Two

The two males stare at each other. Jungkook cannot believe that his roommate is Kim Taehyung. Jungkook may or may not have noticed Taehyung over the years. Who wouldn't? Kim Taehyung is an epitome of beauty.

Taehyung clears his throat to gain the ravenette's attention. "Hi, I'm Kim Taehyung." He introduces himself. Jungkook just smirks and enters the room, closing the door behind himself.

"Aren't you the same boy who fell from the stairs and ended up in the hospital for a few days during the last semester?" Jungkook asks. Taehyung narrows his eyes. That was a bad memory for him. Why is this boy, who is basically a stranger to him, reminding him of that incident?

"That's not the true story. I did not fall. I was pushed." Taehyung says, rolling his eyes.

"Oh is it? Sorry, I don't know the details. I just saw the video that went viral. You were crying in that video." Jungkook shrugs as if it's a very normal thing. He walks over to his bed and starts arranging his things.

Taehyung looks at him in disbelief. Why do people enjoy other's pain like that? Aren't they humans? If they are then why do they lack humanity so much? This is the reason why Taehyung doesn't have many friends. Even though Taehyung is a really nice person who treats everyone with kindness, people don't reciprocate his actions and it hurts him.

It does not take a lot of time for Jungkook to arrange his side of the room. He didn't do much like Taehyung. His side is plain, unlike Taehyung's beautiful purple side.

He sits down on his bed to relax. His eyes fall on Taehyung who is sitting on his bed, looking out of the window. A pout adorns his face and Jungkook cannot help but think that he looks cute.

What the fuck, Jungkook? Cute? Kim Taehyung? Seriously? Have you lost your mind?

He scoffs at his thoughts. "By the way, I'm Jeon Jungkook." He says, getting Taehyung's attention. The blue haired boy stares at him for a few seconds before saying, "I know."

Taehyung lays down on the bed and faces the wall after covering himself with a blanket. Taehyung is usually a nice person and if Jungkook had not brought the video in their conversation, he would have said 'it's nice to meet you' and maybe talked about hobbies too instead of a plain 'I know'.

Jungkook sighs and looks away from the other's bed. He decides to sleep as well and talk to Jimin later. His friend was very excited to meet his roommate and Jungkook wants to know if his roommate turned out how Jimin expected or not.

"My roommate is really funny. We clicked as soon as we met." Jimin tells Jungkook the next day when they go to cafeteria together before classes.

"Right. So who is it?" Jungkook asks.

"His name is Jung Hoseok but they call him J-Hope. I'll call him Hobi." Jimin says. Jungkook looks at his friend as if he has seen a ghost. Jimin is a very lively person and no one would believe that he is a part of the mafia but he is dangerous too. Seeing him talk about a random guy so freely is weird for Jungkook.

"Why would you give him a nickname?" Jungkook asks.

"Cause he is funny and cute."

"Do you like him?"

"No. But I might. He has a totally likeable personality." Jimin says and Jungkook can see that his best friend is totally whipped for that Hoseok guy. It's not even been a day but still.

"Who's your roommate?" Jimin asks, shifting the conversation to the ravenette.

"No one important." Jungkook shrugs and keeps eating. Jimin looks at him with raised eyebrows but sighs and decides to leave the topic for later because he knows how hard it can be if someone tries to convince Jungkook when he is not in the mood.

Taehyung walks in the English class. He has a notebook in his hands and the book 'Wuthering Heights'. He has decided to do his project, which is more like a research, on this classic novel. How ironic is that he has already chosen a book but not a partner for the project.

When he reaches his regular seat, he sees a girl already sitting there. He politely says to her, "I'm sorry but that's my seat."

The girl looks at him and raises an eyebrow in annoyance. "I don't see your name written anywhere though." She says and goes back to pretending to read. Fighting or arguing with someone isn't the first thing Taehyung wants to do early in the morning. So he just sighs and looks for another seat.

He does spot a vacant seat but it is at the far end of the classroom. The area where he was sitting yesterday looks so crowded and Taehyung knows the reason why. It's his roommate who is sitting at the same place as he did yesterday.

Taehyung sighs and walks away. He doesn't want to be among a crowd like this. Are these popular people some kind of a celebrity that others go to such extents to please them? Now Taehyung doesn't want to sound like he is jealous or trying to hate on people for no reason, but he just finds this crazy.

He tries to focus on the class going on ahead of him but it's difficult. The people in front of him aren't paying attention themselves and are not letting him do so as well. Moreover, he wears glasses but still the vision from this far is not clear at all.

He knows he needs to get his eyes checked but that would require money. He barely manages to pay for his college and dorm expenses. How will he pay for his eye check up.

The professor shows them some presentation and asks them to take down the notes. Taehyung cannot do that because he cannot see properly. Now because of some weird students, his studies are getting hampered as well.

It's late evening and Taehyung is fussing over the notes that he couldn't take down. He doesn't even have friends. How is he going to study? He knows that what happened today in class might happen again.

He sighs and stares at his laptop screen mindlessly.

"You know you sighed for like the fifth time in the past half an hour, right? What's going on?" His roommate, who is laying on his bed casually playing with his phone, asks him.

"Uhh... nothing." Taehyung says. Jungkook stares at him for a little longer and then shrugs before focusing back on his phone.

Jungkook has had a very tiring day. First attending classes, then practicing for the football tournament that would be taking place soon and after that he had to go to the headquarters with Jimin for a meeting that his father called for. He has a deal to make with a gang this weekend.

Jungkook thought it would be some big mission that his father wants to assign him and he was kind of excited to handle it and prove it to his father. But he just has to meet some people and crack a deal. Boring job in Jungkook's opinion. But his father said that he would have to do small things too along with the bigger missions.

"Jungkook?" A soft voice calls his name out. The ravenette tears his gaze away from his phone and looks at the nervous blue haired boy.

"Yes?"

"C-Can you show me the notes of the English class from today?" Taehyung asks sweetly, hoping that the ravenette would help him.

"Sure. Open the top left drawer of my table. There's a K-Pop binder notebook in it. You can take it." Jungkook says. Taehyung smiles at his words. He didn't really think that the ravenette would help him. He was expecting a cold reaction, like yesterday but Jungkook just made him relieved.

"Oh my god! Thank you so much, Jungkook." Taehyung says as he reaches to open the drawer and take the notebook out. Jungkook looks at Taehyung carefully. He thinks that the box-like smile looks really good on him.

"Why are you thanking me? It's just studies. Oh my god, don't tell me you're a nerd." Jungkook fake gasps and covers his mouth with both his hands dramatically. Taehyung rolls his eyes and says, "I'm not a nerd but I don't wish to flunk, you know?"

He sees the notebook which in Taehyung's opinion looks cute and aesthetic at the same time. He didn't expect from the ravenette to possess such cute things.

"So you're into K-Pop?" Taehyung asks, tracing the pattern on the notebook lightly with his finger.

"Definitely. K-Pop is love." Jungkook says and Taehyung definitely agrees to that.

"So we have something in common, roommate." Taehyung says and claps his hands excitedly. He is glad that his roommate is not an asshole and he can talk to him normally. It's been a while since someone even talked to him nicely in the university after his friends graduated. This seems like a good change for him.
