Seventy Three

"J-Jungkook... I..." Hoseok is at loss of words. He knew that helping Mingyu was not a really good idea, specially when he worked in the inner circle of the Orion. But he could not just help it. Taehyung was his friend back in college. After everything, he still considers him his friend.

"You were spying on us, hyung?" Jungkook asks, looking hurt. He looks from Taehyung to Hoseok again and again, wanting them to deny this. Wanting them to tell him that it isn't what he is thinking. But....

"I'm sorry, Kook. I c-couldn't help it." The eldest among the three says.

"Why, hyung? I thought you were on my side? Why would you go and help Mingyu?" The ravenette asks. He needs an answer or he would lose his mind.

"B-But Mingyu hyung is your friend now, Kook. S-So how does that matter?" Taehyung asks and indeed that was a very wrong question asked at a very wrong time. Jungkook glares at him, "You shut up! I'm already dealing a backstabber but now I find out that a member of my own inner circle is also one."

Hoseok does not like that. The word backstabber shouldn't be used for him. He never went against Jungkook. He cannot even think about it. "I... I didn't backstab you, Kook." He says softly. He hopes that the younger calms down first so that he can explain.

"Really? Then mind telling me what the heck were you two talking about?" He asks through clenched teeth. His eyes continue to shoot daggers. Taehyung shakes his head before speaking, "Give him a chance to explain, Kookie. Communication is the key, remember? You know what happened when Mingyu hyung and you did not talk, right?"

Jungkook nods. Taehyung is indeed right. He needs to learn his lesson from the incident that happened and try not to repeat it again. Only then can he be a more efficient leader. He sighs and looks at Hoseok, "Tell me, hyung. Why did you do that?"

A small smile forms on the older's face. He is glad that Jungkook is ready to listen. "So uhh... You told me to go to Seoul first during our last visit to Tokyo. I was on my way to the airport three days before Taehyung came to us... which was exactly the day when you asked Mingyu to send him here. I was in my car but another car suddenly came and stopped right in front of us. I freaked out. I thought there was gonna be an accident."

Taehyung chuckles, "It's so like Mingyu hyung. He likes to make sudden entries."

"I don't think we are here to talk about that, Kim. I don't have the whole day so shut up and let me hear him out." Jungkook glares at him again. He pouts, "Meanie." He mumbles and Jungkook has to somehow controls a smile from spreading across his lips because of how cute he is.

"Yeah so... the car stopped right in front of mine and a person came out of it. He told me that his boss, Kim Mingyu, would like to talk to me. I declined, obviously. But he said that it's about Taehyung and I couldn't say no. I just couldn't because... since college, I've considered him a really good friend. I know he has suffered a lot in the past too..." Hoseok says, glancing at Taehyung who is now staring at the floor, biting his lower lip. Jungkook feels guilty again.

Hoseok sighs and continues, "So I decided to meet him. I got in his car and he got straight to the point. He said that he knows that you wouldn't hurt his brother most probably because he knows that you have deep feelings for him. But... not everyone in the gang would be kind to him and that's why... he just asked me to look after his brother. He did not ask for any information related to the gang, Kook. He just wanted me to keep an eye on Tae and keep him away from danger. He just told me that if something bad happened, I should inform him because after all, he is a brother who is entrusting his little one to some other gang." Hoseok says. He looks at Jungkook for any reaction but he just nods.

Jungkook now understands that why Mingyu must have asked Hoseok to keep an eye on his brother. Everything makes sense now. "So you didn't backstab me?" He asks, looking deep into Hoseok's eyes to make sure he isn't lying or anything.

"No, I didn't. I would never do that, Kook. I know you guys helped during the lowest point of my life. So I won't ever even think about doing something like that. I would rather die than backstab you." Hoseok says, voice full of sincerity. His voice holds so much determination that Jungkook starts feeling bad. He doubted Hoseok, a person who has always been loyal to him and the gang since he joined them.

"I'm sorry." He mumbles and without making an eye contact with the other two males, he leaves the kitchen.

------------------------------

The day has been rather boring for Taehyung. He was not supposed to stay at the hideout of the Orion for this long but he wanted to make sure Jungkook is no more angry before he leaves. But the ravenette has been busy with Yoongi and Hoseok and he did not get to check on him.

So Taehyung is sitting quietly in the living room, watching some random movie. He is so glad that none of the people at the Orion give him any weird glances anymore. They don't see him as a piece of meat and he wonders if its because of the fact that he handled the Yakuza for quite sometime. They must have noticed that he is not all that weak. Whatever the reason is, he has stopped receiving those dirty stares and he is fucking happy about that.

"Taehyung!" Jimin waves his hand at him from the staircase. Taehyung smiles when he sees him. "Hey, Jimin!" He and Jimin have become quite good friends lately. The shorter male likes to say that they are best friends.

"Do you wanna go for a walk with me. I'm taking Bam with me." Jimin says. That's when Taehyung notices the little (well, not so little pup) standing near him.

Taehyung's mood lifts up when he sees him. He turns off the television and runs in his direction. He quickly crouches down in front of him. "Hey, baby! I didn't know you were here." Taehyung cups his face and rubs him, showing him his affection. Bam leans in his touch, making Taehyung smile.

"Well, Jungkook missed him so when Yoongi hyung and Hobi hyung came today, he asked them to bring him with them." Jimin informs.

"Makes sense." Taehyung says before kissing Bam on the crown of his head. He stands up after that and looks at his friend. "Okay, let's go for a walk. I'm bored anyway." He says.

The two males start walking outside. Well, they are not going anywhere else but the garden for a walk but Taehyung is excited anyway. He really wanted to talk to someone and he found Jimin at the right time.

