1 - Roommates
Sometimes you make lasting friendships in high school. Those friendships which stay with you to college and even until graduation. There are other cases where you meet your platonic soulmate, and can't ever get rid of them for the rest of your life.
That's the situation with Taehyung and Jungkook.
Best friends from childhood, all the way up to their 20s. The duo now shared an apartment and worked together to pay half the rent each. Taehyung was a photographer for magazines and newspapers. He took any kind of photograph from models to scenery and even helps out news reporters sometimes with little articles. He's very happy with this career and makes enough money to support himself.
Jungkook on the other hand has a lot of small jobs rather than one thing he's particularly interested in. He works part-time at a nearby tattoo parlour, creates video games and sells them in small shops (but usually gets ripped off) and is a hot barista at the most famous club in Seoul. He doesn't earn much all together, but is happy with his current life.
If people saw these boys together, they'd think Taehyung and Jungkook would fight and disagree on everything. But, despite being polar opposites, the two surprising got on really well together, which is how they had maintained their friendship for nearly two decades.
However, they'd be lying if they said they never argue. Sometimes Taehyung would have to wake up a sleepy Jungkook so that he wouldn't get late for work, except, the latter was a night owl and was rarely awake early in the morning. So Taehyung would have to forcefully drag him out of bed until he agreed to get ready, which was exactly their situation now.
"Jeon Jungkook, if you refuse to get up I'll be forced to pour my morning coffee all over your head." Taehyung threatened, only receiving a quiet hum in reply. He looked down at the sleeping boy and decided to quickly walk downstairs to retrieve said burning hot beverage, but by the time he reached Jungkook's room again, the red-haired boy wasn't in his previous position. Taehyung heard water running from the bathroom, which was connected to the bedroom, and smiled to himself.
The older fried some eggs and placed them on simple, white plates once they were done. Jungkook had finished showering by the time breakfast was done so he immediately sat down and dug into his meal, trying to finish as quick as possible so he could leave for work.
"You didn't have to threaten me like that, you know." Jungkook said in between bites. He heard a hum and looked up to see Taehyung
staring at his phone from across the table. "Are you listening?" He asked, but only getting the same reply as before. "What're you looking at?" Jungkook's third and final attempt to start a conversation had finally succeeded.
"It's this app..." Taehyung started, but didn't finish as his mind was lost in the screen of his phone.
Jungkook was now getting impatient.
"What about the damn app?" He huffed. Taehyung finally looked up at him and turned his phone around so that Jungkook could see the screen.
"It's an app where people, specifically littles and caregivers, can interact and meet. It's actually kinda fun~" He smiled, retracting his arm and returning to type something on his phone.
For a moment there was complete silence. Jungkook put his arms on the wooden table, leaning his head into the palm of his hand, and smirked. "So, have you met anyone yet?"
Taehyung's eyes widened and his jaw dropped a little before he quickly regained his composure and put on his usual smile. "No, not yet sadly."
"I see, well..." The younger picked up his empty plate and dumped it into the kitchen sink, putting on his black shoes and jacket. He made his way to the front door, opening it and walking through, before looking back at his roommate. "Let me know when you do." He said, shutting it behind him.
