Chapter 6
Keighan
When we make our way down to the basement an evil smile forms on my lips. It's going to involve pain. As Donny opens the door, I study the large room. The basement has seen so much death and blood the walls of each room down here is stained crimson red.
Taking a deep breath, I can smell the fear within. "Who's the poor bastard that's down here?" At my question, the twin brothers turn their way toward me, both wearing a smirk on their lips.
"Why don't you open up door number one." Devon nods his head to the first door to the left. Before I can take a step in that direction Donny beats me to the door and dances his eyebrows up and down. Causing an honest laugh to fall from my mouth.
"You are either the biggest goofball or a killing machine. There is not an in between." I tell him as I step up to the door. Tapping him on the shoulder with one hand, I open the door with the other. To my surprise and delight, there hanging with his arms in the air, held by a chain stands Judge Matthew's. The young asshole that thought he was making a name for himself by putting me behind bars.
Stepping into the room I switch on the light. So, I can see how savagely beaten he already is. Once the bright light flips on his swollen eyes do their best to open. All he can do is open the left eye a little bit. His head is so swollen and bruised I almost didn't recognize him, but I would know the scar along his cheek from anywhere.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. It seems to me you pissed off the wrong family." I say in a deathly tone as I walk around him like a lion stalking its prey. Judging from the looks of things my cousins have already had a lot of fun playing with him.
"Fuck you." He mumbles under his breath. Causing me to lose a little bit of my cool and to jab his head with my knee the moment I'm standing in front of him. He screams in agonizing pain. I just hurt his already broken nose. Good!
"Release the chains from the ceiling." Devon and Donny waste no time doing as they're told. I hear the clanking as it falls to the floor, followed by Judge Matthew's landing on his knees. He stays down with his head against the floor. Sounds like he's coughing up blood. I kneel down to his level, grabbing him by the back of the head, I pull him by his hair. He begs for his life as he cries out in pain.
Looking up at me, the pitiful little boy has tears falling down his cheek. He knows he is staring the devil himself in the eye. Death is coming for him; he won't be leaving this basement alive. I took much pleasure for the three hours of torturing the ruthless excuse for a man.
He tried everything to get me to spare his life. Telling me all his families secrets, the men that work for him in the sex trade business and smuggling of drugs. The information will work in my favor, but he had to have known there was no way he was walking from the slaughter room alive.
"Did you get what you needed out of your system?" Pops greets me as I walk into the kitchen. I don't answer him right away, instead walking to the refrigerator and grabbing a bottle of water. I suck it down in two large gulps and throw the bottle away.
I know father is standing behind me awaiting my answer. The truth is I'm not entirely sure what to tell him. Did I get some much-needed aggression out by killing that bastard? Hell yes! Does it make me feel any better about what Jilliana has been up to in my absence? Absolutely not!
Instead of letting me respond he simply tells me to head upstairs and shower. There is no way we can go to the hospital with me covered in blood. I smirk at him as I turn around, giving him a chin lift as I walk out of the room. Just before I'm fully away, he hollers at me to wear a proper suit.
Thirty minutes later I'm just finishing buttoning my suit jacket when my brother knocks on my door and lets himself in. He stands there studying me with a peculiar look in his eyes. "What is it?" My tone holds a bit of aggression causing him to take a step back.
"Father wants us in the limo in less than five minutes." Without another word he turns and leaves. Making me scoff at his back. What the fuck is going on with him? Not having time to think about that, I make my way through the maze of the manor. Once I'm outside I see everyone standing beside the limo once again waiting for me. We don't say a word to one another, just get into the car and watch the scenery as we go.
The entire time I know I should be happy. Celebrating even. The men that did their absolute best to put me away are both dying tonight, but I cannot get my mind off Jilliana. What is that woman thinking? First, moving an hour away from the city. Then, working at an elite club.
Well, what she doesn't know is I now own that club. Well, me and the family own it. Meaning I will punish her as I see fit. I'll give her one week to enjoy her freedom. Because once these next six days are up, she's all mine!