"You know I could introduce Bam to my boy. They would be great friends." Taehyung squeaks, remembering the conversation he had with Jungkook about this.

"Or they could be lovers, like you and Jungkook." Jimin teases him and Taehyung's eyes widen. This is exactly what Jungkook had said to him a few days ago. The thought of the ravenette instantly brings a smile on his face.

After a few seconds, Taehyung looks at Jimin with curiosity. "Now that you brought lovers, I wanna ask you something." He starts. Jimin nods, leaving Bam's leash to let him run freely a little.

"What is it?"

"About Hobi hyung and you. What's your story?" Taehyung asks. He has thought about it so many times and after what Hoseok said to Jungkook in the kitchen today, he cannot contain his curiosity anymore. He always thought about it whenever he saw Jimin and Hoseok and now, he couldn't help but ask him.

"Well... it's not all sunshine and rainbows, obviously." Jimin sighs and looks in the direction of a log of wood. The hideout is actually an underground bunker which is fully equipped with everything they need and the latest technology. The garden is actually the woods.

So the two of them sit on a log of wood and Taehyung waits for the older to start talking. After a few moments of silence, Jimin begins, "So uhhh... back in college, Hobi hyung and I fell in love."

Taehyung chuckles with a teasing glint in his eyes, "Of course. You two were so obvious. I low-key shipped you two." The statement makes Jimin go red.

"Well, then your ship sailed, I guess." He smiles shyly and Taehyung laughs, nodding his head.

"So when we fell in love and he confessed his feelings to me, I felt that it was wrong on my part to keep my i-identity hidden. So I... decided to tell him the truth and he reacted exactly the way any normal person would." Jimin says in a small voice. That day was the saddest day in his life.

Taehyung places his hand on his shoulder and gently squeezes it, telling Jimin that he is there for him. The shorter male takes a deep breath and continues, "So he got mad at me, called me a liar, fraud and what not. And it hurt me, Taehyung. It was a very painful experience for me." His eyes get blurry with tears and the younger consoles him by rubbing his shoulders gently.

"T-Then, the college got over. All of us left and... I didn't see Hobi hyung for months... until one day... one day I met him in a restaurant, working as a waiter." Jimin says. Taehyung's eyebrows crease in confusion.

"A waiter? I never thought he would do something like that. I always thought that he would be a dancer or a choreographer." Taehyung interrupts him. Jimin nods, "That's what I thought too at that time. I so wanted to talk to him but then I thought that... he might not want to talk to me. So I just ate and left.

"But he followed me outside the restaurant and asked me if we could talk. I was... still very whipped for him so I agreed." Jimin chuckles at his own words and Taehyung smiles too. If you fall in love once, it's not easy to forget.

"So you guys talked?"

"Yeah, we did. He told me that... his father was k-killed by the loan sharks." He reveals. Taehyung gasps, his hand falling from his shoulder. Losing one's family member is hard as it is. He can't imagine what it would be like to lose one's parent due to murder. He also knows that Hoseok only had a father in his family. He told him when they were still in college.

"And he was in rage, Taehyung. Trust me, I had never seen Hobi hyung so angry. He told me that he wanted revenge and he would do anything to get that." Jimin almost whispers the last part.

Taehyung understands where this is going. "So he wanted to join Orion?" He asks.

"Yes, he did. He said and I quote, "I'm ready to sell my soul to you if you can help me avenge my father's death." And that explained enough. I decided to help him without making him join Orion because I didn't want to ruin his life. But I couldn't do it without talking to Jungkook. Of course, he did not agree. Said rules are rules. He said that if Hobi hyung wants revenge, he would have to join us. I told hyung about this and he was ready in an instant. The fire for revenge was burning really strong in his heart.

"So he came and we got rid of his father's killer for him. Well, not before letting him beat the shit out of him. He didn't want to kill him because he didn't want to be a murderer like him--- like us. So we dirtied our hand for him. But once you're a part of the mafia, there's no way out. It always follows you. So he decided to stay and... our love rekindled." Jimin exclaims happily at the last part. Taehyung nods, smiling widely. So Hoseok never killed anyone. He couldn't imagine the older with a gun.

"So what does Hobi hyung do now?" He asks curiously.

"He heads the research team. It's his kind of job. You know, like office work?" Jimin laughs and Taehyung joins him.

They had a really emotional conversation right now, so Taehyung decides to distract them from it.

He pulls out his phone and suggests that they should do some online shopping. "Can we please... uh..." Jimin starts but stops. Taehyung turns to look at him and sees him getting all red. He raises an eyebrow and asks, "Park Jimin, what is it?"

"Pr-Promise me you won't make fun of me first." He says shyly. The brunette puts an arm around him and pulls him closer. "I'm your best friend, Jimin. I would never." He says with a smile.

"Okay." Jimin smiles as well.

"So tell me now... What were you saying?"

"Can we...Can we take a look at some...lingerie?" Jimin asks, looking unsure. He doesn't want Taehyung to judge him.

The artist raises an eyebrow and stares at him. "Do you cross dress?" He asks, looking intently in the other's eyes.

Jimin gulps and slowly nods, feeling too embarrassed. Perhaps, he shouldn't have said that. Isn't it weird? Such a powerful member of the mafia actually cross dresses.

"Hey, Chim. You don't need to feel embarrassed about it. I was just surprised. Please don't think that I'm judging you." Taehyung says, immediately trying to save him from the embarrassment.

"Are you sure?"

"Of course I am, Jimin. How can I judge you when I love to cross dress myself?"
