

Mega pulled away and flicked his forehead, glaring and making Skeppy laugh. Tommy climbed up and kicked closed the trapdoor, nearly slamming it on Mega's hand and making the brunette flip him off.

"Oh yeah cause this is sooo much better than down in the training room," Tommy complained, crossing his arms. "If you wanted to be alone this is literally the worst place you could've picked."

"Mega already knows," Skeppy replied, waving him off. Mega tapped him on the shoulder and raised an eyebrow, pointing over at Tommy. "Oh, Mega this is Tommy, he's a bitch boy."

"I already-!" Tommy sighed, putting a hand over his eyes in frustration. "Whatever asshole. What'd you even need to show me?"

Skeppy opened the small box and slid a deck of cards out, splayed them out on the ground. Each card had blacked out silhouette with a question mark beneath it except for two; one which read "Skeppy" and one that read "Mega".

The black silhouette on the Skeppy card was replaced by what looked like Skeppy in a bright blue hoodie and matching beanie, sticking his tongue out and doing double peace-signs.

The silhouette on Mega's card was replaced with Mega who's scarf and clothes looked much brighter than usual, though his eyes still held their usual apathy.

Tommy stared for a moment before looking up at Skeppy, confused and slightly weirded out. "What the fuck is this?"

"Take a card," Skeppy prompted, completely ignoring what Tommy had said.

The blond hesitated for a moment but grabbed one of the cards with a silhouette that resembled a peace sign. As soon as he touched it, the black melted straight off the card like ink and the question reformed into the word "Tommy".

The silhouette was now a near photo copy of Tommy except the his usually black sleeves were red and his eyes were a bright blue.

Tommy stared at it and then chucked it back at Skeppy, sneering bitterly. "What kinda witchcraft bullshit is this?" he asked, glancing between Mega and Skeppy. "Is the mute over here some kind of wizard or did you do something Skeppy?"

Skeppy laughed at his reaction, falling onto his back. "Nah I didn't do anything. These card're weird but they can do some cool stuff!"

Tommy raised his eyebrow at that. "Like what?"

"Well if you flip the card over then you'll see!" Skeppy glanced up at Mega who was sat silently off to the side. "Mega you keep watch till we get back aight?"

The mute rolled his eyes which Skeppy took as yes and snatched up his own card. Tommy eyed him suspiciously and chuckled. "If this kills me Skeppy, you're gonna have hell to pay; you know that right?"

"You won't, you won't," the tanner reassured with a dismissive wave. "Now just flip it."

Tommy flipped over the card and was met with the same picture on the back, except the colors now properly matched what Tommy looked like. The card suddenly glowed red and rose slowly into the air. It started spinning violently and twisted into a sparkling portal that showed a bright street lined with houses on the other side.

The blond flinched back, eyes going wide. "What the fuck?!" he yelped.

"Here we go!" Skeppy stood up and quickly leaped through the portal, grabbing Tommy's hand and dragging him through as well. Once they were on the other side, the portal whirled back into a card and gently floated back into Tommy's hand.

"Welcome to the other side!" The raven-haired spun in a little circled, his arms outstretched and grinning ear-to-ear. "Where everything's literally the same!"

Tommy was standing, shocked and having the wind knocked out of him, and could only gape at the shorter. Skeppy frowned at him and reached up to snap his fingers in front of his face a few times. "Yoohoo? Anyone home? Or did your brain just like how everyone left you?"

That seemed to shake the blond out of his trance and he shoved Skeppy away with an angry yelp, the shorter simply laughing and spinning on his heels. Tommy was about to retort when he noticed something slightly concerning.

"Uh, what happened to your eye?" he asked, gesturing to the shorter's right eye. The normally void-like eye with a white pupil now looked as normal as Tommy's eye, except with a black iris instead of red.

"Oh right, this." Skeppy reached up, resting his hand slightly under his eye. "Yeah Mega said this happened too last time he came with me. You got a blue eye now so I guess it's just something that happens here."

"I- uh, yeah actually speaking of that!" Tommy turned to glare at him. "What the hell did you do?! Where are we and what did those fucking cards do?!"

"SHUSH people'll hear you!" the shorter hissed, giving him a small shove. "But uh, we're in an alternate world I think. I've been wandering around here for the past few days and I've seen copies of everyone being all nice and stuff to each other."

Tommy stared at him. "...Everyone...?"

Skeppy nodded, sticking out his tongue in mock disgust. "Yeah, everyone. Even Bad and A6d act all sweet to each other, makes me wanna vomit every time I see them."

"Huh?"

Tommy froze at the familiar voice. Skeppy whirled around, putting on a quick fake smile, and waved. "Uh, hi Bad!"

Tommy turned to see a strawberry blond standing a bit away from him, a gray hood with bright bright red edges shadowing his face. The one thing that stood out to Tommy was that Bad's usually void-like eyes (similar to Skeppy's) were now a shining emerald green, sparkling with an usual hint of kindness.

"Hey guys!" Bad exclaimed, bounding closer to them with a smile. "Did you need something?"

"N-no," Skeppy replied. "Why do you ask?"

"Oh I thought I heard my name, sorry." He glanced up at Skeppy and tilted his head slightly "Does your eye still hurt? You sure you wanna get it checked out?"

Tommy know realized that Skeppy had closed his void eye.

"Yeah yeah it's fine!" Skeppy said quickly, smiling awkwardly. "I'm sure it'll be fine soon, just give it some time!"

That seemed to satisfy Bad as he didn't push any further. "Okay I guess... What're you guys even doing in the middle of the street?"

"Something!" Skeppy replied all too quickly. "Actually, me and Tommy have to go right now! Important stuff! See you later?"

"Oh okay! Good luck with whatever you're doing!" Bad waved a little bye and grinned.

"Yup! Thanks!" Skeppy snatched Tommy's hand and dragged him away. Tommy just followed him, slightly dazed by everything.

"I... what is happening...?"
