In this one-shot, Percy is a Hufflepuff (loyalty qualities) and Annabeth is a Ravenclaw (do I need to explain?)

Percy POV:

"I wanted to be in blue though" I said, pouting. I mean, I let that hat take a sneak peak into my head and my whole head was filled with thoughts of me marrying the colour blue, but still it put me in yellow.

"Hufflepuff's not that bad you know" Cedric said. I was a transfer from Ilvernmomy. Cedric was a 5th year Hufflepuff while I was a 3rd year Hufflepuff. I just scoffed "As if they will give me blue cookies. But wait, atleast you guys have  cookies, right?" I asked, freaking out a bit.

"You definitely do not belong in Ravenclaw" Cedric laughed.
"Oh shut up Ced"
"Come on, let's go now. And I have a few prefect duties too,"
"No shit Sherlock" I said and we go to the Hufflepuff dorms.

*Time skip brought to you by yours truly*

"Oh schist" I said, looking at my watch. It was my first lesson today, and I was already 20 mins late. I quickly took all of my stuff and hurried to McGonagall's class.
But once I reached there, I found no one, literally no one there. I looked at the big watch that stood above the massive doors and swore under my breath.
"Fuck you Diggory"

My wristwatch was altered to show me that I am one hour late. Great! Now I had 40 mins before class starts. And of course, I slept.

"You drool when you sleep"
I rubbed my eyes and I couldn't breathe.
A girl, a few centimeters shorter than me, with blonde hair and Princess curls and grey eyes was looking at me, calculating my moves. 
"Hello! Earth to, ehhh?" She waved her hand in front of my eyes.
I quickly recovered my senses and tried to say something "Percy" I finally manage to say.

She smiled, oh and thank the gods that I didn't swoon all over her "You dozed off. You're lucky McGonagall didn't catch you"

"Thanks" I said "For saving me detention on day one"

  "Well I think you should pay attention Jackson," someone said- Professor McGonagall.

"Yes, prof" I said and turned my head back to the beautiful girl.

"So are you a princess?" I ask, rather dumbly.

She snorted "What! No- I am Annabeth. Annabeth Chase"

And me being, well me, noticing her blue robes said "Hey, you are in blue!"

She looked confused for a moment "Excuse me?"

"I mean you got in the blue house. Do you have thought of marrying blue, huh? Or wait, do you eat blue cookies! Or do you-"

"NO! Idiot, I think I know why you are not in Ravenclaw now" she said.

I just pouted "You too"

She sighed "Come on. Didn't you hear McGonagall? Ravenclaw is for the wise. Or what the others call us- Nerds"

"Well, I'm not a nerd." I said "But I do love blue"  

And then I got detention from McGonagall for talking in class. great- just great. Detention in my first class. 

"Good job, Persay," Annabeth said, rather sarcastically.

"thank you," I said, giving her a dramatic bow.

And the rest of the class just went up like that. Seamus Finnigan ended up blowing his stuff and McGonagall assigned us some homework.

"So your assignment is" she said "to write a detailed essay on what you were taught last year. And your desk partner will be your partner for the assignment"

I turned towards Annabeth, my partner 

"So partners now, huh?" she said

"Yeah. But I don't think I will be any help" I said "I just joined this school today"

"Even if you were here from before, you would still have been no help. Oh wait I got it! Seaweed brain!" she said

"Why seaweed brain?"

"You said you liked blue and swimming. And your brain is definitely filled with seaweed. So- seaweed brain!"

"Very good, wise girl" I say, sarcastically.

"Whatever, seaweed brain. Meet me in the library after detention" she said and walked away

"bye"

*le good ol' time skipppppppppppppp*

"hey seaweed brain" Annabeth walks up to me

"Wise girl" I say, shaking her hand.

"Lets get this over with" she said. I just sighed "Yeah"

*Another amazhang time skipppppppppppp*

Annabeth and I had been meeting up every day for the assignment. Annabeth was the one doing all the work, while I just sat goofing around and eating food. Today, we finally turned in our assignment and it was an end to these good times. The truth is, I might or might not have developed a slight crush on her. Correction- a huge crush on her. Its just that I don't think she likes me back.

"Hey. Pssst, hey" I looked behind me and found Annabeth calling me. I rushed towards her and casually leaned in "Hey Annie. Sup?"

"Umm, would you like to-you know- now that the assignment is over- maybe we can still meet up?" she said, shuttering a lot.

"Yeah, that would be cool. And even the Hogsmeade trip is coming up" I say

"Yeah" she smiles. 'Come on Percy, this is your chance! Ask her out!'

"Ummm, hey, would you like to-you know," I say, leaning in and closing my eyes "Would you like to go on a date with me?" 

"Yes, that would be awesome!" she says, and I could feel her breath closer to my face. It tingles and sparks flow as we make contact. Closer- more and more closer. And finally, the way I wanted it to be.

Her lips touched mine as my hands found a way to pull her closer to me. 

And guess what? We might or might not have ended up making out and I might or might not have asked her to be my girlfriend....
