Forbidden Desires

YiJun's POV

Heavenly bells ring in my ears; white clouds surround me. Hundreds of angels, all fully dressed, ready to march at the flick of my wrist, stand behind me.

Xuan is standing to my left and Jian to my right. And in front of me is none other than Heavenly Father. He is smiling, and so are my siblings.

He raises his hand, and silence falls around me. He walks closer, "I am so glad that you are back, Son. I have missed you." He states, squeezing my shoulder.

Where is Xian?

"Son, now that you are back, I am returning the armies to your care," He adds, handing me my sword. "After all, you exist to protect me; serve me." He continues; my mind wanders.

Xian, where are you?

"Son, all you need to do, is get rid of that abomination: Xian."

My ears perk up at the mention of his name. "What did you say, Father?"

"Get rid of Xian. He is a threat to us." He elaborates, and I shake my head.
"But he is innocent, Father." I explain and look at Xuan, "Meimei, tell him. Tell him that Xian is innocent."

Xuan frowns and turns away, "Gege, you know he is an abomination. You have seen it in his eyes, haven't you? He will be your downfall, our downfall!"

"Xuan, how can you say that!" I growl and feel a stabbing pain in my back. I wince and fall to my knees.

"You should have listened to them, Jun." A voice floats over to me: Xian's voice. I turn and come face to face with Xian, who is holding my sword. It's dripping blood: my blood.

I shake my head, "You are not him. You can't be him. You can't be my Xian!" I scream, trying to deny what is right in front of me.

It must be a trick; it has to be a trick!

I close my eyes. I hear the sound of a child giggling; it's beautiful and innocent. I leave heaven and embrace the voice.

I open my eyes; the sky is vermilion. Golden sand tickles my toes; gentle waves caress my ankles, "Xian?" I call, looking around and find him building a sandcastle just a few meters away.

"Jun!" The child, a six-year-old Xian, runs towards me and flicks my wrist, "You are late!" He points at his sandcastle, "Look, the waves almost took it down." He whines, stomping his feet.

I crouch next to him, "I am sorry, my prince," I ruffle his hair, "I got held up."

"By whom?" He enquires; crossing his arms over his chest, he pouts, "Who dares keep you away from me!?"

"My father." I reply, and he frowns, "I don't have a father." He looks at me with sad eyes, "I don't have a mother either. I only have you, Jun."

I pull him into an embrace, "Yes, Xian, you have me. You will always have me."

"Even if your father forbids it?" He quirks his brow, and I nod, "Nothing except death can keep me away from you, my prince." I reassure, making him smile.

"Our home!" He gasps all of a sudden and runs to his sandcastle, "Come, Jun. Help me save it!" He commands. And as always, I follow.

He gets to work fixing the castle walls. Meanwhile, I dig a trench around our castle.

I have to protect our home at all costs.

But just as I become sure that nothing can touch Xian's and my home, a giant wave crashes into the castle and leaves nothing but shapeless mounds and a crying Xian in its wake.

"Jun, it's gone. Our home is gone." Xian wails, making me feel helpless; useless.

"We will build it again." I offer, trying to soothe him, but he shakes his head, "I don't think we can, Jun. Not like before." He sobs, throwing his tiny arms around me. "What if a wave takes you away from me, Jun?" He asks, rubbing his runny nose into the nape of my neck.

I sigh and close my eyes, "I will never let any wave, however big or strong, take me away from you."

I close my eyes, and the scent of vanilla engulfs me.

I look around the familiar surroundings; it's my home, our home: Xian's and mine. My palm glides over the soft satin sheets, and an arm drapes around my waist; a second later, warmth spreads over my shoulder blades.

Xian!

"Jun, are you asleep?" He asks, and I turn to face him. He smiles; his fingertips stroke my brows, "What are you looking at?" He enquires, trailing his fingers over the ridge of my nose.

"You." I reply, and his smile widens, "You are always looking at me, Jun. Why?"

"Because it's you."

Xian chuckles, "What's so special about me?" He asks, his fingers caress my neck, sending shivers down my spine.

"Everything," I reply; he nods, looking satisfied. He closes his eyes, and when he opens them, they are red.

"How about now?" He asks, intertwining our fingers; I know I should move away, but something stops me, "Now too." I answer.

Xian smiles, "Aren't you afraid that I might hurt you?"

"I don't care. I don't care if it's you."

"I won't hurt you, Jun. I love you." The boy in my bed states and leans in. He stops an inch before bringing our lips together; I itch to bridge the gap and claim the luscious redbuds.

His fingers bury themselves in my hair; he tugs, and a low moan escapes me. I can feel my blood pool in my belly. Unexpectedly, Xian flips our positions and pins me under him, "You, my fallen angel, were created to protect me; serve me."

I nod, and he continues, "Jun, what can you do for me?" He enquires, discarding his shirt and my eyes take in the milky white flawless skin.

Beguiling... Pristine... Mine.

"Anything." I state; Xian nods, "Yes, anything." he pauses, tracing my lips, he asks, "My love, will you go against heaven for me?"

I nod.

"Will you lend me your wings, your sword?"

I nod.

Xian blinks; his eyes are not red anymore, "Jun, I am scared." He whispers, guiding my palm over his naked chest, "Feel my heart. Look how it is pounding."

"Why are you scared?" I enquire; I want Xian to be happy. I want to see him smile. I can't have him scared. I will eliminate the source of all his fears, whatever it costs.

"Your father," He answers, and tears escape his beautiful orbs. They make their way down his slender neck and land on his chest, right next to my palm.

"I won't let him hurt you." I reassure, swiping my thumb over the lone tear, and he moans, "Jun!" and leans in once again.

This time, however, he doesn't stop.
Our lips mate, making my heart race. Xian prise my lips open, and I give in. Our tongues acquaint, and Xian deepens the kiss. It's urgent and greedy.

He pins my hands over my head and intertwines our fingers once again before leaning away, "Do you like it, Jun?" He demands; I nod, "Yes, my prince," I feel the heat rise to my cheeks, "I like it a lot."

He hums, kissing the corner of my lips, "I like it too." he confesses, kissing my jaw; moving to my neck, he licks the shell of my ear before nipping it.

My breath hitches, and my grip on his waist tightens, "Xian, do you truly love me?"

"Yes, my angel. I do." He replies, tearing open the front of my shirt. His fingers follow the lines of my body; I enquire, "What are you doing?"

He doesn't respond. He towers over me before raking his eyes over my body, "All mine." He states matter-of-factly before capturing my lips between his.

He reverses our position once again, and I look at him questioningly. "I thought you liked... you wanted-"

"I do. But I like this better." He admits, biting his lips and adds, "I know you do too."

He giggles before cradling my face, "I know I am right, Jun." He states, pushing himself up and snaking his arm around my neck; he pulls me down to him, "Make me yours, Jun."

"Are you sure, Xian?" I enquire, not believing what I had just heard. "Please tell me that you mean it; that you truly mean it." I request, caressing his cheeks, "Say that you are mine."

He chuckles. He pulls me down and buries his face in my neck, "Wake up, Jun." He whispers, and I look up.

I watch him disappear. "No... Don't!" I scream.
